"Worlds self made are so full of monsters and demons."
House of Incest : Anaïs Nin

There was an odd sort of peace that descended on the two. They spoke of alot of different things, Wil knew. But he would be hard pressed to provide details.

The words seemed to curl and slant as they slid through him. As a breezy guest they came in and departed shortly after greeting. The one thing that Wil remembered was the feeling of quietude that stretched between them both. A silver strand of well-being.

Eventually he realized that the landscape around them had taken on a brilliance he had never seen elsewhere. Autumn did not just sneak up and then die into winter, it smoldered through each tree and burned each leaf singly until the young forest was ablaze with seasonal color. The grass withered to golden hue, a sea of shining metallics.

"Does time move so quickly here?" he asked "or have we been talking for so long?"

"Does it matter?" the other said softly. "this time will never happen again. I, for one, intend to enjoy it for that reason alone. Open yourself to it, for all we know...this is the last moment we live."

Wil obeyed, tossing his head back and closing his eyes. The sun glinted against him, warming. His hair took on a copper tint, his pale skin almost looking as moonstone, his shut eyes were sapphire and jade. For that second he felt entirely a part of this dream...this world, this place.

Gadriel watched with interest, his gaze probing and appreciative. He was a great appreciator of beauty, and this boy was entirely too precious. He had noted the change as well.

After a time, Wil opened his eyes. He was merely Wil again, abashed and slightly flustered. Pink had stolen back into his skin, the metal leeched from his hair. The sun had pulled her blessings back from him.

Gadriel had gotten to his feet, turning smoothly. His movements always looked deliberate, even if not always graceful. But Wil squinted. He looked blurry...faded.

"Hey..." he said, waving his hand through the suddenly transparent grasses.

Gadriel had pursed his lips for a moment, until he realized that a strand of consciousness stretched between them. Tenuous, slim...but there. If he could but hold on to that.

His lips grazed where Wil's forehead would have been, and he stared into the spot where his eyes faded.

*We will be together soon.* he whispered gently.

"My name is Wil Holden. And I'm an Outsider."

He said the words, feeling slightly foolish. The declaration had sounded much more meaningful unspoken. More powerful, heavy with tension that was not released by words. It weighed on him heavily, that tension. But the speaking had weakened those words, the menace in them. It made him almost dip his toe in the ground as an abashed teenager asking for a date.

Some part of him regretted the speech. Something vital and alive had surrendered. Even if it had intimidated and oppressed, there had been a vibrancy that these four walls dulled. The air devoured the essence of those words, leaving no echo save memory.

And then, silence.

He stood in his tattered apartment, dust covering much, soot everything else. Beyond his window did not exist for him yet, he had not looked there. Only this room, only himself. But it was he that was Outside. That was the feeling that suddenly came back, and even the terrible weight of it was welcome.

"How can I be Outside?" he tried again. "Easy. Everything else is Inside. I was once there, too. But not now. Not now."

He paced. Small circles. As if motion could lure him back Inside. It failed.

"What is Outside?" he said, sighing. "Me." And he laughed, a shaky, scared, nonsensical laugh. The thought was there that he could be a little crazy. He wouldn't deny it. IF the whole world had gone mad as he suspected, then why not he as well? Even Outside as he was....

He sat down in the dust and laughed until tears were streaming down his cheeks. Water. Outside of him. There was little or much to laugh over. He chose laughter.

Things had not always been so completely unhinged. There was a time that didn't seem all that long ago (and yet was ages ago) where things actually seemed just slightly abnormal.

But then, it always starts that way.

It all began with a business card, an empty box, a quarrel, and a fine rain of ash.

The Sea's Wrath...
(RP took place June 29th, 2006)
{RP took place in the Shop}

Rook
In through the door of the Store walks a graceful individual. Standing just above 6 feet, with ebon skin and braided hair falling to his neck, the man looks about the store with mild interest, his eyes glittering softly red as his head turns to take in his surroundings. He wears a loose blue shirt and bright red summer shorts and sandals, and carrys a sachel over his shoulder. He reaches up and strokes the beginnings of a goatee and walks lazily toward the bar, wondering if anyone is home.

