I must admit, I didn't get it at first, but once I understood the concept, it actually helps a lot... because when you try drawing a 'hand' you assume you already know what the shape is. But, by simply concentrating on the lines themselves, you'll get something that actually looks decent instead of your own interpretation/mental image of a hand... not to be any more confusing than I am... I get the feeling this explanation didn't help in the least xp
