"If you want me to take the boar for a while I can." She didn't know if he thought of her as a weakling but she knew that she had more strength in her then he did at the time. If all else failed she could hold it on better with her wings and keep it more balanced on her back. Even if they weren't big enough for actual flight she glided on them as much as she could, mostly when running. The night was completely dark by now and they had been walking for a few miles before he started to show any restraint against the boar. Impressed with how long he had been going without any energy to count for she vowed a silent respect for him.

Thona had his pride, he was going to walk into that pack area with this boar on his back even if it killed him. "No, it's fine. It's my kill, it's my responsiblity." He said honestly. He didn't even think about if she was weak or not. He was so determend to make this hunt perfect.
"I've got enough energy to get back to the pack. Unless we get attacked." He said hushly. He looked about with moving just his eyes. Everywhere seemed quiet, except for the slight brush moving from mice and other small creatures. Even a few owls in the distance. He sniffed at the air quietly, but didn't smell anything that wasn't suppose to be there. No Ulaya close buy, or from what he could tell.

"Understandable." She said back and continued to walk with him. She didn't mind him wanting to carry it himself for she really didn't want to carry it to begin with. It was just passing through her mind that Yin wanted him to learn team work, for it's an important concept when working in a pack. Figuring her watching the boar and catching it when it slid was rather good teamwork she didn't fight him much.
It had been another couple of hours before her feet started to hurt once again and her head began to droop with her walk. She had been up for at least two days now and it was starting to get to her. Akumu looked up to Thona and watched him struggling along with the heavy boar still on his back. Deciding that if he could continue padding along then she couldn't complain much, he had it worse at the moment anyway.

He watched out of the corner of his eye as she started to droop her head. He slowed a bit. "need a rest?" He asked. He wasn't sure how close they were, they'd been walking forever in silence. It seemed too long. Perhaps they were going the wrong way? Nah, he was sure that she knew exactly where she was going.
He wanted to rest, yet he didn't. He wanted to get this over with, and was pretty sure she did too. It was as upleasent to her as it was to him. He knew slightly why the God had sent her with him. Team work, though, it wasn't his best quality. He knew it was part of a pack. He didn't know how many hunters were in the group. Though, it didn't seem like many if the God sent her with him instead of a hunter.
Or was there more to this little twisted story? Why did he pick her instead of the other's sitting around? It confused him a bit, but he didn't know any of them. He was sure that the Yin knew her well. It was bugging him, though he had no right in asking. He continued to walk slow waiting for her answer.

"A little rest maybe, my feet are sore." She slowed down to a halt and sat on the ground to give her feet a rest. Looking at her surroundings she searched for a good place to hide to boar while the rested and eyed a tree. The branches were close enough to climb with such excess weight and would get them higher. "If you wouldn't mind, I can lift the boar up that tree." She nudged her head upwards in the direction where she was looking. Sure he could get it up there but with her wings she could balance herself more and possibly get more momentum to get it up. She saw another hunter of a pack before she was in use this tactic. It brought the kill away from most hungry eyes, such as hyenas and other scavanger creatures that may be lurking on the forest floor.

Thona stopped. His muscles screamed in relief. The boar slowly slid off the side of him onto the ground. If it were daylight, they would have seen a dust cloud from it. He shook his body. Blood was stained all over Thona's orange spotted coat. It would take a few days cleaning to get it out. Though, he didn't actually care much.
"Sounds good." He said. He was too tired to actually try to pull the boar up the tree. It had taken most, if not all his energy. He was pretty much a walking zombie at the moment. Nothing, a little sitting and relaxing couldn't help. He looked at the tree next to them. It had a few branches that were big enough to hold their weight. In all, it was a nice tree to take a rest in.
He wasn't sure if he could jump in it though. His legs were sore and just wanted to give way. He stood there strong, though. Keeping his pride. How would it seem if he wasn't fit to fight if danger so happened to come? He had to look as if he could take down anyone. It intimidated others, and that's all he needed to do right now.
"Shouldn't take too long of a rest, I'm sure there are so low life creatures following us for some scraps" He said looking about carefully.

