Trina cried out again, feeling the blue marks forming on her skin, pulsing from the wound. She knew she was going to be in trouble...Just hold on...I can hold on... She struggled to get her wrist loose, when the next twist made her eyes flash blue for a moment. The blade had touched her lung, the large organ filling most of her torso. If is was punctured, she might lose control, would revert, and kill them all, maybe going crazy for another hundred years. No!!! Not that! Not my friends! Her eyes rimmed in blue, Trina felt the rush of half melting snow but didn't see it until it broadsided the man above her, knocking him off. His sword was still in her stomach. Trina gripped it and pulled it out painfully, then rammed it through his thigh, staking him to the ground. She then rose shakily, one wing flared behind her, and tried to charge the arrow shooter.

The arrow earned him a grazed cheek, but he ignored it as his grip tightened on the guard's shoulder. His teeth pierced the man's chest and blood pooled out. He didn't care about the red liquid as he extracted a silvery substance that almost glowed. He drank it all like a nursing infant. When he was finished, the guards expression was blank and empty, but still living. Baizou rested his hand over the wound and made it grow, making the guards skin split like a loose seem. His muscles and ribs were exposed and he would soon die. The catboy let him drop the ground and saw that Trina was injured. Deciding they were too outnumbered, "We need to go home."

Trina just stopped, seeing the others coming towards them. She felt dizzy, desperately trying to maintain control as her lifes liquid spilled out of her abdomen wound. Baizou had said something to her, and she turned slightly to blink at him. She had not been able to catch it.

The archer fled back behind the approaching group of reinforcements. The spear wielder writhed in agony as he died painfully, and the sword wielder struggled to remove the blade from his leg.

"Trina! We need to go home!" Baizou called to her again, moving his hand to his injured arm. The pain was starting to set in and he could feel Ukaia's emotions calm.

Trina nodded dumbly, not really able to expand thought on it. She did at least have the prescense of mind to remember the fence, and turned back around, her hnad flat on air. The fence reappeared, then another as Trina slipped up. They had to leave...Ukaia... Trian turned back around, walking a bit funny, one wing still behind her. She pressed her hand to her armor, and it was replaced with a new one, letting her 'bleed' in concealment. "Yes...as you say it is so..." She said, walking briskily forward, coming to his side. "Are you okay?" She asked, though the words were slow, as if it was taking a lot of effort. She also seemed very distracted, then again, she was fighting off her body's natural instincts.

"I fared much better than you did." Baizou replied. The farther they walked, the less he could feel Ukaia. He was calming down and his magical eye was fading. "We should be all right if we hurry home."

The guards rushed towards the area of the skirmish, mostly moving to treat the injured and dying guards, but plenty moved to force Trina and Baizou back.

Trina merely nodded. "Mmhm..." Though she didn't know what he was saying, it was comforting and gave her something to focus on, other than the fear that was eating away at her control. It was tempting to simply let go of the control, but she knew that wasn't what she realy wanted...just instincts. "I'm sorry..." She murmured, hand on her abdomen.

"Why?" Baizou asked bluntly. "I hate that word. It is either inappropriate to the situation or inadequate." He told her, speeding his pace up. If she were to reply to him, he probably wouldn't say anything back. He didn't feel very talkative or intellectual at the moment. He looked up and saw that the Muffin was quite close.

Trina shrugged. "I did not mean to anger you...but I feel useless...I have failed a task." He was too fast now, she was looking at his back. Well fine. She was disappointed too...she wanted to bring Ukaia back...wanted to quit failing her friends... A jolt of pain reminded her of the amount of 'blood' she was losing, and she stumbled before regaining her balance, hoping against hope she could make it to her room...((Switch forums?))

"Yeah, we did." was all Baizou said as he headed for the door. He reached out with his uninjured arm and pulled it open to let her in.

The dead guard was buried, the injured taken to the hospital, and the archer questioned about what happened. Soon they had the fence replaced and composite sketches of both Trina and Baizou up around town, labeling them as dangerous criminals.
