Leroy felt the wave push them and chuckled as he hear her whoo! She didn't seem to get tired or used to it. He liked that about her.
"Really? That sounds cool. Lead the way." He was ready to try anything. He didn't think about what there was, she did say there were a ton of choices.

Rolling to her feet rather like a wave herself Gwen did just that. She loosely kept her hand with his -like it was lounging there the way she would lay on a beach soaking up the sun. It felt nice ... and it took more effort to think to let go than to hold on.
She chattered randomly about the surf on this part of the beach, saying how they had hit the perfect time for a beginner because of the more lapping waves instead of the 'tubular' ones she had surfed that morning. Also how she loved the spot because she usually had it for herself instead of having to share it with other surfers. When they had walked a ways down the beach so that they could just see the start of their footprints trailing over the horison of sand but before they coudl see their destination the beach femme stopped: speaking, walking & otherwise moving. Her face took on an expression of bafflement her eyes filling with confusion and growing thoughtful somewhat at the same time. Tilting her head she looked at the male beside her, confusion melting away as some decision seemed to have been made inside her.
"Gwen." She offered off handedly, the curve of a smile just barely touching her lips.

Leroy liked the feel of her hand in his. He let her pull him along as he didn't know where they were going, and well, he liked letting someone else lead. He was used to just being alone. It was nice to share time with someone else.
Leroy nodded as he listened to everything she had to say. She was very interesting and had neat information he was not aware of. "Leroy." He said. He couldn't believe they had never exchanged names! He felt so comfortable, he guessed he just didn't need it. But, now that he had it, it was nice. "Gwen is a pretty, fitting name."

Why she had bothered to learn his name or why she felt so good when he said her name was pretty & fitting Gwen would never know. Nor understand why her cheeks warmed with pleasure as she smiled at him.
"Like, ...thanks." He voice was soft, surprized, & pleased. "Leroy... like totaly fits you too. I, like, like it. Totaly you." Gwen usually did not bother with names. To do so now...
"C'mon. We're like so nearly there." Her stomach murred and she laughed, casually starting down the beach again. "Like, oh mah gawd! You like totaly have to tell me about that thing you were, like, saying I should try."

Leroy smiled happy to think she liked his name as well. "The song has that name in it." It was a bit of a weird explanation, but the truth. He was named after his song.
"Weight lifting? Sure, I don't know how much you'll like it, but it a great way to work out." It had no water involved and it didn't have much relaxation time, but it kind of evened out with her swimming. A great combination/

"Like, I totally wanna hear your song sometime then." And she did. Gwen blinked then smiled languidly. "My name's like, kinda like that of one of the singers of mine, but like oh mah gawd that's like all in common like I have with her, ya know? Anyway, Weight lifting? Yeah. That's like, totally what you were talking about before like totally, right? But like, sure. I'll try it."
She started leading them inland. Not much. Just enough to angle them to a small building safely away from the beach. It looked like it had once been a plain, square, brown building with a mostly flat roof. Someone had painted all the way around the smooth walls with images of beaches and animals and jungles in a very "save the earth/love nature" kind of way. Music by the Eagles, Doors, & Jimmy Buffet drifted from its open front and Gwen grinned. "Like, totally sweet! Dren's like sooo there today!"

((Awesome music in here! biggrin ))
Leroy listened to her and smiled and nodded. Sometimes the girl could talk, but it didn't bother him. He liked how she talked, made it so he didn't have to talk as much, which really appealed to him.
Leroy followed her to the little place, it looked pretty neat. "This place looks cool." He said as he stayed at her side, eager to eat, but also eager to let her guide him in the right direction.

((*grins* glad you like! ^_^))
Giving the hand in hers a gentle squeeze she smiled at Leroy with a pleased expression as they closed the distance between them and the restaurant. if it could be called that. There were a few circular tables with curved benches that looked like they had been formed from recycled plastics underneath the overhang of the building -one of the kinds that could be lowered to close off the counter completely. The counter was sparkling where the light struck it like glass in whites, greens, and a few rare blues. It was glass: reused glass bottles sealed in a clear covering until together they were smooth. The napkin dispenser held brown recycled napkins and the trashbins were labled for food, paper, plastics, glass, and aluminum. Not small signs either. Large, bold ones so there would be no excuse about missing them.
There was a menu board behind the counter just listing off orderable items: soy and tofu burgers, spinich salads, avocado ruebens, vegetable lasagna, baked potato wedges & chips, muffins, fruits, and all maner of things. The one picture of a tasty looking soy burger beside a salad of dark greens topped with mandarin oranges announced proudly that no animals or animal products were used in the food or the cooking of it.
A man with a dark complexion and freckles across the bridge of his nose leaned casually against the counter looking fairly bored but singing softly along to the music coming over the speakers. His long charcoal black dreds were mostly tied off at the nape of his neck and he wore a loose tank top, baggy tan pants and a pair of sandles. Spotting the two arriving his dark eyes brightened and Dren waved a hand to invite them in. Gwen raised her free hand to wave back. Then he recognized Gwen and suddenly he was annimated. "Dude!! Long time no see, girl!"
Striding towards her Dren hugged her in a very familiar way. "Dren! Like it's like totally sweet to see you again!" She hugged back with her whole body -save one arm. Dark eyes blinked. "Whoah. Dude. What's with the hands?"
Green eyes blinked at the man blankly. The feeling had grown so natural Gwen was not thinking about how she still held Leroy's hand despite the thrill it gave her. She just did not think about it. She followed her friend's jabbing finger and her eyes widened just before she smiled brightly. "Didn't like, want Leroy to, like, get lost, like, ya know?" Still she kept her fingers relaxed with his hand though such reason was no longer valid since they had arrived.
"Leroy, Dren. Dren, Leroy." Gwen contnued practically without breath, not noticing Dren's surprise that she knew a name. He was smart enought to know that the only reason she knew his name was because he fed her. "Like oh mah gawd! When did you, like, add dried cranberries to salad toppings? Totally rad!"
He put on a working grin. "Over the winter. Lords we've missed ya, girl."