Kaelin
Kaelin sat curled against the banister of the curling stairs to the second story, the god stared at the wall, his eyes unfocused as his mind ran over the recent events. His eyes, usually a light carribean blue was now dark, inky, the iris and pupils the same color. The corkscrew curls that fall around the pale white skin were unkempt, as if he hadn't bothered trying to straighten them out in a couple days.

He blinked when he felt the door open, the sounds from outside coming into the interior of the shop. He turned his head to look over at the man that entered the shop. Kaelin was only half dressed, he wears no shirt, and his slender frame is obvious. He pushed up to this bare feet and the purple silk pants are wrinkled and cling to his scaled legs. Around his waist you can see where his skin fades into scales, and a blue jewel sparkles from his hip. Water lazily leans on the banister and eyes the newcomer, not saying anything.

Rook
The dark man pauses on his approach to the bar, glancing at Kaelin as he stands. "Riiight," he thinks as he looks the patron over, then he glances at the gem at Kaelin's hip, "Ouch! They must have some good drinks here if he can't feel that thing"

Turning fully toward the pale man, he points his thumb over his shoulder toward the door. "Hey pal, mind tellin' me what this place is? Good to get in out of the scenery outside but I don't wanna be intrudin' if this place is private. The door was unlocked."

Kaelin
Kaelin tilted his head and looked at the man, he decended the few steps down off the stairs. Water left his hand on the banister as he finished eyeing the rather dark individual and a smirk curled his lips. He spoke, very quietly, "No you are not intruding, as far as I know this place is still open to those who have lost their way..." His hand dropped away from the railing and he slid forward another couple of steps, "Would you like some coffee, or tea while we... talk?" His voice was smooth, and it seemed to say more then his words implied.

Kaelin caught him looking at his jewel and his smirk widened slightly. "Excuse my rudeness, my name is Kaelin. You are?"

Rook
"The names Rook, and its been ages since I had a decent coffee."

Looks around and realizes the bar is self serve, and gets to work on brewing a pot.

"Open to whoever is lost, eh? Thats real generous of whoever owns it. Am i gonna owe for the drinks?"

Desiderio
You need to stop climbing in the window so often.

Alex
Alex's booted footsteps stopped as she neared the Edelsteine shop, and she frowned at the god's complaint. Why? I don't like it downstairs.

Desiderio
You hardly see anyone, anymore, unless you go to visit Ea and Orin. Doesn't that bother you?

Alex
Maybe a little. It's bothering you, isn't it?

Desiderio
I would like to see others, he admitted after a moment. I wouldn't mind speaking with Illumin again, or seeing whoever else we haven't yet. Please, Alex? We don't have to stay if no one's there.

Alex
Fine, you win. The vampire sighed and gave in, going to the front door rather than around the building. Smoothing the front of her short skirt, she opened the door and slipped in.

Kaelin
Kaelin shook his head and put his hands into the pockets of his silk pants, "There are compensations for keeping the doors open to all, it is not a purely selfless act. The kitchen is open, you are more then welcome to the coffee and need not worry about payment." Kaelin padded across the floor, slipping his hands out of his pockets to rest them on the bar as he perched on one of the stools.

The door opened again, it had been awhile since he had seen it so busy in the shop. He turned his head toward the door and froze like a deer in headlights, it was her. He growled slowly "though keeping the doors open to all allows a few scum in with the rest unfortunately..."

Wil
He should have worn an overcoat, Wil considered glumly. For despite his appearance when he had left his home...he was now covered in a fine level of ash and silt.

He feared attempting to brush it off, for it might smear and make him look even the worse for it.

An overcoat...and an umbrella. How depressing it all was. He missed blue skies, and singing birds and the sound of water on the steps of his home. None of that was here now.

Nothing at all. Except the simple business card he had found in his mailbox. There was no corresponding letter at all with it. Merely the card itself. He wondered what it was for, or what it indicated. Was the rest of the correspondence lost?

