it says in the anime show that kirra is a girl and sango always says she or her when reffering to kirria so i am uncertain about manga considering the way they gender stuff in translations is sometimes harry

The name Kirara is a rarely-used feminine personal name. It is interesting to note that the pronunciation "kirara" is similar to the Japanese sound effect "kirakira" used for something glittery, which is fitting to the appearance of mica.
So Kirara is most likely a girl in the series since it is a feminine name and not a male one.

I always thought they called the big one Kirara and the small one Kilala, at least that seems to be the case, and Kirara is female.
