"Positive? Cause we could go back home right now, yanno, an like, watch some TV or somethin. Catch a movie. Yeah?"

"Fine, fine...."
A car door creaked opened, and out stepped a rather short, scruffy-looking demon. In one hand she held a pair of car keys, complete with several bangles and the colorful stretchy twine of plastic so common amongst all keyrings; in the other hand, she held wrinkled, but still legible, card in the shape of a cartoon birthday cake. What the hell business could she have at a beach house?
Hiking her jeans up, she scurried down the small path and up the smaller steps, reaching the front door and casting a suspecious gaze about. Deciding no one saw her, the demon placed the birthday card in the minute space between the doorframe and the door. When everything was situated, with the card crammed in at an awkward angle, she rang the doorbell several times, turned, and bolted down the walkway and back into her car.
The first (or last?) thing that the door-opener would see would be the rear bumper of a rather junky car speeding down the street, excess amounts of exhaust and smoke billowing from all the wrong places.Cheesy Hallmark Birthday Cake Card You are cordially invited to celebrate the first birthday of Ilistala Infriti on July 20th, 2006.
