i didn't like mey exes music..and now we're broken up.. lol jk, i mean, we are..but it's not cuz of the music razz
but it did cause a bit of an issue..for me at least... but i'm rather picky about the music i listen to anyway

Rellik San Isel Chaos A.D. actualyl liza you can prov a band is better, but without hard facts you can't, opinions will just make people change their minds though. i can prove luca turilli and dushan petrossi is better than kirk hammet, and dimebag, but that won't change peoples minds about metallica and pantera(who is good)
It does take physical prowess to bang on the drums constantly, I realize from trying, but it takes even more to play quickly and keep varying rhythms, changing time signatures in mid-song, etc.
I appreciate the so-called "math-metal" song structure for just that. I'll admit I have almost no concept of time signature whatsoever, but most of the things I play are either in 6/8 or 4/4.I'll settle this right now... Mad Capsule Markets piss on both band's, in terms of talent, originality and sheer technical skill. No both bands piss on them.

I think that music is really important because its pretty big to me so if they dont like it then thats a huge hole in the relationship.

Not really, I'm a huge music fan as is XXX Zombie Porn, and a lot of each others music, we don't like. But we get on fine, say if we we're going to a gig at the academy, we'd go together, go to our own gigs and then meet up afterwards, all it takes is a little tolerance and some understanding.

If you let something as simple as bands get in the way of a relationship, then you got a lot to learn. My girl friend listens to HIM for one, I can't stand that band, but she hates Dimmu Borgir. The thought of that being a "Huge Hole" never crossed my mind.

my last gf i used to get pissed at. she would like indie music like death cab and i listen to post-hardcore music. god it drove me crazy cause anytime we got in my car and my music was blaring she'd be like "what the bloody hell is this stuff, turn it off!". thank god thats over with. i love my music too much. mwahahaha ninja
