I have to say, honestly, that the first one I actually sat down and watched was "The Christmas Invasion". >.<;
..and then I immediately went back and watched as much as I was able to find. xD
First thought: "...wait.. isn't that Barty Jr??? " -sits and watches due to the main actor- Last thought: "... o_O He's.. fantastic! ... is there more of this stuff any time soon?" *grins*
(I have this quirk, where if I've seen the actor in something and they're good, I'll watch stuff with them in it..)
'Cause when New Who S1 started up, I was in the stage of thinking science fiction completely stupid. (Sorry, I have an immense dislike of Star Wars but my family is total opposite).
And at least half of the books on my shelf are science fiction/fantasy. 3nodding

I know from my parents' reminisences that I was loving the show during seasons 17 and 18, but can't remember any of it since I'd have been between the ages of two and three. Dad even used to sing me a little song he'd made up about it. The first story I can clearly remember watching though was Logopolis, although some subsequent childhod-archeology suggests that I'm not remembering it from its first broadcast but from the Five Faces of Doctor Who season of repeats that they stuck on before Castrovalva. Ceribri I have an immense dislike of Star Wars Very much with you there. 3nodding

My first was World War Three. I then watched the entire series that my mum and dad recorded. I didn't know what all the fuss was about... Now I'm trying to convince my friend to watch the christmas one but I doubt he will. xD

Haha, I am so gonna grow my kids up on Doctor Who (among other things). xD
And I figure most people here are older than me, so it's really interesting and fun to get their take on Classic vs New Who. To me it's all new. =3

Countess of Blood i dont know what it was called but the first episode i watched was the one with the robots in wigs and really old kinda victorian era outfits. and the doctor was like in love with someone i think. Sounds like The Girl In The Fireplace to me, with the clockwork droids, the Doctor falling for Madame De Pompadour and 18th Century clothes. Was David Tennant the Doctor in it or was it someone else?

I'm quite sure it was "Boom Town" when it first aired on the Sci Fi channel. Fell in love with the show and watched the rest of the new series on the intrarwebs.

I had heard about Doctor Who, and have a love for British television, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I saw a tiny bit of The Stones of blood, and Part 1 of The Power of Kroll, but it didn't really get me interested. Then I heard the new season had better graphics and such, so I thought I'd give it one more try. I watched the second ep of the S3 Daleks in Manhatten two parter, and was totally hooked. I'm going back now and watching the old episodes because I appreciate them a lot more.
