Kiefer let his stance ease....it was just a nightmare, nothing real. He wouldn't have to fight off any evil soquili just yet.
It was so against Kiefer's nature to be responsible. At home, that was Abattie's job. She was responsable, he protected, and Tahlia made sure they stuck together. But maybe it was time to turn back...

" Keifer.... I ... I wanna go home...", she admitted in a low tone. She picked herself off the ground , she seemed to do that a lot didn't she? SHe stood so she was lkevel with the golden colt.

"Me too" he admitted. It would be unfair for him to redicule her: he was about to confess this feeling as well. Plus, neither of them were at the top of their game. Why kick someone while they were down?
"I think we should head....that way" he said, looked off to where he had just turned earlier. It was his best bet, and his barely-developed insticts said that was as well.
He didn't wait for an answer, even if she argued, he would go this way anything. He felt like it was the way he just had to go too, even if he went alone. Kiefer started walking

Tierce didn't wait for an invitiation she was right next to him as soon as he started on their way. Hopefully he had some idea of where to go, she obviously didn't. She pressed herself against him and whispered in his ear." Do you know where we're going?", she didn't want to attract the attentions of any of those beasts she met in her dream.

Kiefer flinched as she pressed up against him. He didn't like having his personal space invaded...he hated it when his sisters did it. But the filly was terrified, and he knew from experience that when someone was upset or scared, it was best to just deal.
"Well, this is directly backwards from the way we were walking before.We didn't zigzag TOO much, so it is bound to be in this general direction." he squinted, hoping that it was still light out so they could see the end of the forest when...if...they got there.

" So if we keep going straight, we'll end up where we started ?", she became a little less anxious now that they had an idea of which way 'out' was. But if it was no longer day out of these woods than they might not be able to get to the edge as easily as she hoped. She too was squinting for any signs of light or life.

"Yes...I think" he said, trying to be possitive. What time of the day was it when they left for the woods? Several hours had gone by since then, that was for sure. It was possibly that they would see light.
He trecked onward and the woods soon began to be not quite as thick. He looked upward. Hmm...no sun through the trees yet. It would take more because the trees were open enough to see the sky.

It didn't seem to be as dense anymore since they moved on, possibly lighter too. Or could it be her eyes were now used to such dark environments ? She didn't know but she was less paranoid and more hopeful as they progressed. " We must be getting close.", she decided out loud.

Kiefer squinted off into the distance...could it be...yes...it was! The end of the forest!
It was very, very far off....but he could see it, he knew it was there. The little colt bolted forward in excitment, weaving through the trees, bring himself closer to the far away exit. He completely forgot about his companion. The ending ..so far off. But he could see it! He huffed for air as fatigue set in.

" Hey, Bonehead ! Wait up, what is it !", she was just a stride behind him.
She caught on quickly when he took off excitedly, but couldn't quite catch him.
" Where are you going?!", she shouted frustratedly.

"Huh?" he said, barely aware that Tierce was calling after him. The end...it was so near! So far still... but so, so near!
He slowed to a trot...then a walk. His chest heaved "The.....end....up...there..." he wheezed. It had gotten closer....he could almost see out now. It looked like it must be nearing sunset, the rosey hue to it all indicated early evening.
Had they turned around any later, they probubly would not be able to too see the exit. Kiefer breifly wondered where they were in comparason to where they entered. Certainly they wern't in the exact spot, but hopefully they weren't so far off that they couldn't find their way back.
Ah, what did it matter though? Out of the woods! From there, it would be so easy to go home!

" Finally!!", she exclaimed exhaustedly.
Even if they had managed to come to the end of their frightful flee, they still might have a ways to go before home. Tierce certainly did not feel like travelling much further than out of the woods.
She noticed her companions wheezing."Are you gonna be okay?", she asked worriedly.

"Huh? Wha? Oh yea... I'm fine..." they were quite close to the exit now, he wanted to sprint to the end, but his lack of oxygen said otherwise.
He wondered how long they had been in, it must have been hours. Had his parents began to worry yet? Had anyone even noticed? If they hadn't found their way out. would anyone every find them?
Well, that was over now. He wouldn't have to worry about being lost anymore, and he knew that he certainly wouldn't be entering those horrible woods for quite some time.

" We're FREE !!!", she holered as she jumped out of the shade of the woods in front of Kiefer.
She was ecstatic, no longer pursued by demons, real or other wise, and the sunlight there to comfort her. That is, the remianing sunlight. They had indeed been gone fairly long. The sun was no longer so high in the sky or so warm. The day was preparing to end. And the sky was already turnign a dull pink. She realized how close they hadcutit when the foud their escape route.
But with the pinkening sky, and he waning sun, she could tell this was not where they had entered.
" Great out of the heat and into the fire.", she moaned.

He looked left, then right. Where had they come in?
Landmarks...landmarks. He tried to remember but there were not any. Trees and rocks. Nothing that he would remember too well. But where were they? This land was just like everywhere else, not completely unfarmiliar, but no where that he had been before.
"Where do you think we are?" he asked, a bit worried. At lesat they were out the woods. Now they just needed to get to a point where they both could find their way homes.
This might be a bit tough.
