Apologies for the Necro, but I just discovered a great mix - Hot Cocoa with a splash of Godiva Liqueur.
I don't like the burning sensation of teh liquor going down the throat(which is odd, seeing as my love of "face meltingly hot" salsa's as my Wife puts it), so I never gained a love of anything straight or most mixed drinks, except for Rum and Whiskey.
But with this, the taste of the alcohol is almost completely absorbed by the Milk, and it accentuates the taste of the Chocolate beautifully.

My favorite drink is an Island Tea, not to be confused with a Long Island. It's simply vodka, lemonade, and a splash of grenadine. I spent a Spring Break at a beach house with my best friends, and we were drinking those all week long...
Instead of Rum & Coke, I often drink rum with Dr. Pepper. It compliments the rum flavor much better, in my opinion.
When there's a blender handy, I also love a good Strawberry Daiquiri. When I was a kid, my family would go to Panama City Beach once every summer, and we'd go to Captain Anderson's restaurant one time while we were there. My mom would always order virgin Strawberry Daiquiris for my sister and I. One time, when I was like 12, the bartender didn't realize they were for kids, and included the rum... xd
As for beer, I only started drinking it about a year ago, and I had to train myself to like it. razz I started with light Mexican beers, generally a Sol, because I could add a lime and tell myself it wasn't beer. I then progressed to Hefeweizens, and recently started enjoying a good ale.
My favorite bottled drinks are Sweetwater Blue (a beer brewed right here in Atlanta with a hint of blueberries), Mike's Hard Lemonade, Woodchuck Raspberry Cider, and Smirnoff Arctic Berry. Mmm!
So, um, yes. I do drink. biggrin

Kamikaze for me or a Viper, I really don't like beer, I always liked alcohol. You know TEQUILA, Vodka and well a few mixed drinks. You know living in a military town I had one heck of a alcohol tolerance. I don't think I can do as much anymore though.

i have the college student mentality when it comes to alcohol. put it in front of me and i'll drink it. doesn't mean i'll like it, but it will go down my throat.

lunar_kit2 Speaking of drinks, who drunk last night? NO me crying I did. biggrin It was homecoming here at GT, so I spent the evening with my boyfriend's fraternity (which has basically been the epicenter of my social life for the last four years, even though he only joined two years ago--we knew before that, long story...). We went to Taco Mac (a wings and sports bar place with 100 beers on tap), then to a microbrewery/restaurant where they'd rented out the whole top floor. I love homecoming because all of my alumni friends are all in the same place again. 3nodding
I split a pitcher of Sweetwater Blue with a friend at TMac, then had two beers at the microbrewery, a Hefeweizen and an Octoberfest. So not crazy-drinkin', but enough to have a plenty good time with some old friends.

Vodka on the rocks for me.
Unless the place I go to (like last night) has specials.
$1.50 margaritas last night, I had 3 or 4, I don't remember.
And a steak! RARE