These thoughts had run through his mind as he had ventured out into the now foreign area. He had been keeping to the inside as much as possible, as he was sure most sane people were.

Knocking on the door after ascertaining the address he was surprised as it opened at his touch.

"Erm, hello?" he greeted. "Is anyone here?" He hesitated to step foot inside, but the largeness that greeted his sight caused his jaw to drop slightly in surprise.

Rook
Rook steps out of the kitchen after raiding it for coffee and a piece of buttered bread now poking out of his mouth which he does his best to talk around

"mmph, wawwa feen fy fum?" Swallows "whatcha mean by scum?" Rook continues to work away at getting coffee brewing, not really noticing the door

Tempest
He glanced at the outside of the building for a moment's inspection. Trying to find another birthday gift had taken up most of his time that day. But she was worth it. At least to him.

The building looked old, but he thought about the things she already had. Maybe there'd be something in this place that he could add to the the present he already had.

Somehow he doubted it, but it seemed an interesting enough place. Pushing the door open, he stopped abruptly to keep from bumping into another person.

"Um.. wow.. " he said mumbling to himself, shoving his hat back at an angle. "More people here than I expected."

Glancing around he frowned trying to get a feel for what this place was.

Alex
It hadn't crossed her mind that Kaelin might be in the shop. Maybe somewhere outside, in the river or something, but not in here. Alex didn't have a problem with the Water God, but apparently he had a problem with her...understandable, but it stung, and she didn't like being called names.

Should've gone in the window. Damn hindsight.

"Huh, didn't know you had legs." Her tone was pleasant enough, but she couldn't let his insult slide, and she continued, "Let's see....fifty-fifty chance you have balls, though. You're kind of pretty, so...I'm betting not."

Desiderio
Alex, I wouldn't do this. It's not a good idea, and he has a right to be angry with you.

Alex
Glancing towards the dark man, she grinned, showing fangs. "By scum? He means me."

She turned her head then, looking over the two men who'd come in behind her, raising an eyebrow. Hell of a lot of people tonight...all men but her. Hmm.

Rook
Rook sees the teeth and nods to himself, thinking "Hating vampires. That dosn't really suprise me."

He then stand up and looks at the croud of people filtering through the door. "Coffee's on, whoever wants it." He then looks back to Kae.

"So you were gonna tell me what kind of place this is exactly? Seems pretty popular." He offers Water a hot cup of joe in an effort to distract him from the woman who just insulted him, wondering if he wasn't handing Kae a weapon.

Wil
"Uh, hi." Wil said, doing his best to smile brightly, despite the understanding that he had just walked into a tension - filled situation. Was there a way to backtrack out of this?

Apparently not, as there was someone else behind him. "I, uh, didn't mean to interrupt anything." he offered "I can come back later, no problem."

Rook
Rook look and sees that Kae seems to have left "Well...odd guy." He looks over at the people crouded in the door

"So are you all coming or going? Looks like I'm bartending tonite"

Tempest
Tempest raised an eyebrow, studying the expressions on their faces. His lips twitched slightly.

"I was wanting to know what this place was also. So I... guess I'll take a cup of coffee." he said slowly moving towards the indicated beverage. The other fellow had the door if he wanted it while he himself planned to watch whatever was going on until he found out what he wanted to know.

Rook
"I'll be damned if I know what this place is, but it has free coffee and a roof so i don't mind. Skinny boy was going to tell me about it but i guess he's shy" At that he glances at Alex, idly wondering if she drank coffee.

"Besides if i were him i woulnd't be walking around. He had a stone in his hip that looked like it hurt like hell."

Wil
Wil shifted, and decided it would be more rude to exit now that an invitation had been given. "Sure." he said, keeping his smile. "No coffee though, Im trying to cut back."

Walking forward, he carefully closed the door and looked around. "Im sorry, did any of you leave a business card in my mailbox? Only I found it and was curious."

