Tristan gazed at the gathering crowd with blank eyes and a raised eyebrow. He'd hoped for some privacy with the mafia leader but that seemed nearly impossible now. He therefore proceeded to answer the man who had stuck his nose in Tristan's face. "My name is Tristan Avalon and I would like to offer my services to the Butterfly Mafia. I have already asked Kyrin's father to be allowed into his own mafia but I was politely turned down." He turned to the blonde woman who had been revealed as Kyrin. "My mother's name was Lydia Avalon. Perhaps you knew her?"

Kyrin pulled her gaze away from Ian as he nodded to her, she showed him slight acknowledgment, but then her attention was pulled away as her cousin decided that he was all high and mighty. What the hell is he going on about? Even though Jaydn had only spoken one line, Kyrin knew that something was going on in that smug head of his. As Fiore’s surprise splayed across her face, Kyrin smiled to her. Kyrin wasn’t going to explain her motives to Fiore, but it was simple to why she let her in. Before, the girl had snuck around Kyrin’s mansion and it had upset Ky, but this time she came in with respect, with intention and the knowledge of what she wanted. Kyrin appreciated that. But, also, while the girl had been away, Kyrin had done research on her and her father, finding the girl’s skills to be useful. Not to mention, without Felix going on the mission, Kyrin would need someone that knew security systems. “Do I need to explain it to you?”
Her attention went back to Tristan as he said the name ‘Lydia Avalon’, Kyrin had known the woman. Her thoughts went to the woman who had drug overdosed. There were many times in the mafia that Ky had encountered Lydia, but never her son. Tristan was a new face. Kyrin’s smile turned to Tristan and she wandered closer, extending her hand. “I knew your mother.” She said politely, though it was only on the surface, “I do have to ask you though, why would my father turn you down?” Kyrin could think of a number of reasons that her father would turn someone down, but none of them seemed logical. Maybe it had something to do with his mother, Father has always been about names and titles.

From across the room, Jamie caught Nori's glance. He smiled to the boy, saluted with two fingers in greeting. He considered making his way around the conversation to speak to Nori, he enjoyed the other boy's company, but decided against it. Jamie knew the more attention he devoted to his small crush on Nori, the more jealous Ian got, and that in and of itself amused him to no end, but he didn't want to overplay it. If he did, Nori might notice his interest, and then he'd have Ian's jealousy on the both of them. That could be dangerous. That could be very dangerous indeed.

At the corner of his eye, Nori noticed Jamie's greeting. He waved back, but put up his index finger, which meant ' I'll catch you later'. This was a potentially important conversation, so even though Jamie seemed like he wanted company, and Nori wanted his, he would wait to see Kyrin finish the situation here first. It was strange seeing new people all of a sudden. This little unit of people in the mafia seemed to be growing. But Nori could definately not complain. He loved the company, and any opportunity to make a new friend was one he would take.

Avalon? Jaydn remembered Avalon and recalled hearing about a son but never met the man himself. He remember feeling sympathy for the Avalon family when Lydia had passed on but there was never any sort of funeral service so he hadnt been able to express his feelings to the family directly.
At hearing that Han rejected Tristan, Jaydn became even more suspicious. Han must have had a good reason for not taking the man in and Jaydn was rather proud at the fact that Kyrin seemed to pick this up. Her dad would be happy. Jaydn had complete faith in Han's ability to judge people. It was well known that he only took the best into his mafia and, as far as Jaydn knew, no one that was ever taken into the Lower City Mafia under Han's orders was a regretted addition. In a sense, this boosted Jaydn's self-confidence. That Han had chosen Jaydn as the heir to the Mafia must had meant that Jaydn had some sort of greatness about him, even if he wasn't completely sure what it was himself.
Though Kyrin had taken the conversation with Tristan into her own hands, Jaydn continued to keep a wary eye on the newcomer, keeping his stance and distance from the man.

Jamie smiled, offering a slight laugh and a nod. He disappeared into the kitchen, looking for food, the first he had eaten in a day or so. He often avoided food, most of the time, considering it a necessity rather than a pleasure. He pulled food out of the refridgerator, nothing that required cooking. He could really only cook when there were instructions on the side of the box. He sat at the kitchen table, eating mindlessly, half listening to the people talking in the foyer. He didn't care much about the new people, they didn't seem to be a help or a hinder to his case.

Fiore looked around with her big, orange eyes, making a note of every detail of her surroundings as though she were like a computer. She looked at every person and memorized their appearance. She recognized one of them, wearing a dress that she had once seen Izzy wear. It was that boy that she had seen from behind the tree that one time. It made her interested a bit, but she also noticed that they seemed to be preoccupied with something else.
Fiore wasn't exactly the kind of person who started conversations, and kept to herself most often. She wasn't used to talking or letting other people in to her life. Being a part of this would sure be an experience. A number of people were in a crowd though, around something Fiore couldn't see.
It wasn't her fault she was short, but she tried to think of this as more of an advantage, but she had the displeasure of having to stand on her tiptoes behind Jaydn to try to see what they were standing around.

Ian listened quietly to the conversation that was going on between Kyrin and the newcomers. He sighed. He wasn't going to get the mission information from Kyrin at this point. He felt his stomach growl in protest to his not eating a single thing yet. Ian walked to the kitchen and found Jamie there, eating. Ian blinked. Jamie was actually eating? This was a new development. He walked past Jamie and grabbed ingredients for an omelet out of the refrigerator. "Good morning, James. Wow. You're actually eating? On your own? The world is going to explode."

"Kaboom." Jamie replyed dryly. He still wasn't sure how he felt about seeing Ian around all the time, but sending him home would have been worse. He took the food he hadn't eaten, about a quarter of it, and threw the remnants away. Having his eating habits picked on bothered him at the moment, and that it was Ian giving him the hard time only made it worse. "Do you know anything about the mission Kyrin was on about?"

Ian rolled his eyes at Jamie's childish response but decided to ignore it for now. He shook his head. "No...I fell asleep. I guess I sleep through the call. She's dyed her hair blond though. So something must be going on." Looking around the kitchen, Ian pointed to the stove. "You want an omelet? I'm making one for myself."

Jamie sat back in the chair, resting slightly and ignoring most of what Ian had said. Or pretending to. "Maybe I should dye my hair black... Remember when I did that in high school?" He smiled, figuring that his blatant disregard of most of Ian's commentary would annoy the other man. Ian irritated always managed to make Jamie giggle inwardly, and often he provoked him just for laughs. He leaned over the back of his chair, looking at Ian with a wry smile.

Ian frowned. Jamie, you jerk! Blatantly ignoring me! Ian bit his lip. He had to be nice. He was going to try to get along with Jamie. He was going to really really try. "Oh yeah. I remember. It looked really nice. You're dying your hair black? Why the sudden change?"

Jamie laughed a little and shook his head. "I'm not dying it. I was thinking about it." He stood, and kissed Ian on the cheek, with the sole intention of irritating the other man, and went for the doorway. "Anyways, I'm going to go find someone who knows about the mission."

Ian felt a hot blush run over his face as Jamie kissed him on the cheek. Putting his hand on his cheek, he glared at Jamie. "W-w-what was that for?!!?" How dare he kiss him! Forget being nice! Jamie wasn't playing fair. Ian grabbed a napkin and threw it at the door. Ian frowned. He was no help what-so-ever.
