I heard this great quote not too long ago that I felt people should apply tot he third HP movie. "Never judge a book by the movie". sweatdrop Though I'll probably go see the fourth out of pure loyalty.

Yeah...I don't have high hopes for the movie but I'm gonna' go see it anyway because I have to. I'm actually looking forward to it. I like those movies even if they don't really follow the books that closely.

Oblivion12 I was looking forward to the movie, I heard it was really good. Recently, though, I've heard that it's not gonna be all that great... I don't care, I KNOW I've seen worse movies, and this one will be good, even if it's just to be able to say that I've seen it. Still gonna like it. smile OH, anyone know the news on the badguy? Yeah, there's a badguy. He wasn't even in the books, but he WAS created by Douglas Adams. It's information like this that make me wonder how it's going to turn out. I know what you mean about bad movies. I have seen some horrible ones in my day...You ever hear of the book Fahrenheit 451? Well...they made a movie out of it... for your own sake, don't see it. Anyway, I know nothing of this "new villain" of which you speak...not for Harry Potter, anyway...do you mean for the Hitchhiker's Guide movie? ...

[ Rassay ] I really hope they dont leave out a bunch of important things out of the movie, becuase thats what they did with some of the stuff in the third movie stressed I know. I was severely disappointed in the third movie. I know they'll have to cut some stuff out of the fourth movie, in order to keep the time somewhere under, oh...12 hours, but I hope they don't leave out or change anything I'm really looking forward to. That's what really irritated me about the third movie. >_O;

Hey, if there are any serious RPers in here, all members of this guild are invited to join:
 I had a look at it, and it appears to be a very extensive and well organized RP. 3nodding

But that's just because I don't usually buy movies unless they're REALLY really good, and I really want to be able to watch them when ever I damned well please. I'm much more excited about the sixth book coming out next month. xd

starrgirrl S. Snape I hope the fourth movie turns out well. I was pretty dissatisfied with the third movie. They left out a lot of stuff that I considered to be pretty important... I know exactly what you mean. The third book is my favorite book and needless to say I was very dissatisfied. *frowns* I wasn't entirely disappointed about the third movie ( and the third book is my fav becuase Sirius kicks in), yeah I was angry at how Remus turned out to be but at the end accepted him, it's wasn't exactly the image I have of him. The atmosphere of the movie was awesome though, I bit more creepy thatn the book was supposed to. The dementors were awesome. I heard people saying Alfonso should had make the fifth one intead the third one since the fifth book involves more mystery. Then again Alfonso changed the childish face of the character in previous movies. I heard he went to few british school and observe the teenagers, how they dress and all, and not all of them were tidy like the first two movie, beside you heard what Tonks says when she see the dursley's tidy house and Harry's messy room "ah that's much better" Means wizards aren't tidy and organized people. sweatdrop I can say that the third one and what we had seen from the forth one looks magical thatn the first two. I liked Alfonso's touches on each scene. He placed so many detail, felings, mystery in each scene that Colombus lacked of. So we can easyly differe Alfonso's and Colombus's work. The firt two were ok, but I found them rushy and I dunno I felt like there was something missing. (And it's not details from the book that they cut.) I can point that Colombus did a mistake to where he placed the Woomping Willow. Alfonso asked J.K Rowling for a map of the Hogwarts Grounds before working with the scenario, castle, lake and even the Woomping willow. I liked the third one because the atmosphere of the ground was more faifthful to the book. Hogwarts is much more than a castle with bricks and Alfonso added the touch Colombus was missing. And we'll see more of it in the fourth one. 3nodding Hopefully. And maybe I'll end up liking the fourth one or continue to like the third one (each time I see it, I can fee myself at hogwarts and just make me want to write stories, the other two did not gave me that feeling) wink

If I hadn't known better when I saw the movie, I would have thought that the events of the movie took place within the span of a week instead of over an entire school year. I actually got the sense that time was passing if the fist two movies. Also, I wished the third movie had contained more about the Marauders. All coverage on that aspect seemed pretty sparse to me.

I don't know if the Marauders were in the third book as much as the fourth and fifth. Lupin and Sirius didn't tell much about James and Wormtail, if I remember correctly. *shrug* Just an poinion, I gues.