Kaelin
Kaelin gave a rather feral smile at Alex, "Your attempts at insults are poor, as was Morpheus' judgement when he lowered himself to grapple with someone as... base as you.." He turned away from her and looked to Rook, "I appologize but I don't like coffee, I prefer tea.. this place is.. difficult to explain and understand. If you would like to discuss it, it would require that you suspend your disbelief and open your mind to possibilities that might seem rather.. impossible."

He turned away from Alex, seething inside. He wanted to turn around and tear her head from her shoulders, he wanted to bathe in her blood and mount her head on the edge of his lake in warning to anyone who would dare defy him. His face was cold, and nothing betrays his thoughts of Alex's rather bloody demise.

Alex
"You oughtta try it sometime, you might like it," Alex suggested, blowing Kaelin a kiss.

It was tempting to just go upstairs and avoid all this, but something spiteful in her made her want to stay. If he was going to be a p***k regardless, she might as well hang around...as crude as her insults were, she was betting just her presence would be something of an aggravation.

Desiderio
Whatever happened to feeling guilty?

Alex
That went out the window when he decided to be a b***h.

Desiderio
Ah.

Alex
Her hair was starting to come down from the hairsticks keeping it up, and she flipped it over her shoulder with a smirk before moving further into the room.

"A business card?" she asked then. "Hell no, I'm innocent." Not that she was anything near a picture of innocence.

Kaelin
'It would be so easy...' The voice inside of him was not Merci, she was thankfully to weak to fight her way through that much anger and hatred. 'Attacking her would feel so right, so justified. Killing her would bring you so much peace. You would never have to face your own failings again...' Kaelin looked over his shoulder at her, and the look on his face was blank, his eyes such a deep dark black that they were reminescent of a mindless predator that would like nothing better then to kill you, and would feel no remorse about it later. "I hope that your god destroys you when he comes forth, utterly, because something like you should not be allowed to taint one of the most beautiful and joyful aspects of life.." his voice was quiet, and he obviously didn't care much that she insulted him. He was trying to keep his anger from overwhelming him, he was trying to keep from becoming as crazed as his lover.

Kaelin looked down when he realized one of his hands was clenched in his lap. He slowly uncurled in fingers and looked somewhat facinated with the movement. Crecents of red imprinted on the perfect pale white of his skin and he turned his palm down and proceeded to stroke the silk of the pants over his thigh.

Tempest
Tempest watched Kaelin a moment, as he drank some of the coffee. It was hot, not quite as strong as he liked but not bad.

"Possibilities, huh? I'm really just looking for a gift for my girl. To go with the other one I already have, but you have gotten my curiosity flowing. I'm always looking for a new trick or two," he commented. "I wouldn't mind listening to what you have to say."

Kaelin
Kaelin blinked at the voice near him, he glanced up and stared at the man that was talking to him. Somehow he didn't notice him come in, a soft smile spread over his face as he eyed this newcomer too. A flash of remembering that once upon a time Lucius would have been here to greet new potential hosts made him look back down at his pant leg, "There was a mention of the jewel that rests in my hip.. These are what this.. 'shop', if you want to call it that, peddles. I will tell you a story if you will listen.." Water offered quietly.

He lifted his hand from where he was still absently stroking the silk of his pants with his fingertips. He focused on his hand and slowly, almost imperceptably he started drawing water from the air around them, forming in his hand a small amount of water, puddling it in the bottom of his hand so he could try and control the crimson ringlets that hung around his face.

Wil
Wil listened uneasily. He didn't like this at all, and understood it even less. Was this some sort of religious retreat? He shook his head, slightly bewildered. "Im really sorry." he repeated again, beginning to back away. "I fear I have inconvenienced you all greatly. Please accept my apologies."

He placed the business card on the table and turned to walk away, quite sure that he did not want to be there now, or even to return later.

Desiderio
That even made Rio bristle in the back of her mind, with an anger born of defensiveness. Alex was his host and his friend, not a taint. Never a taint.

Alex
"Don't b***h at me, babe," she said with a roll of her eyes, leaning against the counter. "I didn't know he had a boyfriend." The young woman had absolutely no problem talking about such things, even with the company.

