Aveshar considered Mort with an arch of his brows, a tightening of his mouth. She was a, different creature than he was used to dealing with.. he could sense a sort of emptiness inside her... A... A lack of something... Ambition.. Soul... He didn't really understand it.. Just knew something was not quite right... "Lady Mort." He said formally. "I am almost sure that you did not call me away from the Pride, so we could speak in secret... Just to express to me Briseis's plans for herself in my Pride.. Whatever they may, or may not, be... I acknowledge no pet, and I would appreciate it if you did not saddle me with the title of a caretake of anyone.. I am a King, not a Den Mother..."

Flaming paws hit the dirt, singeing the ground below her. Outward fangs gleamed slightly as glazed, blue eyes stared out on the lands. The deadness of this place...the wickedness she saw...it all fit into her heart. Oh, how she craved for it.
Standing at the boarder, maw turned upward, she roared to the King of these sickly lands. It eerily echoed as the flame tribal settled to her rump on the dirt. The flame ring on her tail flickered softly as she waited, ear flicking. How the adornments on them didn't ruin her hearing, she would never know. Claws gently scratched at the dead ground below her as she waited.

Aveshar's lip curled in distaste at the sound of another's paws on his land... Well, not on his land yet... Beyond his borders... Approaching... Very close... When the newcommer stopped just beyond his land, he perked an ear, listening as a confident roar announced the presence of a female at the border. He smiled faintly and tossed his head back. A roar rumbled from his deep chest and spilled out his throat, rushing through the lands and rubbing down the bodies of every female within his reach. 'Wait...' The call ordered. 'I will come to you...' He tured to Mort, considering her. "Another comes to the Twisted Kingdom... Can this conversation wait while I bring her into the lands?" Without waiting for an answer, he bolted away from her. "I will return before you have need of me, Lady Mort..." He moved like a ripple of shadow and nightmare towards the borders of the lands... Eager to see this newcommer... My my.. So many is so short a time... Things certainly were getting interesting... He slowed as he neared the dead forest, winding through it and the hallway of stone... Smiling as he finally neared the border and noticed the female who stood on the still living grass... His land was practically separated from the rest of the world by a wall of glass, one side was rich and vibrant, the other silver in death... Mist and fog ran rampant, disguising the wraith-beasts of the DeadField... "Welcome to the Twisted Kingdom..."

Her glazed, blue eyes stared over to his form. The grasses around her were burnt and singed by the flames upon her form. Tail flicking, she stood up fully and gave a bow, short enough to be respectful. "Thank you." Her silken, venemous voice rang through the air.
Lifting her head, she stared into the blackness of his eyes. "My name is Diera. I wish to leave my past behind and start anew in the darkness I consider home." Her voice rumbled through her throat, flames crackling pleasently against her black pelt. "My father is nothing but a joke to this race; my mother was something of a demon that considered herself too high to live among her children. I do not trust anyone, but I seek refuge. If you will not allow me, I can turn on my way and search somewhere else."

Aveshar paced across the border with the faintest of smiles, circling about her as he considered her words. Hmm... Her father a joke? Pity. Mother a demon? Intriguing... She was, promising stock.. All in all.. Dark and bold and a little sassy... He smiled wider, facing her once more. "I find you a most tolerable lioness, Diera... Though whether or not that changes as we become acquainted, I cannot yet say... However, as you stand right now... You would be more than suitable, and welcome in the Twisted Kingdom... However." His eyes glinted like silver ice. "My word is law... My breath is rule... And every action you take against me could be your last... Understood?"

She didn't bother look toward him as he inspected her. However, the flames around her body seemed to heaten and rise slightly as he came close. She wasn't used to this sort of thing. At his "threat" of ruler, however, she gave him a dark look. "I fear no death, Aveshar. If it is my last breath, then so be it. I use it to fight until the end."
Left ear flicking, she waited for him to lead her into his deathly home. The grass around her paws were completely black at this point, void of all life now. Diera's eyes became a little clearer before hazing back to their glazed appearance.

"Rest assured, once you enter my Kingdom... If I wish your death, there is not enough breath in you to oppose the decision." He said flatly, leaving no room for argument. "That said, come to the Den... I have a, meeting..." His lip curled in distaste. "But I will return to the Den as soon as it is finished... I am sure you and Briseis will be well until I can return to you." That said, he turned and returned to the pride. His heavy paws brushing the silver grass. He knew the fire that burned about her paws could do no damage to his realm, for he willed it to be as it was... And that was all there was to it...
He led her through the Corrider of Stone, the Field and Forest... Smiling as he stood in sight of his den once again. Briseis stood in sight, and he tossed her the faintest of smiles... A nod of his head and he turned. "The Lady Briseis... Lady Diera... Keep yourselves well until I return..."
And then he was gone again, returning to Mort's side... "Shall we have our discussion, Lady Mort? I find the Pride a busy place, and have no wish for any more interruptions..."

Mort's pitiless gaze flickered as he moved away from her, her tail snapped out in annoyance, with a toss of her ebony locks she smirked. 'He thinks very high of himself..' she thought to herself, a lock of her thoughts, no one could break that lock. She tilted her head, her movements were almost like a puppets, and in truth she was somewhat a puppet.
As he came back, her sulken gaze moved back towards him. ' As King you have an honor to those who plague themselves loyal to you. Do not forget that...without those around you. You kingdom will fall..Oh cocky one.' She could hear her master in her head, telling her things only a true king should know...to tell him. Her eyes danced with the dark secrets but she didnt mutter them. Wondering how she'd be punished. She licked her fangs, her dark ash grey tongue curling around the ivories.
She didnt fear the male before her, he could rip her apart, and she'd pull herself together only to continue the battle...she lived for the next battle, the next taste of death, the next thrill of taking anothers.

