A great feeling of relief washed over him when she said it wasn't really hers, but he huffs at her in annoyance, "Well how the heck am I supposed to know what a Fae egg looks like, I have never seen a Fae egg before!" he said in a bit of confrontational manner.

Hermione gives him a LOOk. "Well if you'd READ on occassion... Or just looked at it more! I mean... do I have fluttery little wings like the egg does?" She glances at her back which shows only her robes.

"I don't think Fae Kitsu's are going to be in 'Hogwarts A History' or any book for that manner!! I have never seen one and I had never heard of one and for all I know the father could have wings!" he said a bit loudly, a blush going across his face.

Ginny made a face, back still turned, orange banded pink tails flicking across the floor. She was sooooo tempted to pipe up and make a comment, but dispite everything there was really no need or reason to make Ron look anymore like a git than he was already doing. And of course the first thing to mind would likely do just that.
She really did not wnt to throw any monkey wrenches into Ron & Hermione's relationship.
But if Ron insisted on being a git she would have to bring up the two fae eggs at her home.

Hermione sputtered in disbelief. "I can't believe you! After everything, do you think I'd go off with some random male and mate? I think not!" She turned her back, hurt. "And who said ANYTHING about 'Hogwarts, A History'??? There's lots of books around here, and I'm QUITE positive several of them are on the species of kitsusagi as we have become!"

Ron turned his back as well, "Well Moochi doesn't have any books on Kitsusagi's and even if she did, I wouldn't have to read them to know about them, there are plenty of different ones at home!" he countered back.

"Well clearly you WOULD, cause you're missing knowledge on at LEAST one species. I don't think there ARE any adult Fa'e, all I know of are EGGS. I don't know how they came about but it's NOT mine, it's one of my human's and it's SPECIAL." She stormed over to Ginny, upset.

Ginny scowled turne to scowl at her brother over her friend's head as she moved to gently console Hermione. "Just because you don't pay attention to things around you doesn't give you the right to make accusations. If you'd've been around you would've either seen the egg before, heard me talk about the twin one's we've at home, or simply spent enough time with Hermione to know that she's only eyes for you!"
With a huff she bent her head to Hermione's, not bothering to keep her voice quiet as she said "Seriously, 'Mione... at least Victor knew how to treat you right. And he sure didn't need to worry about a prospective job."
She was in part trying to make light & cheer Hermione up, in part trying to goad her brother.
Ginny was pretty sure she would succeed in the later.

He did feel bad about not being around for Hermoine....and maybe his sister. But hearing about Victor set him off and he turned around, his face red with anger, "Well if Vicky is such a great guy, why doesn't she just find him and they can make lots of eggs together!!" he yelled. And with that he turned and stomped out of the room.

She gasps at all of this and then flumps and buries her face in her paws, crying "Now he'll NEVER come back! Viktor isn't HERE, and he's JUST a friend, and you know it! Oh no...."

Brown eyes rolled in exasperation even as Ginny nuzzled her friend. "Oh of all the stupid..." Anger flashed in her eyes and she huffed angrily. "Sorry, 'Mione. Meant to goad him to action not retreat. Sometimes I forget what a stupid git..."
Ginny stopped herself, realizing saying such things was not likely going to help Hermione feel better. Giving her friend a squeaze she stood, stretched a back leg & turned the direction her brother had gone. She sighed. Stupid Ron & his stupid immaturity. "I'll go get him back here. Knock some sense into him if I have to."
Not waiting for a reply she hurried after Ron, barely looking around for him before laying into him. "Ronald Bilius Weasley!! You go right back in there and apologize to Hermione! I'm the one who brought up Viktor Krum, not her, so stop being such a stupid, childish, git about it!!! She's plain stupid for you, if you haven't noticed, which times like now I just can't fathom. We both know she's got the intelligence to go for better but smarts don't always follow hearts do they? But her heart's yours and if you have any smarts, Ronald Weasley, or any love for her at all you'll go back in there right now and make up with her!! Perhaps even admit you're upset 'cause you want to make lots of eggs with her, and then ruddy well do something about it!!!"
She snarled, red hair fanning about her like wild flames from her entrance and the way she tossed her head as she ranted. It would be redundant in such a mood as she was clearly in to warn him that if he did not, Ginny felt no compulsion not to fix him with a Bat Bogey Hex right there. Or maybe make him eat slugs. Her brown eyes flashed warningly.

Ron was actually laying outside, fuming and feeling sorry for himself. He did hear his sister yelling for him inside the shop, but he was being incredibly stubborn about it, not wanting to go back inside and face her, still smarting about the whole egg thing.

Hermione was crying her heart out, her head in her paws. She didn't pay any attention to the basket at her side, she was so upset over all of this.

Ginny was not sure what made her more upset -that Ron was not in the immediate vicinity of her voice or that she had wasted her breath on a perfectly wonderful rant. Furious she reached a paw into a robe pocket and tossed out a trail of dust upon the ground surrounding the main door in and out of the HQ. Her mind pondered only briefly how the twins had managed to get the magic dust they had created to atune itself to the trail of the one that was sought over the likely many trails that probably led in and out of the Realm HeadQuarters. Her ears shot up in determination as Ron's trail glowed the color of their flaming Weasley hair & Ginny shot down the path after him. Spotting him ahead her brown eyes flashed flames anew.
"Ronald Bilius Weasley!!! I know you can hear me! Stop being a ruddy git and get back there and apologize to Hermione before you lose the best thing that's ever happened to you!"

Ron narrowed his eyes when he heard Ginny shouting at him, "Why don't you bugger off and mind your own Ginny?! Not everyone can just go up to someone and declare their everlasting love for them without looking like a giant git!! You're not mum, so quit trying to tell me what to do!" he yelled back and then stomped away, his temper in a fury now.