Alex looked towards the one who'd begun to walk away, brushing her hair away. "Aww, you can stay. Don't mind him." She tipped her head in Kaelin's direction.

Wil
Will jumped a bit as the direction of a voice whipped his way, and turned back. The expression on his face was clearly uncomfortable and slightly intimidated. He was not one prone to handling heavy situations, preferring to head things off before they simmered so.

Weighing the problem of leaving with the problem of staying he hesitated. "Really, I did not come here to cause trouble, or even to walk into it. I'd rather not stay if there is going to be unpleasantness. I just came to find out who left me this card, and it's clear none of you did."

Kaelin
Kaelin stood up and looked at the gathered men in the room, he gave each one a curt nod before he turned and walked for the stairs to go up to the floor where people used to live. He still had a room, it wasn't what it once was but it was still his and he could go there to get away from her. He didn't care, nothing mattered anymore, these people would be fodder for other idiot gods who thought that being reborn was a good thing. Their time had past long ago, and it was time that Harmodius stopped this charade of bringing them back. Kaelin was through being entertainment for that b*****d anyway.

Alex
"Well, y'oughtta try coming back sometime," she suggested, honestly feeling a bit bad that they were driving him out, however unintentionally.

With Water standing to leave, Alex was faced with a dilemna...she could just let it go. But it bothered her, to be called scum and base and a taint, that he even suggested Rio should just destroy her. It was hard to take, and it was all of a moment before her bruised pride and lack of caution won out.

"So you really haven't got any balls. I thought so."

Desiderio
Alex...you are full of bad ideas.

Tempest
Tempest sighed as he finished his coffee. "It's obvious we stepped into the middle of something, and I've still got that present to look for. Thanks for the coffee and talking. I'll come back some other time to find out."

If one was headed upstairs and one was still here, then there'd be no fight to try to stop. There was too much of that now to walk away from it. He was beginning to think he shouldn't be here either.

Kaelin
Kaelin stopped at the bottom of the stairs and inside himself he knew he shouldn't do anything, Merci was trying desperately with what little sway she had left over him to get him to stop what he was about to do. He turned around slowly and he looked at her, the whites of his eyes were starting to color, getting darker as he looked at her. "Just because someone doesn't jump to get down your pants doesn't mean they don't have balls. It just means they have taste and don't like tussling with whores..."

Wil
Wil really began to back away now. "I think that would be a bad idea." he replied, honestly worried now. "A very, very bad idea."

Tempest
He winced at the last phrase from each of them. This was getting ugly now. What had he and the other guy walked in on? He should have his head examined for coming in here.

Backing up towards the door, Tempest figured it was definitely time to exit.

Alex
"I don't think you guys really have anything to worry about." Shrugging, Alex waved absently at the two uncomfortable men, a sort of quiet apology without really taking her attention off the red-haired god. It wasn't like they'd drag the bystanders into the argument...she wouldn't, anyway.

Desiderio
Alex...I don't think that eye thing is a good sign.

Alex
She pointedly ignored Rio's unease; she was not going to turn around and leave. "Have to wonder why he had to find a whore in the first place."

Tempest
Tempest stopped moving for a moment, his attention caught by her for a moment. There was the undercurrent of something else moving. He'd noticed what Kaelin had been doing with the water. Whether a practiced trick or some slight of hand that gave an illusiong there was something here.

But what to do?

The one fellow was close to the door and if worse came to worse, he'd dart out of it.

Shoving his hat back on his head at a rakish angle, he suddenly grinned wondering if he could take the tension off them all. He'd had to do it once or twice at the club. Not always successfully but... *Open mouth and insert foot, Tempest...* he smirked inwardly.

Winking at Wil, he commented. "Well, they say that hate is akin to love, so you two must really love one another."

