Okay, so, that's 16 definate relationships in my band...and I know there's a couple more I'm forgetting. >< It's a known fact that a good 5 or 6 of those couples have taken part in at least some sexual activity, also. :\ One couple did it in the guard storage room, another behind the timpani, it goes on and on...Let's just say I'm a part of a very horny band. 3nodding

Well, at the begininning of this season, my boyfriend and I were the only so-called band-lationship in our marching band. By the end of the season, several more couples had joined the ranks. Our band's not all that big though, so there aren't a whole lot...hmm...

Me (guard) + Saxophone guy
Guard girl + Snare guy
Snare guy + Quint girl
Guard girl + Pit guy
Drum Major (flute) + Pit guy

Um...that might be all actually. Like I said, my band's pretty small.

UPDATE: I asked him out over the phone on Sunday night, and he did not say anything... then I said, "Gotta go... Byes!" and then click... Monday I wrote him a note asking about it and why he did not answer... still nothing.. and he left my only pen on the stand, as I found out that night when I called to ask about it (bcz it was my ONLY ONE) and really I only called for the pen.. but then I asked him about it he said nothing... I asked him if he enjoyed psychologically torturing me, and he laughed and said no... then he had to eat.. during band today he gave me the occasional glance with a you-know-I-know smile... what do you guys think? oh and this afternoon I went up to him (bcz i was passing him in hall anyway) and said"you're really enjoying this aren't you" he says "enjoying what" and I tell him "you know what I mean"... he smiles slightly, I hug him as he acts embarassed about it and I leave... the end... so seriously.. whaddayall think?

We have a lot of band-lationships. I think its just easier to date someone in band because there with you all the time and they share the same obsession you do. When I started dating my boyfriend he was in band. He had to quit because of football but I'm still dating him.

Yeah, he is. He wanted to do just symphonic but our director wouldn't let him but that's ok because we have enough percussion as it is. Thank you!

Play hard-to-get? I donno... I have my own little tasty story for you all though blaugh . I was at jazz band with my boyfriend the other night and we were in the courtyard of our school. It was dark and it was just the two of us. I was about to pick up my trombone case and he said "Amanda, wait...", I looked up and he kissed me blaugh . My first kiss, it was perfect, and just so amazing.... *sigh* smile

Lessee here... this year, well...

I'll put the male member of the relationship first...

Senior tuba and freshman flute

Junior snare and senior piccolo

Senior timpany and senior mellophone

Sophomore trumpet and freshman color guard

Senior baritone and senior color guard

Senior bass drummer and another senior color guard

one of the freshman bass drummers was going out with a junior piccolo... that lasted 2 weeks

A sophomore bari sax was dating another junior piccolo... but they broke up a couple weeks ago, I think

A freshman baritone and a freshman bass clarinet had already been dating for 6 months when the season started, but they broke up like a week into the season

A senior trombone was dating a color guard member who graduated last year... as far as I know, they're still together; and a senior trumpet was dating another guard member who graduated, and I know for a fact that they're still going out.

Before I read the thread, I have some to contribute.

Non-bandie: Are you two going out or something?
Clarinet to Bari-sax: Are we goign out?
Bari-sax: Sure, why not?
Clarinet: Yeah, we are.

At our Music Leadership Camp I met this guy who goes to another school and plays bass there. About a week later one of my friends, plays flute, bugged him and apparently he has the intention of asking me out. eek biggrin

*Random fact: Music Leadership camp was the same week as when our clarinet player and our bari-sax player "officailly" started to go out. venus and Jupiter was also conjunct or something... Lucky love or peace and jollity.*

One of the flute players likes our bass clarinet player. Nothing's happening with them yet.

There's probably more that I'm forgetting, but meh.

I just remembered one band-lationship (kinda). A senior flute playing is dating a guy who graduated a couple years ago, but was in the jazz band on guitar before he did graduate. He's the older brother of a junior flute player.

And there was a sophomore clarinet player dating a sophomore trumpet player last year (or maybe that was freshman year... it's all a blur @_@), but they broke up a long time ago. One of my friends (a junior oboe/alto player) has a crush on a junior trombone player and a sophomore alto player. The trombone player I THINK had a thing for one of the sophomore flute/piccolo players last year (meaning she was a freshman at that point), but don't quote me on that, 'cause I don't really know. x_x;;

And I, of course, still like my tenor guy, and I am still incapable of more than subtle flirting. >.> Meep.

yeah...it is pretty lame...my guy friends are all the baritones, except the gay one...he's weird and he's actually a trombone...I hang out with them at breaks and football games.
