((True statement, MF. Shenanigans! mrgreen What's Super Troopers?))

A.C.'s eyes narrowed angrily. The super she'd been following had shifted his pace and turned down an alley across the street from her. From her side of the street, there was no possible way to see where he went or follow him.

Or was there? For now he was coming back out, continuing on his way as if nothing had happened. But was that normal? That shift in pace... her mentor had taught her that people did that when something was wrong, when they thought of something important all of a sudden or became aware of something dangerous in their surroundings... such as a tailer. And really, who ducks into an alley except to either 1) face off with someone following them or 2) get out of view long enough to lose their tail?

This wasn't right.

Instead of following Dresdeth's illusion, she moved up a few streets and crossed on the ground, climbing back up into the buildings as soon as she could without being too suspicious. Crossing the street was a risk, but she had to know what was with that alley. Had he left something there? Had a body double taken his place on the street to throw off pursuit? It took her 20 minutes to get back down the road and over that alley, by which point the illusionary Dresdeth was long gone, but she didn't care about that. Lesson number one of breaking an illusion--assume it's a trick, and don't look where they want you to. Because sometimes the truth is in plain sight, if only you look.

Terra Vulpes

Terra walked along the sides of buildings, hoping to bump into someone so that she could find her way to the AoS HQ. She was chewing on bubblegum and blowing big pink bubbles, not realizing that the buildings were crumbling and that it was dangerous to walk right beside them.

Up on a nearby rooftop several soldiers move into place, headed by James Blake. He was wearing his super-detecting goggles and looking down into the street. He turned to the soldiers. There were 6 of them. "You two, move down to the street level. One come from the left, one from the right."

The two soldiers nodded, and moved down into position. James turned to the other four. "To of you move to the rooftop opposite this one." They nodded and moved. Finally, he looked at the two remaining. "Take cover somewhere, and watch for my signal." The remaining soldiers moved into the building, and took thier position at windows a few floors above the street. James removed his goggles and looked down at the supers.

((I'll have no more of your shenanigans! domokun ))

Dres moves out of his shady hiding spot and walks to the edge of the alleyway. He takes a quick look around the turns left and goes about his buisness like normal.

Dres was confronted with a Conscripted Soldier. He pointed the energy rifle at Dres. "Put your hands up and come with me." The soldier ordered.

"Bad idead very bad idea..." His sword seems to just appear in his hand as he slashes up to hack off the barrel of the rifle. His arm moves in a dizzying blur the motions too fast to fully catch to the slow human eyes. "I'd rather you not point that thing at me."

The soldier looked at the gun, and his mouth dropped. He fell backwards and pulled out his radio. "I-in the allyway! Help me out here!" He then activated his power null field. "Your in trouble!"

Dres was on the soldier and noticed he wasn't moving as fast as he should be "Power null... This is gonna turn out bad...." he thrusts his sword down towards the soldier hoping to silence him quick and hopefully escape.

By this time there were two more soldiers in the allyway, along with James. He looked at Dres. "Have fun boys" He said with a grin. "Fire at will."

The two other soldiers fired at Dres, while the one on the ground was stabbed. He swore and stood up and then lunged for Dres, trying to keep hold on him for the others.

Dres found himself between a rock and a hard place as the soldiers fired t him he brought his sword up in an attempt to deflect a few of the rounds only to find them burning right through his sword and into himself or just missing his weak defense all together. Dres starts to drop to one knee only to be grabed by the soldier he stabbed in the shoulder. "Looks like I'm done for..." he says and drops his sword while struggleing to break free or position the wounded soldier to use as a shield

((Oh yeah by the way the null field lasts for two posts after its been activated so you got one more post for the null field))
