"I think..." Yuthaweh said slowly "...I think I could do it. Specific safe-guards and recognition parametres have to be established, but it isnt anything I haven't been commissioned to before. The price depends on the number of units required. And of course what type of unit you want. There are many different strengths and weaknesses, sir, and I can asure you that each one is capable of the job. They will vary in quality with the materials used in their creation. I suggest that we also patch them through the same main processing unit housed in a safe place away from any danger. I have several units in varying states of completetion and can have them ready soon. They can be the first, given to you, the Council Representitive in this interaction, in return for your first payment. After this time I will provide you with shipments as I finish them until the total number of units are fully operational. I will also create something very important. Maitenence golems. This way your guards won't have to worry about mucking up something when repairing one, which all but garuntees my creations will remain functioning. Do you find this to your liking?" Yuthaweh was dealing sololy on business levels here, giving all the information up front when things are most likely to be over-looked. However, if this many units were deployed all over the city, he could do what he did with Seren-XI's units and when his work finally came to fruition, he would have the entire city as his wealth of knowledge.

"That certainly sounds satisfactory. Are you sure you don't want anything to drink? Well, anyways, you know what you're doing. As far as it goes, i'm not concerned with the details. Make it happen and i'll keep you funded. The golems don't have to be anything overly impressive, just impressive enough." He smiled and took a final swallow of the contents of his glass container. "I'm sure you know how to handle this sort of thing. Frankly, i'll probably just be getting in the way, right?" Of course, the look on his face was more conspiratorial than that; in essence, he had just given him quite a bit of free reign in power in this project, power that could be abused, and they probably both knew it. While he feigned incompetence in the matter, a simple look into his eyes showed he knew exactly what he was doing.
"Anyways, with that unsightly business out of the way, how are you doing yourself? Times are certainly interesting, and assets are hardly safe anymore. Have any of your holdings been struck by the rebels?"

"No actually. I have all my assests on shipments over seas and stocks. My money comes in as long as my associate's trade does well. Otherwise I am given materials from the Council warehouses to finish government funded experiments. Since very little of my resources are stored outside my secure household, the rebels have not affected my own work. I'm simply against them because I'm concerned what a rabble like them could do to the order we have in our fair city." Yuthaweh gave a small smile. "I am a man of few possessions apart from my work and my house, so I am good with the financial business where service abounds rather than material wealth. You might say that I am good with making people do things that they are otherwise reluctant to do..."

"That's good news, good news indeed. I'd hate to hear you were a victim in this sordid mess." He steepled his fingers together as he regarded him curiously. "If the rebels are allowed to continue doing as they please, the city will crumble, that much is for certain. It doesn't help that our late leader is currently not among the living. Luckily enough, it seems there is someone ready to fill in his shoes. What do you think of her?" He never said the name- he didn't have to.

Luckily enough, it seems there is someone ready to fill in his shoes. What do you think of her?" He never said the name- he didn't have to. "My thoughts on that matter are slightly positive, but as with all things...change must be watched carefully." He thought a moment. "I am in support of her, mostly so that my back is covered on that matter, but to trust in her ability as a leader is another matter entirely. She seems to be the most experienced. I will be meeting her today to discuss some private business matters" The topic was indeed interesting, for more than one reason. All three mages; De BRandt, Yuthaweh, and Seren-Xi were specifically summoners. The similarity between their magic may prove useful to study if De Brandt moved onto that subject.

(Actually, she's active. sweatdrop )
"Ah, of course, of course. Well, my opinions are fairly neutral as of this moment. I've yet to have a chance to speak with her at the moment. Hopefully the ensuing conversation will be quite enlightening. Perhaps she is best to throw in with, rather than make enemies with anyone else? Certainly, there are some who would see siding with anyone as a threat to themselves. Well, what can you do?" He shrugged nonchalantly.
"I suppose I shouldn't waste your time with this idle chit chat. You are a busy man, after all. I have nothing else of importance to say, but you're welcome to enjoy my hospitality as long as you like."

"You are correct, Counciller De Brandt, I am a busy man." Yuthaweh retrieved his gloves form the construct he had handed them off to and stood up. "Perhaps our next meeting will allow me the liesure of time so that our conversation can breech topics less business-related in nature. I am sure we will correspond on various events in the future and looked forward to talking with you again." Yuthaweh tipped his head, having been dismissed, and seeing as it was nearing late afternoon, Yuthaweh made up his mind to go. "I'll have your servant show me out and thank you for hospitality."

