see with this I can feild my Drop Troops and Armoured Company at teh same time bridging the gap with a Baneblade. I also bodes well that after I got back from this year long "buisness trip" that I planned to indulge myself by buying a large space wovles army and having it painted
I know their was concept art but the Stompa in medusa was a custom job. Im not even sure if it was GW who made it. But I read the forum in which the construction was detailed.
Maybe with this release my friend will drag out the Warlord Titan

I got word on an official rule for imperial guard, that a GW employee "who's also a really good friend" that a squad of basilisks can hold up to 10 each, so that means you can have more than 30 basilisks in a single army!
Also, that they will be selling boxes of 3 basilisks for 100$ Canadian
when the codex comes out "i'm gonna reserve a copy at the local GW" many friends, and I will be having a massive 40k game "so far we have 7 people, point limit is yet undetermined, but will be more than 4,000" shal last well more than 2 days, and the battlefield itself will encomplish more than 2 rooms.

I play Orks anyway.
How large are the scale games going to be. I thought it was for armies over 4000 points, but all the way up to 20,000 point games? I guess you would have to team up with a few people to get it up that high.
Are Orks really getting the Stompa Gargants from this codex, or is it just rumors?

Codex: Apocalypse is supposed to be games of 3,000+ it's like supplemental rules to make the games more interesting. And yes, 20,000 point games would have to be done with alliances and such (or multiple force organization charts)

Well it's about 100 quid for no even 1 full force organisation chart, so...including the cost of super-heavies, it could end up being at least £5000 spent in total, including hobbying gubbins like paints and hiring a room big enough to fit about 10000 men in it.

-Mykal well, that's the reason they're making the plastic superheavies, so that its a bitt more effordable "and make more sales, with more profit margin per sale..." also, the 3 basilisk box set also sounds good, because it's only a few quid more than 2 basilisks. ohh... and the box for the plastic baneblade.. it's gonna be the same size as the battle for macragee box.

Why not just play Epic? If I wanted to play bigger games, that's what I'd do. I play 40k for the smaller battles.

Jake the Kitty Why not just play Epic? If I wanted to play bigger games, that's what I'd do. I play 40k for the smaller battles. Some folks would rather invest in one game instead of two. Some folks would rather paint one army instead of two. Some folks might prefer the mechanics of 40k compared to Epic. Some folks might simply have an army that large and want to play with it. Finally, some folks might just prefer to play games that other people still play. 3nodding

plus it gets fun when entire gaming club gathers to do mega-battle, with pizzas ordered, and charging gleefuly into teeth of bigger guns than usual (or firing gleefully bigger guns than usual)

Rumors can be misleading. Personally I have no opinion on Epic, I don't know enough about it, but really all I'm interested in is the main game.
