My newest piece: My Avie Headshot. http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/50746279/
NOTE: Quick sketch, quick coloring. The crappyness of the coloring is on purpose lol. I was too bored and couldn't wait for my tablet gonk
Ummm... about my SD fullbody avie, guess I'm gonna have to re-do it now xD Since I changed her look whee

Very cute. The thing I would like to mention is the colour choices for the shading, choose completely seperate colours than the bases for the shadows, usually the complimentary works.
Check out Tirael's mentor thread...somewhere toward the last few pages is an awesome colour theory tutorial

Awesome, you keep getting better and better. My only crit is don't be afraid of contrast! It's especially lacking on the skin right now, it'll make things feel more real and pop more. Otherwise excellent job ^_^

I have to say, I love that you're using a limited colour palette in this one. I would suggest more yellow or orange in the background so we don't lose the lass. Your contrast is better in this one ^_^ My only other suggestion is to throw down a shadow under her, right now she's floating, a shadow will help ground her and make the piece look more finished. But awesome job ^_^

Oooh, that's a good idea, didn't think of using more orange or yellow instead. I was too blind x________x
And that too yeah, hehe, her shadow x__________x Have to work on that too, otherwise all of my characters will be floating around >_>
Thank you!!! 4laugh heart

Cute as ever. Just watch, her pose seems a bit slanted, she looks off-balance. And I'd like to see a tiny bit more definition in her ankles. Otherwise, you're doing well, your contrast is certainly getting better.

I agree with giving her ankles more definition. I dunno why I'm usually scared to do that... it's like unconsciouly I'm scared of making her legs in a whole look bad or something x___________X
Which is weird.
I think the same thing happened with this new one too!

You're doing well with what you do, vast improvements and all that. But you're not pushing yourself much in these past few. I wanna challenge you to try some new poses, A few sitting, a few different angles.