"Thank you for indulging me. Safe journeys home, my man." He stood as his guest went to leave, inclining his head slightly. When it came right down to it, his ulterior motives there were almost non existant- he really did want those golems. That would be helpful enough to him, he didn't need to go about with cloak and dagger quite yet. Maybe not at all.

The journey home was indeed safe and uneventful, however many things occupied Yuthaweh's mind. First and foremost was Seren-Xi's emminant arrival, for which he was thouroughly prepared. The second is how much she needed to know. That, he would play with a bit. He wanted her to realize he wasn't her spy...merely her ally in these matters. If there was one thing Yuthaweh hated most, it was being controlled. Commanded yes....but never controlled...

Raserei had left his room a while back, to go pick up a makeshift weapon from the armory. These weapons were hand-me-downs for the most part, discarded by various mercenaries in favor of new ones. This didn't mean they were bad weapons; on the contrary, they were all quite good, some made by the blacksmiths of the Soldner clan itself. It was just that there were better weapons. They were all practical; no designs or decorations, just pure practicality. The Soldner clan was a painfully practical group, and none of them cared for decoration or looking nice.
That being said, the inside of the Gothic esque looking building was about as well lighted as a building without windows or magical lighting was going to get; not very well. There were torches and lamps hung up on walls and the like, a few braziers here and there, but the lighting of the place almost made it seem all the more gloomy. There were patches that seemed very dark, contrasted by the fires that burned with a fierce orange glow. Also, just about everywhere someone looked, they'd see one thing; the ominous, black and red standard of the Soldner clan.
The inward appearance of the building having been gone over, Raserei looked about at the weapons on racks and simply piled on the floor here. Very few of the weapons were swords.
The average Soldner was taught how each type of weapon functioned and how each type of weapon was advantegeous over others, and, quite frankly, the sword wasn't as effective a weapon as most people thought. It was easy to master, sure, but it put little of it's weight behind it's striking blade, making it practically impossible to get through armor with, and it was, contrary to popular belief, not much lighter than other weapons. About all of the Soldners that had used swords and sparred with users of other weapons of the same rank lost time and time again, and as such quickly discarded the swords for more suitable weapons.
It wasn't suprising that the signature weapon of the Soldner clan was the axe. The axe was simply an extremely effective weapon. It put all of it's weight behind the cutting blade, making it able to cut through defences with ease, and it wasn't very heavy. In fact, most axes were lighter than swords; the majority of an axe was wood anyway. To Raserei, there was little more to look for in a weapon; swift and powerful at the same time. The axe was much harder to master than the sword, of course, being less balanced. Maybe that was the reason behind it's popularity.
That all aside, Raserei began rummaging through the weapons, looking for one that would suit his needs. Whenever he came to a sword, he naturally tossed it off to the side without glancing at it. He hefted several weapons, testing them out, until he came to a rather large maul. It was an extremely large and heavy weapon, with a battered and battle-scarred iron head and a thick, hickory haft. Hickory was a popular material in making hafts for weapons, as it was able to withstand shock quite well. Not as good as lignumviti, but still good.
Inspecting the weapon, he noted what looked like skull fragments partially embedded into the impact areas on the iron head. It was apparent that the previous user was quite strong and about as large as Raserei, as the maul fit him well. Swinging it once, he was satisfied with how it handled, and left the armory.

"Bloody aweful clock" Yuthaweh cursed under his breathe at the chronological display unit upon the mantle in his study. He paced the floor, his real hand tapping impatiently against the metal prosthetic limb. He was getting increasingly aggitated with waiting. He had not worked on his golems...truely worked...for some time. Sure he tinkered here and there, but he was itching to create. Once all this politcal business was out of his way he could return to giving the Council the golems it needed to make a perfect and just society. Now if only Serene-Xi would stopping taking her precious time and get over here!

Oxidous, a trained stealth assassin sauntered(sp?) out of the shadows behind the shop. He had been searching for the royale that had captured the Magi's leader. Oxidous was an avant attender to the Magi assassin's guild and had many unimaginable skills. "Damnit...Where could that pesky royale be?..."
