Chapter 11

“Is Lady Renee alright?” a strange young girl like voice said. Renee looked up to see a girl with short, purple like hair with dark purple bows in her hair and blue eyes. She looked about 12 and she looked adorable. She was wearing a black dress with white cuffs and a white collar. She had black Maryjanes for shoes and had white stockings on. “Is Lady Renee alright?” Renee looked up and stared at the girl. “Oh my you’re pale…and sweaty…it looks like you’ve seen a ghost!” Renee stared at her with a blank expression.
“Who are you…?” Renee said slowly.
“My name is Mika!” Poppy exclaimed.
“…” Renee stared at her.
“Mika assist Renee with cleaning herself up.” Karin walked out of the room without helping Renee. Renee watched her sister leave the room. Renee felt something pulling on her hands from above and saw Mika.
“Come on Lady Renee! Let us clean you up!” Mika said with a smile.
“Huh?” Renee asked while getting herself up.
“Let’s take a bath!” Mika said running for the bathroom upstairs like a little child with her arms extended.
“Who the heck is she?” Renee asked herself. Renee walked to the stairs and got to the bathroom to see Mika running hot water and bubbles while getting her clothes off. “Oh jeez…”
“I hope the water isn’t to hot for you Lady Renee!” Mika said while turning off the water when the bathtub was full.
“I’ll be fine…and just call me Renee…” Renee said getting her clothes off. Mika hopped in splashing a bit off water. Renee got all of her clothes off and put her foot in and jumped back. Renee grabbed a towel. “Mika that’s freezing! It’s barely even warm!” Renee shrieked.
“Really?” Mika picked up some of the water in her hands but the water ran out. “I…I…can’t…feel it…” Mika said staring at her hands while the water sparkled in the light.
“W-what? You…you can’t feel it?” Renee asked in a disbelieving voice. “Was she…born without a sense of touch and feeling?”
“I could never feel anything…only happiness has been put into me, I’m not yet complete…” Mika looked up at Renee.
“Not yet…complete?” Renee said moving a bit closer.
“Do you want me to run the water on hot then?” Mika asked with a smile on her face and draining the water.
“Wait Mika!” Renee said turning her head towards hers. “What do you mean that you’re not complete?” Mika looked around with that smile still on her face.
“It means I can’t feel anything I touch or feel all the emotions you feel like anger or sadness. Only happiness has been put into me. Mama is still working on me! Soon I’ll be a regular human instead of an experimental dummy! I can’t wait!” Mika said continuing to drain the water.
“Mama…Mama?! Why do you call Karin your Mama?!” Renee said giving her a confused look.
“Since she made me I call her Mama. She says its fine all call her Mama since I’m an experiment she has been working on. She says I’m one of a kind. My Mama loves me!” Mika had drained all the water and started to turn the water on again, this time on warm.
“She doesn’t even know…she might die if she is a failed experiment…she can’t even feel what love is…why does she think Karin loves her?” Renee wondered as she got in the bath after it was half full. Mika poured in more bubbles and when she felt like she had enough bubbles and turned off the water.
“Do you like bubbles…Renee?” Mika asked turned to her.
“Yes…” Renee said as she was her hair and her body. Mika sat there playing with the bubbles. “Aren’t you going to wash your body?”
“Wash…? I don’t know how to wash myself…” Mika said continuing to play with the bubbles.
“Here.” Renee started to wash her hair, looking closely to see if her purple hair was real. Then she washed her body like she was a small child. Mika giggled when Renee scrubbed under her arms. Renee giggled also when Mika started acting like a small child at times then started to act like a big kid. After their bath they took a shower to clean off the bubbles and stepped out. Mika dried herself off and put her clothes back on. “Don’t you get new clothes?”
“This is all I own!” Mika said putting her shoes back on and walking for the door. Renee put on a big towel and headed for her room. She watched Mika run down the hall and into Karin’s room with her arms extended again.
“Why do I feel this emotion for her…?” Renee asked herself when she got dressed and was drying her hair. “She can’t feel, she thinks Karin loves her and she calls her Mama. She’s an experiment and she is a dummy.” Renee was on her bed hugging her pillow. “I know she can only feel happiness but…doesn’t she just turn off that emotion? Why…why do I pity her…? I can’t help but to…”
