The mage woman turned her head slightly, just enough to look at the boy while still keeping her watchful gaze on the assassin. A frown covered her features, and she made a motion that had three of the guardsmen advancing on the lad. This was no place for a child.
Turning back to the woman holding the hostage, she shook her head.
"If you are innocent, then you have nothing to fear. If not, you will be punished proportionate with your crime. And you will learn that it does not pay to break the King's law, if you are in fact guilty."
She smiled, but it was cold and did not reach her eyes.
"You should know, that if you kill this man, or continue to run, you will be struck down as such actions only cement your guilt. But if you come quietly, the King, in his infinite kindness and wisdom, may grant you mercy. Choose now."

"Always underestimating me, I hate that." he said angrily. Dropping of the window sill he used his right hand to draw his sword, his left still in his pocket. He pointed one finger at the hostage, the rune on his hand started glowing and the man started choking. after which he ran at the first soldier cutting at his knee. His scimitar seeming to cut through the metal effortlessly cane clean through the otherside into the second mans stomach. "ANYONE ELSE WANT TO UNDERESTIMATE ME!" he shouted obviosly enraged whiping the sword back out of the guard stabing the crippeled guard through teh back of the neck on the backswing.

Xandra cursed under her breath as the fat man began to choke. He suddenly slumped backwards and his eyes rolled to the back of his head. She glared at the boy. This idiot had killed her hostage! "If you really were here to help me, you wouldn't have done that, boy." She said, shoving the dead man onto the weapons of the soldiers in front of her. She lunged forwards and grabbed two of them by their collars after they'd dropped their weapons and sat them down between the mage and the boy, facing the woman with her daggers at their throats. "I don't see why I'm here." She said, breathing heavily from her burst of movement. "All Ive done was take this man hostage to save my own life and keep you from hacking me appart. It was the other man who tried to burn down the city."

Glancing at Xandra with a murderious lookin his eyes he spoke. "Youre in my way. Sit down." as he said the last sentance an invisable force threw her to the wall and forced her to sit, safly out of the way. "And dont interfere. With him dead he couldnt escape when your body goes limp from the shock of what im about to do and had you not thrown the corpse you would have had a shield aganst the potential archer prepared to snipe you . Now leave the escape to the profesional, you keep ruining it." returning his gaze to the mage the look in his eyes daring her to do something knowing full well shes completly powerless around him.

((I dislike power-playing or auto-hitting of my NPCs. stare Do not do so again. This applies to both of you.))
The soldiers on the ground scrambled up with embarrassment on their features; to be fair, they were new recruits, not yet battle-hardened. They kept their weapons trained in the assassin's direction, while the rest of the guards stood between the child and the mage.
For her part, the woman had turned to face the boy-child with growing comprehension in her features. Horror haunted her eyes as she looked at the fallen bodies before her, then back up at him. Her composure remained in tact, just as long as she did not look down at the blood spattered over the foot of her gown. Ego was obviously his weak point; best she hit it hard and swift, before more blood was spilled.
"You are not of the White Tower, but you are well trained. You are indeed powerful, for one so young yet."
Here, she smiled nervously, her tone a fraction from groveling.
"It would be folly to squander such talent like this. For a woman who is only a petty criminal. Come, you should let me lead you to the High Mage. She would be interested in what she might learn from you, perhaps even give you a place of honor."

Gale laughed as the mage spoke."You sound like your groveling. Whats a 'mage' doing groveling to a 'mere child'.Thanks for the compliment though." he said then making his tone more serious. "A petty criminal she may be, but a petty criminal that my master finds useful. Perhaps I should put the situation into perspective for you. My gift isnt my own. Its stolen from mages like yourself who try to stop me. My power lets me breakdown the fabric of magic into its base components and reconstruct it at my will. I was also enrolled in the blademaster academy for 6 years, not long youd say but i was a prodegy. Now im ranked 3rd circle. Guards, do you really want to fight a person who with one hand killed two of your allies and made your magical support powerless? last cahnce to save your lives."
((sorry about that npcs are ussually immune from that))

ooc; Sorry. bic; Xandra gasped with pain as she was tossed at the wall like a rag doll and forced to sit. She returned the boy's murderous look with an angry glare and cursed him under her breath. Professional? Huh. She turned her glare to the soldiers who had surrounded her. She frowned, knowing that all she had to do was run her hand down her arm and flick her hand in their direction, then the lot of them would be laying dead with daggers in their chests. Then again, if there were an army of archers waiting to snipe her down, she'd be caught and hung for the murder of two men. She turned to the mage with a look of disbelif on her face as she spoke. "I'm the petty criminal? He comes in, slaughters him," She jerked her thumb in the dead fat man's direction. "kills these pitiful guys," she looked at the soldiers on the floor. "And I'm the criminal? I haven't even killed anybody! Nobody would be dead if he would have just stayed at home practicing his murder spells!" She leaned her aching back against the wall. "And you invite him to join you and your little group of mages."

The guards did not turn and run; the King's men did not give in to fear so easily. But their stances shifted, and they stood ready with serious looks on their faces. To a man, they had underestimated the child's abilities; they would not do so again.
As for the mage, she spread her hands in a placating gesture.
"There is no need for this."
Her eyes drifted to Xandra with a troubled expression in them. It would have surprised the assassin, perhaps, to know that the woman was trying to come up with a way to save her life as well as the rest in the room. The white-robe knew what was at stake here; the words of the oracle in the Tower had warned of this boy; she was certain he was the one.
"You are obviously no mere child. We here are only seeking to uphold the law; our quarrel is not with you. I would ask that you do not involve yourself here. There is nothing for you to gain."

"Teacher. your in this city then. no doubt trying to build a resistance foroce. it wont work foolish bird. Im sorry where was I?" he says returning his gaze to the group. " ah right me taking her whiether you let us go or I kill you. I honestly like the slaughtering part."

The mage seemed torn, her eyes flicking back and forth between the assassin girl and the boy with the bloodstained sword. Slowly, with vast reluctance obvious in her posture, the woman nodded.
"Very well. Take her and be gone from Ancar."

"I want to duel my exteacher. Prove that I was ready." "We better hurry theres someone i wanna meet first." he said walking out the door then waiting for her to follow.

Xandra shot a furious glance at the mage woman as she stood up. This was utterly humiliating, saved, then kidnapped by.....a kid! She began to walk towards him, glaring at her feet. Who was the "master" he was talking about? What did he want with her? She stopped abruptly and cast a pleading look at the mage. If the master wanted what she thought he wanted, she'd rather be hung. Well, if he did, and she refused, he'd either force her, or kill her. Maybe she could stick a knife in him before he tried anything. She glanced at the boy and quickly crossed that off. If what she'd just seen were the powers of one of the apprentices, she wasn't sure she could kill the master. She walked over to the boy. "Er...what exactly does your master want with me?"

"Its best not to question him, but the only reasons he would risk me revealing my powers are if either A, you have some hidden potential; B, your a reagent in his resurection, or C, youve done something horible to him and your going to pay. but becasue he didnt tell me to kill you id cross of the last one." he said walking towards damien. he couldnt believe his luck, he can acomplish his mission AND get back at his teacher in teh same day. Amazing.

The mage looked shame faced, averted her eyes a moment. But into Xandra's mind whispered a tiny voice:
~Be steadfast. Help comes.~
