((hhmmm back to roleplay you say? XP))
poke mentally groaned when hadus remarked about taking care of the egg. While there was nothing wrong with it and the egg would surely grow up to be strong in their care, the idea of another drill sargent with an alter ego did not sound appealing. Meanwhile it appeared kameko's boyfriend was more interested in nuzzling and protecting then what was actually happening right now. Though kameko didn't really seem worried. Poke wondered exactly how she could stomach it.
She also noticed, another kyn and it's rider nearby leaning on the kyn. She wondered if she was feeling alright. "excuse me?" she asked. "are you ok over there?"

Aedan as well as Minya watched as the egg was transferred from Nicky's paws to that of her kyn's claws. Almost as soon as Kori had the egg, it seemed to pulse lightly, followed quickly by the small dragonfly shuddering its wings. Aedan kept his eyes on the egg as Minya spoke.
"There's a good chance that it isn't a kyn as we know it. It might be something entirely different, or maybe not a kyn at all." She paused, tail tip twitching lightly.

"whatever it is, I can't wait to see it hatch!" though the most interesting thing that she could note, is the little dragonfly on-top of the egg which suddenly started moving. It did reminds her of cocokotrice eggs, which needed frogs to hatch them. Perhaps it was something like that? She also wondered if she should ask about this incase someone might know

If computers existed, and Draconis had been sitting at one, typing on the internet, she would have written "*headdesk*". Everyone around her were asking questions that just seemed so obvious, and yet she was still caught up in the theoretical aspect of all this. Then she noticed that the only Kyns who also hadn't caught on to the obtuse were... her own.
"Erm, are Kyns limited by those who dream them?" she asked out loud, hesitantly, well aware that she would most likely not be answered. Draconis thought about it. Kragen's fluancy with words... were all words that she had in her own vocabulary. Magnus was very much Canadian, and Draconis herself heralded from that very same country. Veigh acted like the typical teenaged girl, something that Draconis had a lot of experience with, and... well... It was all there, wasn't it? Then Draconis realized again she was missing the whole point of being here.
"Oh," said Draconis, belatedly pointing something out to Taku. "You're technically a dragon, so yeah, you're a reptile... I guess..." She looked questioningly at her own Lunar, before finally deciding she had a headache.
Veigh suddenly curved her spine, reaching to feel her belly with her own claws. "Schnurrbart," she said, unable to hide a note of excitement. "I have to go." It looked like she had eaten a full meal, her belly being a sight swollen. But aside from a little bump, it didn't much show. The Japanese righted herself, then threw herself into the sky, rushed and hurried.

Schnurrbart looked up, slightly confused. "Luff?" He turned to watch her helplessly. "Veigh!" He spread his wings and leapt after her, but he couldn't get altitude the way she could, and she was out of sight in just moments in her rush. "I haff to go... I need to vind her!" he called to his brother, and then he began to rush into the sky to try and get back to the Amorphous lands. He could only hope she was going to Neu Deutschland, rather than her home. He didn't know if he'd be able to catch up to her if he had to go through her extremely dangerous exterior wall.

Kiko had curled her tail protectively around Ninja, nudging with her nose between her rider's shoulderblades in concern. Myrrh, still cuddled near to Magnus, arched her head over closer to her human, a slight rumble of disquiet in her chest. Blinking a few more times, Ninja's eyes creased into their customary mouthless smile. Patting Kiko's flank and Myrrh's nose reassuringly, she looked up to locate whoever had spoken to her. "Aye, 'm fine, thanks. Jus' a bit of a headache. Prolly from all these new facts, yeah?"
The solemnity that had come over the Kyn owner earlier had vanished, wiped away. She was back to her regular self. Still, though, something rankled at the back of her mind. The bolt of not-quite-fire that had torn through her head...She wasn't given to seeing things, nor to migranes. Plus it had looked, even felt so real, illuminating the darkest and dustiest corners of her mind. She shrugged the feeling away, though. Now wasn't the time for thinking of such things. Vaulting back up onto Kiko's shoulder, Ninja raised her voice again to that not-quite-yelling tone to be heard. She glanced at Myrrh next to Draco Magnus, and just caught a fleeting look at Veigh shooting off, followed by Schnurrbart. "Well, then, will this egg-stone be hatchin' now, with all of us standing about? 'Cause if not p'raps we should all take a moment to mull over what we've jus' learned, rather 'n askin' questions we might already be able t' answer." She dropped her voice just a tad. "After all, we are jus' gettin' off of Valentine's Day, yeah? Plenty of young lovers what want to fly off and have some time together."

