Jan_Tanner "I didn't..." Ian replied, sighing and leaning on the tree's trunk, he looked back down at the drag marks left by the wolf and shook his head. "I more 'felt' it then saw... after all with a soul that foul it's hard NOT to feel it's presence whenever it get's in a really evil mood." "Well it's proven in the past that if we kill it, it's just gonna come back stronger, and more pissed off. So how do you suggest we deal with this?" He said as he began walking up the tree, then turning around and pacing back down it again.

"Well part of the problem is that it's body is that nasty acid..."
Ian said scratching his head and thinking out loud.
"Since it can often come back from any type of direct offensive strike, the best way to deal with this thing is to trap it semi-permanently.... otherwise we run the risk of it either re-growing or worse yet, multiplying..."

"Multiplying? An army of those things could mean the end of the world." He said jumping back onto the branch. "I suppose we should be heading back to the city then?" He said as he spun out his scyth and prepared to open up a portal to the city.

"I think I'll stay out here for a bit... I want to do some thinking... and mabey talk to Tren to see if he can help..."
Ian said, sighing lightly. He gave Frost a wave before heading up to the upper levels of the tree to sit down.

Ani quietly padded through an alleyway tossing her latest prize up and down in the air, dinner. After one last toss she caught her apple and took a large bite out of it while she rested against the wall to enjoy her meal. "Mmm" She closed her mis-matched eyes until she finished her bite and smiled a bit at the simple joy of being able to eat in peace for a moment. After munching for a few more moments, she started to walk again heading towards the park to find a better place to sit and eat.

Frost opened up his portal and arrived in the middle of the park. He then found a bench and sat down against it, making his robes turn invisible so that he seemed to be a normal person. He leaned back to look up at the stars and closed his eyes, not far from where Ani was. From the other people in the city he looked quite well feed and clothed, despite his current job.

Ani heard a noise behind her and jumped, almost dropping her apple. She looked to the other side of the tree and spotted her company. "Who are you?" She reached for one of her chains and un-wrapped it in one quick motion letting it hit the ground next to her.

Frost opened an eye and looked at her. "Me? I'm just a wandering soul, going about my buisness." He stood up and cracked his fingers as he walked over to her. "Now put the chain away. There's no need for that." He said getting alarmingly closer to her before stopping, face to face with her. His eye's drowsy and with a bored look in them.

She looked up at him and stepped back a little wanting space between them. "Give me a good reason why I should drop it, I don't know you." She said matter of factly as she took another bite of her apple, her stomach taking first priority over the stranger in front of her.

"Oh you do now? Then tell me, who am I? I'm afraid my heads been a little mixed up lately and I'm having trouble just seeing my hands infront of my face." He said with a creepy grin as he turned his back on her and began to reach for something in his pocket.

"I said I didn't." She took a cautious step forward letting her chain slip from her fingers as she took the last bite out of her meal. She took another step and threw away the apple core while watching him, curiosity taking over her common sense.

"Now, now. Don't be so hostile towards me. It's not your time yet you know. You still have a while to live before I come for you." He said walking off a bit more reaching into his pocket and quickly pulling out something brown, not letting her see what.

Ani sighed and shoved her hands in her pockets. "What do you mean?" She tilted her head a bit causing her long braid to follow suite. She rested against the tree behind her and looked down at the ground a little muddled. "Who are you?"

"Me? Well I'm called alot of things. Mostly I'm just a mistake. If you want to know my name, it's Frost." He then turned around and gave a odd smirk. "And as for what I mean, are you sure you want to find out?"

"Pretty sure, I'm sure if you were going to kill me now it would've happened already." She wrapped her arms tightly across her stomach when it started to growl again. "Unless I just starve to death on the spot." She muttered under her breath.
