She followed his drinks, taking the drink down in one slug. She then took a deep breathe and a hiss, her shoulders visibly relaxing. "Thanks...Good bourbon by the way." She smiled gratefully.
"I owe the spawn of an elemental god who is a goody goody. And I owe her my life."

"Well, that's diferent." He grined a bit more, "Usualy when people mention James Black they owe HIM the favour. Usualy easily paid back by saving Seyumi somehow."
"Still, it begs the question of what you plan to do to repay that favour."
He made a head motion towards the minibar.
"I left the bottle out."

Sam laughed then, a bit hysterically. "Gods no, I can't even imagine what I'd have to do, owing James Black a favor." She almost fell backwards, so hard was she laughing. Wiping tears of mirth from her eyes, she looked back at Joseph before pouring herself another shot.
"I'm going to ship some equipment from her R&D center to people who would use it in a 'humane' way, versus, some of the less scrupilous manner. But I need to make it so that the people that need to be avoided are so."

The case sprung open revealing a mish mash of business cards. Joseph had to finger through them for a second before he found the one he wanted.
"I'm just the guy at the top, I'm no good at planning capers," Soon he was holding out a card to her, "This is everything you need to get in contact with Charlie White, my go to guy for feild operations. He'll be able to get whatever you need wherever else you need it, and I'll supply him with the stuff he needs to get it done.
He picked up his glass, swriled it slightly and held it up as if he was going to toast someone.
"Only then will I be able to send you an accurate bill. You may want to give Charlie a dollar number though, he likes his toys. Especialy cars."
And with that he drank.

And Sam fell back laughing. "Char?" She coughed and tried again "Charles White?!" She looked incredious. "The man I've already hired to be my bodyguard?" Sam sounded almost tipsy as she giggled, blushing from the tips of her toes to the root of her hair. She leaned towards him, plucking the card from his hand.
"Oh this is amusing..."

"Well, guess he's doing other work." Joseph gave shrug and a self mocking smile, "Either he's looking to bring in more company business, or it's about time I look at upgrading his benifits package."
"Still, you should be able to get even more use out of him now that I'm backing it as well."
He flipped another card out of the case and held it out.
"And this is my real business card. Not one of the ones that will send you through red tape hell just to leave a message."

As Joseph said the words,' Get more use out of him', Sam blushed a furiously bright shade of red. She looked as if she would pass out. She actually had to thump her chest for a second to swallow. She actually took a step back, to rest her hand on the couch.
"I uh..." She then used the excuse of the business card to reply. "Thank you." stepping forward again to take the business card.

At this awkward moment of confusion, Sam's phone chirped with whatever ringtone she had given to ID when the Chauffeur called. If she picked up, the first thing she would hear is, "And just where the hell did you decide to scamper off without letting me know?"

"You're new at this charming the pants off people thing aren't you?"
Ok, he purposely chose that particular phrase, just to see how she would react.
"Still, you don't always need that particular brand of charm to do good business." With that he got up shoved his hands in his pockets and began to saunter somewhere. Passed the minibar, that couldn't be it. Instead he went for the elevator and mashed the button.
"Perhaps we could finish this business somehwere more comfotable. Like shooting things."
Ding.

She blushed a more violent shade of red, if that was possible. "I don't understand." And she didn't and if Joseph was any good at reading people, he would see that she was truly innocent in that regard, it was just part of who she was. She heard the phone ring and literally groaned. She was tempted....just for a moment to ignore it but she would never hear the end of it.
"Yes, Char?"
A pause.
"I'm ...errmm...conducting business. I didn't want to wake you for something this...err...mundane?" Business was business, and personal was personal. And she so couldn't lie well when it was personal. "I need to go Char, you can have the next few days off. I'm needed to help out a friend, alright? Bye." Hanging up before he could say anything else. Hopefully, he wouldn't call back.
"Shooting things?" An eyebrow quirked, but it was accompanined by a smile of relief. "That sounds wonderfully fun."

After a few moments her phone rang again. If she didn't pick up, he would text the same message he was going to say:
"If you're going to be conducting business with my other boss, I don't know how much I'm comfortable with you calling me 'Char'. Doesn't take long for me to trace a call. I know you're in good hands."

There would be no response, for the simple reason that she never checked her text messages. She hated the things, and if they hadn't come on default, she wouldn't have the service. So she remained blissfully ignorant of his message, because she didn't answer either.

"I thought so too." He smilled as the elevator doors opened.
The CEO would then half saunter, half limp into the elevator only to press a button. Of course he then moved the arm from said button to the edge of the doors. To hold it open, the old fastioned way and all.
"Step inside, we'll blow off some steam soon enough."

She walked towards him, her hips swaying with the ease of a person at comfort with her own body. There was a husky laugh as she walked past Joseph. "At least it will be better then the reason I wore this godawfully short dress. It shows off the tops of my stockings too well." Sam shrugged and walked into wherever it was, glancing over her shoulder, checking him out once more, before smiling in approval.
"Game on."

"It's a nice dress. Let me assure you a very nice dress." The doors opened to reveal one of the buildings test ranges, "But I get where you're comming from. I wouldn't wear it either."
Cue saunter out.
And he went to work right away. Swiping a keycard through a reader, causing the bland room to transform into a active firing range. Hell, with his clearance a literal wall of guns were avaliable to choose from.
"Ladies first. Then we can talk about those elemental gods."