Kaelin
Kaelin's eyes travelled over to Tempest for one moment, but right now he didn't care about the people in the store, all he cared about was hurting her. His entire conciousness had slimmed down to that one thought, she had to hurt, he had to make her hurt. He wasn't a physical fighter, though he still remembered what Merci knew, his host had been an assassin and there were some things the body remembered. Kaelin didn't utter a word, he just lifted a hand up slowly and pointed a finger at Alex. His eyes had gone completely black, more striking since his skin was so white and his hair crimson. He didn't smile, he just called to it, the darkness he had been trying to fight so hard rising inside of him and taking him over. His whole body stilled, freezing, eerily still and quiet, water condensing on his skin as he stood there, staring at her.

He was a god, he was the master of the water, the element that gave life to everything. Without water there could be nothing, and it was time he reminded people of that. He sent out a silent call, summoning his power from resources inside of himself he didn't even know he had. The human body was mostly made up of water, blood was mostly made up of water. She would learn that these things were not beyond his control. He created it, but not on the tips of his fingers as he usually did, no.. he called it from nothingness inside of her. Her veins would run clear by the time he was done, so lost in his work he didn't notice the two other men in the room and their unease.

Alex
"And you hurt the ones you love?" Alex snorted, her grin wry and not really amused. "Maybe."

Her eyes were fixed on Kaelin though, watching him, waiting for another insult...but it didn't come. All he did was stand where he was and point, as the black swallowed up his eyes. For all she knew, he was just being dramatic.

It was a few moments before it began to dawn on her that something wasn't quite right, a strange feeling within that she didn't like and couldn't place, which gave way in turn to a certain lightheadedness. Shaking her head to try and make it go away, she stepped closer, to knock his arm with her hand if she could...not because she connected it with what was happening, just because he was pointing at her.

"Didn't anyone ever teach you not to point? It's rude." Her insults weren't getting any better.

Wil
Wil had stopped his flight abruptly as the pale one had lifted his finger as if in accusation. The look in his eyes was murderous, and it frightened Wil. But at the same time it prevented him from fleeing as he had wanted. He had to make sure.... things didn't go out of control.

It never registered that this was not his concern, such thoughts never bothered him.

There was some room yet between them, even as he saw the one throwing the insults attempt to close the gap between them again.

Tempest
"I guess that depends on.. " Tempest began, his lips twitching. Then he stopped, watching both Kaelin and Alex. What was he doing? Had his eyes changed color?

Whatever it was, he aimed at her.

"I really think one of you should back off..." he said, shaking his head. He glanced at Wil, wondering what the hell they did to stop these two.

Cinderfae
"Now the lesson is over and the killin's begun..."

Cinder paused in her singing her voice was slightly slurred she blinked her eyes a little out of focus. By the Gods she knew she shouldn't have drank so much. The tall red head continued down the street she had to get to the shop, what remained of her Merci` was there and at the moment that is all she had to hold onto. It was dark out she realized that means everyone might be sleeping in her drunken state she opens the door of the Edel shop as quietly as she could, which seeing as she was wearing her heavy grav-lock boots and not really one for stealth wasn't that quiet at all. As she entered the shop light headedness from the night air and the alcohol hit her and she leans up against the door letting it close with a hard slam.

Cursing in her home tongue at the noise her legs go out in front of her and she lays against the door. The cybernetics in the space pilots ears let her know others are close, blinking a little she sees only dark shapes in the room before falling over passing out from whatever she has been through.

Mycroft
"Cin! Gods woman are you insane, I can't believe you came back here to leave me like this." A small comm unit in the pilot's pocket screeched with the voice of Mycroft her AI.

Kaelin
He didn't need to point at her, He was power. Kaelin's face turned to watch her but that was all the reaction she got out of him, he felt glorious, wonderful, ecstatic... He dropped his hand and he felt the water answering his call, he felt it begin to displace the blood, he sensed it and it made him smile in pure unadulterated joy. "Blood it seems isn't much thicker then water after all..." was all he said as he stared at her.

