A small group of five soldiers lead Garret outside of New Pheonix. His hands were tied behind his back and he was being pushed forward by a soldier prodding him with his gun. The headed away from the city, in the direction of the battlefield.
Once they were about a hundred yards from the front gate of the city, they arrived at a small hill. They climbed to the top and there were five wooden poles sticking out of the ground, about 7 feet tall. Three of the soldiers stood ten feet away from the poles and the other two tied Garret to the middle pole. He looked around at the other poles, which were stained a deep red on their lower halves. He sighed and looked at the soldiers tying him up. One tied a blindfold around his head, and the last thing he saw was the other three soldiers loading and checking their weapons.

Garret could hear the guards murmuring about executions and how they liked to be able to rid the world of someone who was once a super. Garret tilted his head down, even though he couldn't see. He then felt a guard grab his hair and slam the back of his head into the pole. The Guard tied a rope around his forehead and the pole so his face looked towards the firing squad.
"We'll want to see your face the split second between the time you hear the shots and the time you die." a sadistic voice came. Garret could hear the footsteps walking away, and then heard the same voice ask if everyone was ready. There were murmurs of yes, and they were told to check their weapons to make sure they were working properly, so each guard shot into the sky. Garret flinched a little, not being able to see the guards made him slightly uneasy. He wouldn't be scared if he could see them, but for some reason knowing he was going to die, and not seeing their faces unnerved him.

Garret tensed as he heard the same sadistic voice say "Alright, fire on my mark."
There was a short pause that seemed like an eternity. "Ready..."
Another eternal pause...
"Aim..."
A final pause....

At the last minute there was a bright light, blinding the guards. In the middle of it someone teleported to Garret's side, and then teleported the both of them out of the firing range.

"FIRE!" The voice shouted, and all five guns went off right before the flash of light. Once they regained their site, the looked at the pole to see Garret was not there. Awed, shocked, and afraid of the General's response, they slowly marched back to town.

They were teleported right outside the city, and the girl who saved him was wearing a dark green cloak, her features hidden in the shade of the cloak. "Garret Erickson, your life has been spared, but this is not a free gift. We will call on this debt in the future, be ready for it." In a quick moment she was gone, and Garret was left alone outside the pheonix city.

"Who the ******** is we?" He asked aloud after she dissapeared. "And who the ******** are you?" He asked, sighing. "And how the hell did you know where I was?" He grumbled. He glanced at the city again. Pure energy was within those walls...and it could get him his powers back. First, he needed to visit an old...'friend'.

A bird flew over Garret's head, and considered dropping some baggage....but decided to be nicer, considering he just got out of an execution and all.

The cloaked girl who had saved Garret moved into the city, her features still shaded. The scans that searched for supers within the city came up blank, she had made precautions, and she was there for one reason alone, to place the pieces, the pieces that would come into play. She moved past a robot guard and her hand moved to the hilt of her hidden dagger, stroking the carved ebony with the temptation to strike the abomination down. But she resisted, and moved her hand away, only a slight rustling of the cloak evidence to her violent thoughts. There was a soft buzzing against her ear and out from her cloak crawled a small green wasp. The glassy wings shuttered briefly as it took perch on top her shoulder.

((For the incomplete attack made by the Supers we will just say that AoH took some casualties and there where some KIAs and that AoS took casualties and eventually retreated... and AoH thinks that AA made the attack... So says me...))

The General walks down the main street of New Phoenix his metal feet clank loudly with each of his steps two squads of SEUs follow behind. He watches the people he works to keep protected go about their daily business.

Garret arrived at the city and waited for Erica. He looked up and down at the walls and sighed. "This sucks..." He muttered. "I wish I had my powers..." He turned around and looked at her. "I believe now is where you come in."
