Aphismet grinned at his brother's expression, and laughed happily at the minty Frei's actions; he was so CUTE! Very much like a baby child, not like Rivener when they met. That new Raevan would make a good match for Isi... Staying away, letting the two meet, Aph tried to be quiet, stifling his chuckles.
Rivener frowned at being ignored. He looked over at the other Raevan; why all the fuss over him?
Then it dawned on him. This new Raevan WAS Isi's! Riv felt tricked! He'd been talking to this Frei casually for a while now, but he'd be supposed to hate Isi's Raevan! What should he do now?
Rivener's gaze locked on the other Raevan. He had to make up his mind. Would he hate this one? Would he like him? Frowning, Riv tried to come to a decision.

Isi was completely blown away. He could hardly contain himself! He was beside himself with excitement and tingles of numbing fear. Stepping forward, the cripple boy hobbled closer to try and see his raevan's face.
Making soft sounds, the newborn frei pushed himself more into Chloe's arms as his new owner came closer. He was shy to meet this new one, but he was curious too. Wobbling out of Chloe's arms, the frei decided to inspect his new family. He floated over to Isi, reached out tenatively and touched his hair, then he poked the things attached to his arms. Curious, he tried to pick up the metal thing, but it was securely attached to the cripple boy's arms. Hmm...Was this a part of his new owner? he wondered. Then looking back up at Isi's face, still holding onto Isi's arm as the boy leaned the rest of his weight on the other, the raevan smiled curiousily and bumped his head against Isi's.
Chuckling, Isi stumbled back a little and he kept himself steady. He was absolutely amazed by this new raevan, a new frei that was his! He couldn't speak. Still smiling an ear to ear smile, the boy asked, "Hello, little one, I'm Isi."
"'alloa Isi family," responded the minty green frei. Then, excited he asked, "My name that is? Little one?"
Isi laughed louder and he shook his head, "No...No...Your name shall be...Eirdirsceol. Which means leafy messenger."
"Air...de...Eardi...Ae..."
"Or just Eiry, for a nickname."
"EIRY!" shouted the newly named Raevan, throwing his arms into the air and nearly knocking the cripple off his feet. Wobbling around in a happy circle, the frei rejoiced loudly, "Eiry I am, I am! I am Eiry!"
Then he 'tripped' in the air and nearly fell. But he quickly recovered and continued his merrymaking.

Chloe beamed, standing back and placing her hands in her pockets. This was one of the most wonderful sights ever, she decided. Seeing the two instantly connect with each other.
"Th-That's a beautiful name. Eirdirsceol." She gave a small nod, carefully storing this bit of information where she could not forget it.

Aph blinked at the complicated word Isi picked for his Raevan's name. "Wow, where did you learn that? Is that some kind of foreign language?" Aph walked forward as he spoke, and then turned a smile to the minty Frei.
"Hello, Eiry! I'm Aphismet; I'm Isi's big brother! I guess that kind of makes me your Uncle! And that one, you met him already, he's my Raevan Rivener. He will be your Big Brother, just like I'm Isi's!"
Rivener overheard this and sat up surprised. He blinked over at the small group, eyes landing on the minty Frei last. Riv was his Big Brother? ...That was... pleasant. A slow smile slid onto Riv's face despite himself. He nodded, and made his decision.
He got up from the sofa and floated closer, smiling still. "Yes, I am your Big Brother," he repeated. It would be fun to help raise someone, Riv thought.