He didn't need anyone, he didn't need their acceptance or their... love... Love was a human emotion that didn't do anything but hold him back. He would be free of them all, he would be free of human concerns and human needs, because he wasn't human. He dropped pale, slender hands into his pockets and didn't look at all like he was touching her, but his magic worked inside of her, building pressure inside fragile veins and tissues. Part of him wanted to make her heart explode, wouldn't that be poetic, love dying from a broken heart...

Tempest
Tempest watched, scowling as he tried to figure out what was happening. There was an undercurrent of something he didn't understand moving. He felt an electricity in the air he couldn't explain. But at least two people knew. His eyes discerned that as he watched them.

The two fighting.

But without knowing the specifics or the odds, how did one even act to prevent or aid?

So Tempest continued to watch, his eyes looking for something... anything....

Alex
Alex's eyes narrowed, and she tilted her head, faintly puzzled. She didn't understand the look on his face, or what he meant by blood being thicker than water...that took a minute to work through her mind.

Desiderio
It was Rio it registered with first. Alex...Alex, I think he's doing something to your blood.

Alex
"No...no <********> way," she growled, lashing out to slap him. Insults were one thing, hitting was one thing, but he was messing with something inside her, without touching her or even saying a thing. It wasn't fair.

And with the dilution of her blood, her body cried out for more to replace it, and instinct stirred with her anger.

Desiderio
This is bad, Alex, this is bad. Listen to that man, please. Don't do this, don't let it start.

Wil
That was all Wil needed to act. Leaping forward without thinking, his arms waved somewhat frantically, but with intended frenzy to distract.

"Stop!" he said, not as a command, but rather as a plea. He had NO clue what was happening, but it was obvious there was something going on, and that someone was about to get very hurt in the process.

Kaelin
Kaelin just watched her, not even bothering to lift his hand to block her slap. Physical pain meant nothing right now, he wanted to her to appologize for what she said, he wanted her to admit he was better, he wanted to see her in pain, writhing on the floor. The impact of flesh on flesh made a loud enough sound that he heard it somewhere in the back of his mind, his head turned with the force. He stood there a moment, but his mind didn't register what happened, he just turned to face her again. "You wouldn't let it go, you begged for attention. Now that you have it you don't want it? Women are so hard to understand... If you didn't want me to react then you should have left well enough alone shouldn't you...."

His voice was smooth, and had qualities that made you think that more then one person must be speaking. His anger was cool, it burned cold, and in his eyes all you could see was rage boiling to the surface. "Do you understand now why you should have left me alone when I warned you?"

Tempest
Tempest winced when Wil moved. But what else could he do? So he moved forward too.

"Stop! Please! Isn't there enough of this going on right now?" He said trying to draw Kaelin's attention from her whom he obviously hated to one he didn't know. A weak distraction at best. "Is she really worth losing yourself for?"

Shaking his head, he said, "I don't know if I'd let another person control me like this?"

Alex
"I don't take s**t, I don't care who from." She shot her gaze towards Wil, glaring at him through slit-pupiled eyes before her attention found its way back to Kaelin. "I don't care if you're a god, I'm not scum." Maybe she was a whore, but that was her business, her choice. It didn't make her low. "I didn't have to tell you, but I told you, and you're pissed at me? I was straight with you, I let you know you have a cheating p***k for a boyfriend, and it's me you call names? Would you rather not know?"

"I...

Desiderio
...understand." Her voice changed, and the anger was dropped, replaced by a softer, clearer tone...but there was a strain and a struggle underneath, a quiet battle with his host and her growing instinct. Rio's balance wavered in his host's body, but there was nothing close enough to steady himself with. All he could do was try and plant his feet more firmly and hope he didn't fall on his a**. "Even if she doesn't take the time to think before she acts in the first way that occurs to her."

Kaelin
Kaelin tilted his head for a moment and pulled back, stopping his assault inside of her body. Obviously this was the creature she was hosting for, the god of love it seemed. He had issues with the b*****d anyway, anyone who could be lord over an emotion as screwed up as love he wasn't entirely sure he wanted to have anything to do with them. Respect however, dictated that he not continue attacking another god, at least not until they explained themselves. "You realize I don't particularly care what her motivations are."

