Zydeco gulped as they walked through the sickly trees cowering and creaking over their path. She smiled dimly at Avelena, this was just a tad scary, but as a journalist she must prevail...and not run away in fright. She took a deep breath as they neared the clearing. The portal was so small, somehow she assumed it was going to be a huge towering cave. Yet again she always assumed that something is more then it really is.
She took another deep breath and held it. Here goes. She stepped into the portal and felt her eyes wince in pain as night became day.
(*growls at Gaia*)

Koniryu just nodded, looking around, feeling the pulse of life all around him. He was much more tuned in to Sabilasi than to Gaia, and he realized suddenly that he missed this feeling. "It is safe. Here, at least."

As she felt herself shifted to another plane, she shielded her eyes against the sudden light of day. She shivered at the lightness in her stomach. "Here we are, Sabilasi.."
The group stood at the top of a small hill, surrounded by a circle of what looked like normal birch trees. Behind them stretched an endless plainsland, while in front of them stood the edge of an immense forest. Even though they were standing on a hill, the trees before them towered hundreds of feet above their heads, the tops of them lost in the mist of morning. The sounds of ambient life seemed loud compared to the utter silence of that haunted clearing.
"Home.." Imriel's voice was tiny as she gazed up at the trees.

Hearing IMriel call this place home made Kujaku look around again. This DID feel familiar, and he grinned widely as he clung to Koniryu's hand. "I remember this place, I think.." he said, at least remembering WHAT it was now, if not the exact memories.

"As well you should," Koniryu murmured, hoping the memories stirring in the Ieldi's heads were pleasant ones... not of the end. He took another deep breath, reveling in the feeling of Sabilasi's life thrumming around him. His eyes seemed to glow more intensely than usual.

Zydeco was speechless, it was so completely beautiful. How hard it must have been to move from here to Gaia. It feels so much different here, strange and foreign but at the same time inviting and warm. All she could manage to do was scribble some more things on her note pad. If only she brought a camera, but she would mentally beat herself up about that later. "Woah..." She squeaked out shrilly, mouth a gap. "I wonder what birds are singing?"

Her eyes drawn to the point where the great trees vanish into the mist, Nai just stands there for a moment in awe. A low whistle escapes her. "Well... Doesn't that make you feel small and insignificant..."

Avelena's eyes adjusted slowly to the sudden burst of light and emmense surroundings. She's grown very used to the strange and unexpected, but this was just beautiful and mouth feel agape as she turned in a circle, taking in the surroundings, the grip on Oliver loosening as she took in the perculiar enviroment.
Oliver's large eyes glittered in the light for but a second before he buried his face in his owner's arms to sheild them from the intrusion of light. Once things had settled and he had made proper adjustments he blinked slowly as he too took in the emmense beauty and vast forest before them.

Oh, so there was some teleporting and then.. ow, blinding light. chiri hissed, having not prepared herself for the sudden appearance of sunlight, her hand shot to her eyes in attempts to get the spots out, "ow..." Her other arm shifted around the scared Kyunru and then lifted her head.
Taking long and large blinks, the spots soon began to vanish leaving only the image of a pretty damn big forest in chiri's view, "wow... that's...." She stopped, knowing stupid remarks probably weren't going to be appreciated at this moment, but... it was a big forest after all. Her red gaze seemed to widen as she just stared at the vastness all around her.
Orihime, having experienced yet another uncomfortable transportation thing pouted fro discomfort. Her head rested against chiri's chest as one of her eyes opened to see where they had gone, to then have her head totally tiwst around to take a better look. Her eyes blinked, staring as chiri was ... where were they?

Alex had about the same reaction as the others. The sight was incredible. There was nothing like this back home. Her eyes scanned the view slowly, taking it in in pieces so to preserve the memory. "Wow," the gasp escaped her lips belatedly.
"I can't wait to explore!" She nearly jumped at the thought.

Avelena approached Zy slowly and tapped her shoulder absently, her arms still slightly around Oliver, who was oddly docile for one.
"It's...it's...something, ain't it?"

Zydeco nearly shot up a tree at the minor tap from Avelena. It completely surprised her that the others were still nearby. She relaxed slightly but kept her eyes on the high canopy and let her ears get filled with the wonderful musical notes of birds.
"yeah....it...is...." She trailed off.

Despite the tiny voice in the back of her mind advising her otherwise, Avelena decided to allow Oliver a little freedom in what was actually his own home really. She knelt and placed him down between her feet. Once upon the ground he rolled around happily in the grass, tail wagging excitedly.

(sorry about all the delays @.@ Seems like everything is going wrong.. *slaps Gaia for logging her out and trashing her post*)
"Ok Imri, where is this shrine?" Karasu knelt down to be eye level with the little ieldi. "You said it was near the portal. Did the book tell you this?"
"Yes.." Imriel flopped onto the soft grass and opened her precious book. "Mmm.." She flipped a few pages and stopped on one in particular. On the left page was an image of a woman and a man.. or.. was that another woman? On the other was a map. "Here.." Imriel put her finger on the map. "This place."
Karasu looked at the map and scrunched her nose. "But that looks like.. this hill, and the circle of trees there. With the forest and plains around us. Well that can't be right, love. We're standing right at the place that map indicates, but there's nothing here but a hill and some trees..."

Sliding his hand out of Koniryu's, Kujaku moved to peer over Imriel's shoulder at the book. "Maybe there's a secret entrance or something... like the books Youko's always reading. Or MAGIC!" The boy's eyes lit up. "Maybe it takes MAGIC to open it, like magic words or something..."