Leroy looked all around the small eatery. It had many things and the smell made his stomach growl again. He read some of the signs and realized there was no meat.
He couldn't think aobut it too much before he was meeting Dren. "Nice to meet you." He said after the very quick exchange of names. He looked down at the hands and smiled, the smile went away quick enough as he nodded to say she was telling the truth.
Leroy watched her talk and watch the other guy too. She must have come here alot before. Maybe she should order since he wasn't sure what to get.

Dark eyes watched the male audio's smile as Leroy looked at their hands with worry that only barely touched into a frown for a brief second. Dren hoped for the guy's sake he was not falling for the girl. He looked like a good fellow -and Gwen had never shown fidelity. But then in all the time he had known her she had never held hands like that, or bothered to get a name, or done anything resembling a date. Yet here she was... and Dren was confused. "Yeah. Likewise, Leroy!"
"So... like what can I get for you folks today? Everything's fresh of course."
Gwen was looking over the menu though she had it memorized. "Like I'll totally have the spinnich cakes with, like, honey and a salad with cranberries & raspberry vinagarrete dressing. Oh! And like totally with a large cranberry juice and water. We've been like, swimming, ya know?"
She looked to Leroy with a smile as Dren nodded that he had her order down. "Like what would you like, Leroy? Anything like totally striking your fancy?"

Leroy looked around and wasn't sure, "Um...what has protein and umm...carbs?" He needed energy, it was always sapped after he worked out and he did two workouts today.
He listed to her order it sounded good, but he just wasn't sure. "Maybe you make something and I'll just try it? I'm into new things today." He luahged abit and looked at Gwen. She was the audio to push him into new things.

aw man... is the poor guy falling for her? Dren was not sure if he felt more sorry for this audio -who really seemed a decent sort- or for himself and other cohorts of Gwen's if this Leroy managed to make an honest girl out of her. Still he had a job to do & grinned cheekily. Protein, huh? Bet he's a meat eater. Might come as a shock to my favorite sleeping partner if she's in it for the long run. Never told her the reason I'm vegan is medical, not like she'd pay attention anyway. Of course it's not a big if only sharing pleasures... guy doesn't seem to be that type. "Got it Dude. Proteins and carbs." Dren's grin widened as he nodded. "I'll get on it. Just shout at me if you're allergic to anything."
With another loook between the two audios he shook his head and hopped over the counter, starting to sing along to 'Hotel California' as it came on the speakers. Smiling in her lazy & sensual way the beach female casually led Leroy to one of the tables. "Like, New things, huh?"
Her free hand moved to rest on the buff audio's far thigh as she leaned over him and lightly started massaging. "Like I can totally give you an excellent massage so like that sweet bod of yours doesn't like cramp up or like something. Maybe like after lunch or like sometime before ya teach me this like, weight lifting."
In the small kitchen Dren nearly dropped what he was working on, overhearing that. Weight lifting? Gwen? The hell?!? Dark eyes snapped to the pair before he got a hold of himself and returned to his work. No. He had not heard wrong. Weight lifting. Not work out. Work out could have been interpretted for Gwen as a way to describe sex, but not weight lifting. Dren shook his head as he put the two's meals together. The hell...

"Nope, I don't think so." He hadn't had a reaction before, so he didn't think he was. Would be rather interesting if he turned out to be.
"Well, today I do." He chuckled and smiled at her. She was opening his eyes to tons of new things and he really did enjoy everything he tried so far.
Leroy blushed as she started the massage, then just relaxed. "Wow, yeah I think I would enjoy that." He leaned back into the touch of her hands. If he could purr he would, it felt wonderful. Leroy closed his eyes and murmured a little sound to show he liked it.

"Well today I do" His words echoed within her head making her smile though Gwen hardly thought why. His body felt so good beneath her fingers Gwen easily forgot where they were, enjoying how his muscles relaxed as she continued the light massage. Until her belly gave a soft rumble and brought what counted as her mind back to the small restaurant. She gave Leroy an apologetic smile. "Like, I'll totally like that too. Would like do it now but like I totally don't want you to melt into like your lunch, ya know? Would like be a total bummer."
Lunch would be soon, she knew. If it was not for her tummy's continual reminders the beach babe would have been tempted to skip it. Not something she usually did.

Leroy murmured a bit more, as the massage was the best feeling he had ever felt. He muscles were normal tight, but this made him feel really good. "Aww, ok." He said with a chuckle as she stopped the massage.
Leroy opened his eyes, "Maybe after you massage me, I can massage you?" He really wanted to return the favor.