Akumu grabbed hold of the boar by the back of it's neck and dragged it to the tree. Getting a firm grip on it she dug her claws into the tree and began to tug it up. She scraped up to the first branch and muscled all of her strength to lift the boar on it and made sure it wouldn't slip. Letting it go she flapped her wings and pulled herself up to the branch with the gust of wind and effort pushing her up. Looking down below she figured at good ten feet was enough to keep the scavengers away. Looking up she leaped to a higher branch and laid down on it, letting her legs swing down with the gravity. Letting out a relaxed sigh Akumu closed her eyes and rested for a little while. Before she knew it she had dozed off into a light slumber.

Thona didn't want to atempt to jump in the tree. His muscles continued to shout in pain as he laid next to the bottom of the tree. He watched the area with wided eyes. He didn't think closing his eyes would be good. Sleeping was the last thing on his mind right now.
His muscles ached even more as he just sat there doing nothing. It was rather annoying, though completely all his fault. His muscles were to grow more after this. If he kept doing this, he was sure to be very strong. Another reason to join a pack and be a hunter. The end of his tail twitched up and down slightly.

Shifting slightly on the branch, Akumu moved about trying to find another comfortable position. She didn't want to sleep long but she was also so cozy in the tree that she didn't want to get down and continue the walk. Twitching her ear every now and again she was starting to get rather irritated with the mosquitoes and wanted them all disappear at once. Figuring it was pointless to try and sleep a little now she opened her eyes and started to watch Thona in silence. If she couldn't sleep the least she could do was entertain herself while her feet rested.

Thona hadn't realized she was still awake. He shifted, and made a rather funny face as he did so. He was sure that no one was watching him that he could show just a tiny bit of pain in his face. Though, As quickly as he showed it, if vanished. His face was back to normal and he continued to look about.
He was as silent as ever. Normally that didn't bother him, but this was one of those uncomfortable silences. His tail was now at his side and not moving at all. One of his ears was up, while the other one hung back lazily.

((He sounds so cute I just wanna glomp him! XD))
Akumu stretched, spreading her paws open with the comfort of pulling the muscles some. "Did you want to go now or rest some more?" She saw that he was sore still and she didn't want him to push it too far but she too didn't like the calm of the forest. Usually she would rest the nights away in the open field with the rest of the pack, with all eyes watching as much as they were open. Curling up one of her paws under her chin she looked around the area to see if she could see anything. The height advantage was a bonus but the night was so dark that it didn't help her much anyway.

(( and Right now he wouldn't be able to do anything either. LOL)) He almost jumped at the sound of her voice. He looked up at her. "It's up to you. Would you like to get this over with, or just wait here for a few?" he asked back. Of course, now he was dreding getting up again. Though, once this was over with he could sleep. Maybe not that well from the pain, but it was sleep never the less.

"Well, we should probably rest then." She placed her chin back down on her paw. "It would look better for you to Yin if you came back not so beat up. He's send you out more often or something." She closed her eyes and thought about sleeping again but didn't have so much luck. The silent forest was somewhat eerie but not enough to keep her up all night. She knew that the slumber would sneak up on her again if she let it and didn't want to miss it's visit again.

He gave a mental laugh to himself. Hopefully not too often. He thought. It wouldn't be a lot of fun working all the time. All work and no play made everyone dull, after all. He continued to look about, but not as often. Keeping one eye closed at a time.
It seemed like forever, yet he knew it was only been a few minutes. He wished he said they should continue on, but instead he just sat there quietly. Finally both eyes went shut, though his ears were listening even better then before. Every few minutes he'd open his eyes to keep himself from falling asleep.

A while passed when Akumu woke up, she noticed Thona's eyes closed and wondered if he was really sleeping. She felt bad for keeping him from going back to the valley but didn't mind so much for she knew he was exhausted. Giving a morning stretch she stumbled up to her feet and leaped out of the tree to the ground. She sat at the bottom of the tree for a little bit as she began to prune her fur, hoping it would wake her up some more. There hadn't been any encounters during the night's rest so she assumed the foreign god had retreated out of the pack's land, though it was never good to assume.
Looking over to Thona, Akumu climbed back up the tree and dropped the boar off the branch to the ground before joining down next to it. She waited for him to make a move or say something before pulling it closer to him. If Thona was really sleep she didn't want to abruptly waken him, she wanted him to rest as much as he could.