Aveshar smiled, shrugging. "Loyalty is a pretty idea... But as yet, no one has pledged loyalty unto me, Sweet Mort... I have had little time with any of my new Pride Members, let alone time with them alone where they could pledge themselves to me... As yet, they only acknowledge I am stronger than they... That I am King. I do not ask for Loyalty, Loyalty can be bought and traded and fettered away as nothing." He shrugged, the elegant motion dancing down his back in ripples. "So what I do and do not have as far as responsibility and honor is not to be discussed as this time... And as not even you have pledged your pretty 'loyalty' to me yet, I do no think that -were I to discuss anything with anyone- it would be you... Now... You called me away from Lady Brieis in your wanting for a private conversation.. I have given it to you... What is it that required us to be alone? Has your master other messages for me?"

Mort's brow knitted together, as she bit her bottom lip. Was he really that foolish? Apparently so, she pondered as she tilted her head to the side before her paws began to carry her past him.
She was done, let her master his wrath out on her but to her, he didnt seem to want any messages. She hoped his cocky ways didnt hurt him later, she flicked her tail feathers, her ears pinned back. I dont have the choice to pledge my loyalties to anyone, even if I did, What reason had he shown to gain them? Just because he had brute stregnth? Oooh, she quivered in her steps with a snicker. This time, she left her barrier down, he could listen to her thoughts if he truly wished to. She moved past the other females, she didnt care what either of them thought, her empty eyes flickered over them as she continued forward she'd traveled far and long, and damnit she just wanted to rest her paws. The chain around her neck tighted, almost to a choking point, her air way was being slowly cut off, her master must have liked something she had done..Her eyes glazed over with a dark, lustful joy.

Aveshar bit back a snarl and fought hard not to send her tumbling with a huge paw. She really was an irritating female, prancing into his lands and demanding a private meeting... And then telling him nothing... Rather questioning his leadership. He growled and paced past her, eager to return to the den. He knew Briseis wanted a private word with him... And he was sure he should take a few moments to meet the newest arrival, Diera... He suppressed a sigh. "Ladies.." He rumbled, addressing Diera and Briseis. "Do either of you require me for private conversations?" He tossed a look at Mort. "I hope they will be more constructive than others I have given..." He could smell the dark pleasure rolling through her form, and it made him wrinkle his muzzle in displeasure. So, her master was pleased with her? And pleasuring her -in her own way- as a reward... He found her irritating and evasive.... More power to her master then. He didn't feel he had time for such games.

The chain continued to tightened, she didnt let on as it bit into her coat, the metal cut into the flesh, her blood began to taint the glistening metal. She was being punished for her disobedience, Mort lowered herself down beside what looked to be a weeping tree, she kept her back to the others. Aveshar's words didnt effect her at all, let him do his worst. She lowered her head downwards, almost in a bowing fashion, her gaze blurring as she couldnt breath any longer.
Her head slipped between her paws as she passed out. As she did so, the chain fell back to its normal loseness, but the earth around her frosted over, tinting to an snowy hue. She'd be wise not to be so, bold next time. To be as submissive with this King as she was with her own..maybe.

The flame lioness has stepped behind Aveshar, walking into his lands. Strangely, her flames did nothing to the grasses or grounds. It was slightly interesting to her that he had some strange powers over his lands.
Nodding, she walked into the den looking over at the other lioness. She seemed a bit meek and weakly. How did she ever end up in this pride, Diera would never know. Waiting on him, she settled onto her haunches, licking at her flaming paws.
As Aveshar stepped into the den, she noticed the other lioness with him. She had soulless eyes with a chain around her neck, which tightened to the point of almost killing her. Interestingly, Diera didn't seem to care if she lived or died. At Aveshar's question, she shook her head. "No, Lord Aveshar. I have no need to speak privately with you. However, if you have any with the other lionesses, I could leave." She nodded, blue eyes staring into his extremely dark ones.

For some time Aveshar stood in silence, watching as Mort paced past... Not entering the den, but passing it... Scenting the tainted pleasure rolling through her in waves. He pinned his ears, nostrils flaring as his mind took note. So, pain was her pleasure? He had met her ilk before... They did not amuse him... Did not interest him... Usually did not attract him. He watched her lower herself -somewhat gingerly, he thought- to the ground beneath a weeping tree, arching a brow. Her breath -once tainted with an almost silent noise of pleasure- was slowing.. Cutting off... He knew with a certainty that the chain was cutting off her air.. Pleasuring her no longer... He watched with cold silver eyes as she passed out.
Diera's words turned his attention to her. He arched a silver brow, then nodded. "Very well.. However, you can make yourself comfortable in the den... Myself and Lady Briseis will take our private, chat, elsewhere..." He glanced about the land, blankly, smirking... Briseis had already moved off to wait for him. He nodded his head in satisfaction.. Well then... Naught to do but seek her out so they could have this chat. "Do you require anything from me, Lady Diera? Before I leave you to your thoughts for a while?"

Diera shook her head slowly, bangs moving in front of her face now. "No, but thank you, Dark King. I think I will be fine, just some rest would do me well." Her tail flicked slightly as she slowly curled herself in the spot she was sitting in. Flames seemed to encase her black body as her glazed eyes closed. "Happy Huntings, Lord Aveshar..." She simply murmured before falling quickly into a fitful sleep.