"oh..erm ya welcome.." well, she seemed fine at least? "and yeah, it's quite alot to think about. The powers of creation and all"
The flying pairs of dragons had suddenly caught pokes attention as well, and she raised an eye at their actions. This really was weird...
"Well I'm curisous about this new species and all, so I'm gonna hang around a bit mroe to see what else I can find out. Mabye there is more of these somewhere?"
Taku felt quite sure that he wasn't a scaly dragon like toroth or kichi, however he could breathe fire so it was..quite confusing. The couple that flew away though made him think about the hole valentimes affairs.

Kori brought the egg inquisitively up to her nose, peering down at it. "... It did?"

"Di'n't mean to say we all should leave," Ninja said, looking over her shoulder at Poke. "Jus' that we're askin' silly questions we might arready know the answers to, an' repeatin' ourselves. We just need t' take a sec'nd t' be quiet an' think is all." She smiled again, a tad embarrassed. "Beg pardon 'f I wa'n't clear."

Aedan seemed more interested in what it was that Ninja had to say above everyone else. Perhaps there was a ray of hope in all of this, despite her earlier behavior. It was slim, and mostly stemmed from Minya's optimism at not repeating past failures. But at the very least it was there. His attention, however, was soon moved back to the egg in Kori's claws.
Minya's tail tip flickered again, and she raised her head up to peer over everyone in the crowd once more. "Where there's one, there's soon to be more. It's just how things work around here. And-"
But Minya's words were silenced at the sight before her. The little egg was shaking now, as if whatever it was was just beneath the hard shell, pushing to be let out. These actions crawled on for a few moments, with Minya and Aedan and Paige's entire clan seeming to hold their breath. And then, in one too-quick instant, the dragonfly leapt from the egg's exterior and the shell tumbled apart.
A small green-skinned creature, dwarfed in one of Kori's clawed hands and smaller even than Paige's shoulder dragon, Hakuryu, and his offspring, was left exposed to the air and sun for the first time. It's hide was wet and dripping, tiny partially luminescent wings crumpled and equally moist. It gave a small sneeze, curling a tail that was too large for its small body around itself and staring up and out at all the faces. The dragonfly fluttered about around it, intent on not settling down it seemed. Perhaps it was encouraging the other to take flight, though from the proportions of its body it appeared that that was an impossibility at this age.
"A baby..."((Baby and egg lineart made by Waarufu with antennae and wing edits on baby done by Kahyou, as well as tail movement. Concept created by Waarufu. Concept pose for adult done by Waarufu, edited to perfection by Kahyou (wings, antennae, arms and legs details). Yes, this means I actually did some major linearting. Hadus slipped around to look, then lay down in front of the little one. The warm scales of his snout and his black, heat-absorbing mane might certainly look like a wonderful place for a tiny dragon to clean and dry and warm itself, though Hadus' intention was merely to examine the tiny creature.
Ganon smiled and nudged Nicky. "You know, I think Hadus likes being the father of young kyn. He always seems a little disappointed when the nest is empty."

Ninja turned quickly back to Kori and the egg-stone, but too late to see it actually hatch. A glimmer of something emerald-hued caught her attention, but was quickly blotted out by the seeking eyes of other kyns and trainers. Straining on her own tiptoes, the human halfway turned her head to the princess kyn. "Oy, Kiko, gimme a lift, please?"
The Japanese obliged, sitting up rather like a rabbit. One arm wrapped around her kyn's sinuous neck for balance, the rider leaned out to see, squinting. It was a tiny thing...But then, the form of the body seemed to click, fitting to a picture she had once seen a friend draw, just for the heck of it. What had her friend named the creature? Ah, she remembered now.
"...Kageroryu?"
Kiko glanced down at her rider. The kyn's vision was better than the human's, so she could see the hatchling better.
"Butterfly-dragon?"

Draconis, as well as Twi and Kragen, were entranced by the hatching, just as they'd be of any hatching. After all, it was a baby, a real, living thing just coming into the world, and nothing was more magical than that. And when it was revealed... The Rider couldn't stop herself.
"Oh my God!" she exclaimed. She wanted to say it was pretty/beautiful/cute/marvelous/awesome/OHMYGAWD, but instead she gawked. "Can- Can I hold it? I love babies... Oh, wait..." She was still holding the egg that came from the plant.
Speaking of babies... She knew that Veigh had a love interest. Where was she? And what of Kragen? Draconis looked at her vampire-like gargoyle, who was whispering to Alys. It seemed as though they had been in conversation, and the hatching interrupted it. The little red Kyn looked at Qwerrty, fluttered her feathered wings and giggled, then whispered something in Kragen's ear. He said something back, and watched as Alys scooted off behind the ankle-winged Lunar, and then jumped on his back.
"I gotcha!" she shouted in her tiny voice.

"AHH!" yelled qwerrty in his loudest voice. mamejen sighed and looked behind her to see what was scaring qwerrty.
qwerrty said "oh, alys!" as he jumped on top of her playfully.