Isi laughed, completely entralled with Eiry' bright innocent behavior. Turning to his brother with excitement, Isi answered Aphi's question, "I learned it when I was doing research on the Yggdrasil Tree. It's Scottish or Gaelic for 'messenger'. I thought it would be a fitting name since it's linked with the Unwithering Leaf of the Yggdrasil tree. I realized it might by a little hard to pronoucne at first, but I'm sure Eiry will grow into it!"
Then, when Isi heard Rivener's comment as he rose up and floated over, the boy felt himself swell even more. Perhaps the scorpian raevan will not shove him off after all or be jealous or anything. They'll be brothers, just like Aphi and him. It was all so wonderful that Isi could hardly keep still. So he shifted himself on his crutches and watched Eiry with wonder.
Eiry, done with his victory parade, floated from Aphi to Isi and then to Rivener, inspecting them all with child-like curiousity. He pressed himself up against Rivener once and tried to say the words 'big brother'. It ended up sounding like 'id dether', but after a couple more tries he was able to say it. Then he wobbled back over to Aphi, said the word 'Uncle', and put his hands on the man's cheeks as if he were taking his temperature. Afer visiting them all, Eiry floated to Isi and buried his head into his shoulder.
Then a thought struck him. If he was supposed to go with this new family, then did that mean he'd have to leave all the 'family'? (He had decided to call them family since he had been with them so long, creating chaos like pyramids of books, hideouts with blankets, and raiding the utensils in RayKit's kitchen to stick them in the grass outside into a line of silver soldiers. He was a creative raevan, one who could manage to make mischief with a handfull of office supplies and string. Everywhere in the backrooms of the lab was one of Eiry's creations, hiding in the corner or stacked up on a table.) Lifting himself up from Isi's shoulder he floated over to Chloe and asked sadly, his red eyes suddenly very swollen, "Loe? Do I have to leave everyone here where they stay, Loe?"

Chloe gave a soft coo, reaching out to lightly cup Eiry's cheeks much as he had Aphismet just moments before. But this was far more maternal, her expression was a little sad but happy as well. "Oh.. n-no, Eiry. L-Lovely. Y-You m-m-m-might live elsewhere b-but we'll a-a-all be right h-here." She motioned around her to the lab.
"A-And.. h-here." She gently placed her fingertip where his heart would be. "I-If you m-miss one of us j-just think of u-us and it'll be like w-we're right there!" She pulled him into one last hug, giving a gentle squeeze before letting go again. "B-Be good for I-Isi and Aphismet, okay?"

Aphismet had chuckled when the minty Frei touched his cheeks. How odd a behavior this one had! He was cute, childish... Really, like a puppy! He watched Eiry go to everyone, and then to Chloe...
Aww, it was so sad. And Chloe was so... so perfect! She was such a kind-hearted person. Aph smiled at her and Eiry sadly. It must be hard for the little Frei to leave. Aph decided they would stop for ice cream on the way home, to make Eiry feel better.
Rivener smiled at the younger Frei when he struggled with the words, helping him out by mouthing the syllables at him wordlessly until he got it right. This Eiry was sickeningly cute, he couldn't make himself hate him. "We'll be just as nice as your family here, don't worry. Besides, we visit often," Riv added, nodding to himself.

Eiry nodded his head at her, but he didn't look so sure. The frei tilted his head and tried to search her face for something that would make the statement concrete. He looked at her sternly and demanded softly, "Heart-Promise?" he put a hand to his nose and then to her nose, "You stay, I be good?"

Chloe gave an indulgent smile, copying his child-like action and touched her nose. "Heart-Promise. I will s-stay. D-Don't worry! I-I'll visit you a-as much as I c-can, okay?"

Hoping Isi wouldn't take this the wrong way, Aphismet placed a hand on his little brother's shoulder, looking at him to see how he was feeling. He might feel a little betrayed that Eiry felt these people were his family too... But then again, Isi was a very mature person so he might be ok. It could go either way.
He offered an encouraging smile to the younger boy nevertheless.

Isi looked up, startled from the sudden touch. When he found that it was Aphi, the boy simply grinned and turned back to watch them excitedly. It seemed like he was fine with it. He felt a little bad for taking Eiry away from the Lab when he had grown so attached. But it couldn't be helped. Besides, it was a good thing. When they came in for check ups it would be easier and Isi felt safe that Eiry had developed bonds with them. In fact, it made him happy to see what Eiry had done while his broken leg was healing.
Eiry nodded, satisfied and then he touched his nose to hers before he turned away and wibble wobbled to Aphi and Eiry and began to inspect them again.
Isi laughed as the frei came back over and he looked over Ry's shoulder at Chloe and asked, "Is that it? Is there anything else we must do to finalize the pickup?