The mortals that attempted to break them up drew his attention for just a moment, long enough for him to speak to them. "Calm down, you are going to do no one any good with this kind of behavior. You wished to know what this place is, so I will tell you. This is a place were gods are reborn into mortal shells, tainted by their sickly emotions and forced to bow and scrape to Harmodius. I hope you are prepared, if you were brought here to this door you are likely doomed to become the home of one of us..."

He turned his head back to Rio and smiled softly, "I warned her to stay away from me, and I gave her ample opportunity to let things drop when I tried to walk away. She was the one who chose to engage me so she deserves the consequences."

Mycroft
"Wake up you silly wench!" The AI continued to grumble at Cin his british accent tinged with anger and frustration. Her ship was gone, now his ship was gone and now he was stuck here in the place with the parasites, damn that assassin that left her and made them end up here. It was hard to make an AI angry since they tended to be logical but for the moment this one was chosing to ignore that function.

Wil
Wil blinked, the words inane babblings into his ears. He was less concerned with the madness the other spoke, and more with the madness he seemed intent on pursuing.

"Look." he replied. "I don't know what's going on, and I can tell that you've been provoked..." best to not drag it out too much "but harming another isn't the way to show you're right. Insults can't physically wound...and she seems to have stopped, so there's no reason to continue, right?"

He didn't move from where he stood, arms at his side, but expression strained and wary.

Tempest
"Gods, huh?" Tempest said, raising an eyebrow in some skepticism still though it was laced with curiosity. "So that's how you did that earlier..." he mused for a moment. Real magic? It wasn't something he could discount.

But the question was, did he want to search it out?

Desiderio
"I realize that," he answered, "And I regret that I did not quiet her that night, but I once promised I would not take her without asking. But I think perhaps she'll forgive me this once."

"Alex is no taint, however, for all her fire and impulsiveness. It's not barbs or wiles or appearances that endear her to Eamnonn. She's a good enough girl still, I know. I've seen it."

Rio crossed his arms under his host's chest, relaxing somewhat. He could feel that Kaelin had stopped whatever he had been doing, and he trusted he was safe for now. "Yes, we are gods here, or becoming so again."

Kaelin
Kaelin tsked, "She deserves what she got.." Kaelin's voice was a half snarl, obviously he was still angry. "I will issue you the same warning I gave to her, stay away from me, or I will see to it next time that I fill you enough to split her skin open and burst her veins from the inside out and you will have no host to grow into." He folded his arms, "I was fair, I warned her to stay away from me, my behavior and my words I give no excuse but utter and complete loathing of her and everything she stands for. Calling after me when I was leaving the situation warrented my reaction, if she doesn't like what I have to say then she should leave. I am tired of caring what others think of me." Kaelin's eyes were still black, and it was obvious that the hatred burned inside of him, that he would like nothing better then to utterly destroy Alex and everything about her.

The fact Eamnonn liked her only made him rethink his friendship with the god of the Hunt. She had mentioned it before but it had slipped his mind in the moment of shock that accompanied her statement. Eamnonn could go rot in 'hell' along with the rest of these so called gods. "As for her friendship with Eamnonn that does not redeem her in my eyes. You can call her a good girl, but what good girl spreads her legs for a man she barely knows? I am afraid there is very little you will be able to say that will get me to think differently of her. I only hope you have the sense to destroy her when you have the chance, you will only be tainted by her, like so many others have been tainted by their hosts."

Wil
Perhaps being ignored was not so bad. Afterall, this crazy talk coming out of the one mouth indicated a less than stable mind. But at least it WAS talk, which meant it wasn't assault anymore. Surely that was a good sign?

Right?

Tempest
He wondered briefly about the things that had been said of gods and such. Something was going on in the world and perhaps it was this very thing. Perhaps not.

Either way he thought it was time to leave. They had calmed down and were obviously working something out. The rest was up to them.

"I'll be back another time, I think." he said softly from the side. "There's something here I want to figure out, but it'll wait for another day."
