Sighing as he looked down at his stuff he ran a hand through his still wet hair which caused half of it to be slicked back, the other half still fell over his face like always. "Great..." He muttered before he set to grabbing all of his stuff that had some how managed to get scattered. After stuffing everything back into his bottomless pit of a bag Dante grabbed six pokeballs, one being empty. Looking down at the cat who was still sleeping Dante felt a slight hint of annoyance. "Wake up lazy bones no more sleep for you." He said as he grabbed the cat.
Meowth for his part gave an indignant squack and glared at Dante. "Thats not nice you know. Waking someone up while they are sleeping."
"Yeah well you took up half the couch last night." He countered as he headed over to the cafeteria/kitchen. "What do you want for breakfast?" He asked as they stepped inside.
"Waffles, lots and lots of waffles." Meowth said desicivly.
Sighing Dante grabbed a plate and filled it with Waffles for Meowth before sending him off to find a place to sit. Grabbing a peice of toast and spreading lots of peanut butter on it Dante stuck that in his mouth. Now with his hands free he grabbed five bowls and the appopriate food for each of his pokemon.
Meanwhile Meowth had found the tense air around Keegan's table. "Ummm... You all ok? The cat asked as he jumped up onto a chair not bothering to ask if it was ok to sit there. Grabbing a fork the cat cut through a peice of waffle and happily ate it. "Ho' yoush read' fo' you're gym batlch." He said with a mouthfull of delicious waffle. As soon as he finished his sentance he was hit over the head by Dante who had sucessfully made it over.
Taking the peanut butter toast out of his mouth he said in a repremanding tone. "Dont talk with your mouthful." On the floor each of Dante's pokemon were eatting there meal, though Kenny had ditched his wondered over to Dante and took the peanut butter toast from him deciding to eat that instead.

((Actually it's Bugsy's turn. The last thing that happened was Aska landed in front of Bugsy, and Kakuna couldn't attack unless he wanted to risk hitting Bugsy, so he had Kakuna use Harden. After that, Aska acted on her own and used a Gust attack on Kakuna. 3nodding ))
Jaeshan arrived in front of the doors of Vermilion Gym, looking at the squat building with determination. "This is it," he told Torchic, who tilted her head back and forth, chirping quietly. "You're a bit too little to participate in this battle," he told her sadly, "but hopefully we can change that by the time we're ready to head back to Celadon to take on Erika." Torchic seemed happy enough with that response, making slight clicking noises with her beak. Jaeshan took a deep breath and pushed open the brass doors (the replacements were unnoticeable) and stepped inside. It was as he remembered it; rows upon rows of trashcans, and somewhat lit. He spotted a few of Surge's subordinates milling about, a few he remembered defeating with Ryka not too long ago. He straightened himself up to his full height, and strolled inside, his footsteps echoing loudly.
"My name is Jaeshan, and I've come to challenge your leader," he stated simply. Torchic added in a few chirps, nodding fiercely.
"You've gotta figure out the puzzle just like everybody else, kid," a boy with stringy blonde hair shouted from across the room. "And you'll also have to take us on as well."
"Wait, I was - " Jaeshan began, but was cut off by an elderly gentleman wearing a tweed coat and matching hat.
"Ah, Jaeshan. How nice of you to return. My name is Franklin Reid, and please, don't mind them, they've been eager to battle for quite some time now," Mr. Reid doffed his hat, eyeing the trainers with a disappointed eye. "I see your lady-friend isn't present," he observed, returning to his normal position.
"She had other things to take care of," Jaeshan said, shaking his head. It was the truth, after all.
"Well, if you'll come with me," Mr. Reid said, giving a slight bow. "Our leader is ready for you."
"Thank you," Jaeshan said, returning the bow with equal grace. He followed the gentleman past the trashcans, smiling apologetically at the trainers as they entered Surge's chamber.

"Well, I got a phone call," Kasiya answered, nodding as she spoke. "That took a little while. It was that Kilik boy, the one with the adorable Flareon! Well he asked a favor, and when that was done a cute boy challenged me to a one-on-one battle, which kept me even longer. However, Yours Truly managed to pull off a nice win. And then I went to the Pokemon Center for treatment, and that took even longer then the other things. Luckily for you, I can run pretty fast," she giggled, not even realizing that she'd said all that in about three seconds, hand gestures and all. "But I'm here now and we can finally get going! Oh," she paused, looking around. "What happened to Nina and Whitney? They said they were going to meet up with you."

"Lieutenant, you have a challenger," Mr. Reid said politely, as he led Jaeshan into the chamber.
Surge was facing the rear wall, hands behind his back. Once again he wore his trademark army greens, the sleeves of his jacket rolled up past his elbows. "Thank you, Sergeant. Dismissed," Surge said, his voice sounding a little muffled. He waited for Reid to leave the room before he turned slowly to face Jaeshan. He still wore a bandage across the bridge of his nose, but his demeanor had returned mostly to normal. "So yer Jaeshan then," he said, studying the boy. "Ain't you a big lad."
"That's right, Sir," Jaeshan replied rigidly, standing perfectly still. The burly gym leader was as tall as he was, only with a lot more bulk to him. His shoulders were broad, his arms and thighs easily as big as some tree trunks he'd seen. Jaeshan gulped, realizing quickly that this man could bend him in half as easily as he would a twig.
"That's Lieutenant!" Surge barked, startling Jaeshan to the point where he almost fell over backwards. "And don't ya ever forget it."
"Sorry, Lieutenant," Jaeshan blurted, finding himself to be utterly terrified of this man, even though they stood at the same height. "It won't happen again." And it wouldn't; or Jaeshan might have collapsed from fright.
"Good. So yer lookin' for a battle then, right?" Jaeshan nodded feebly, terrified to break eye contact. "That's fine. Three on three. Main room. Now." He raised a meaty hand, pointing to the door.
Jaeshan nearly uttered a small squeal, but managed to keep it in, nodding again. As he turned to do as told, he could feel Surge's powerful gaze on his back. Soon, he'd taken his place at one end of the arena, Surge at the other. The boy wasn't sure, but either the lighting in the room made Surge seem like a giant, or that truly was the fact. With a loud hissing sound, the trashcans in the room sank into the floor, uniform tiles slipping over the spaces to clear the arena. It took several moments for Jaeshan to realize the battle had begun, only catching on at the sight of a Magnemite hovering above the floor across from him. Pull yourself together, you coward, he scolded himself, finally getting up enough nerve to select a Pokeball. He let it fly, and the ever-ready Bagon appeared before them, ready to get this gym battle underway.

"Hm. . . how 'bout it guys? Feel like battling?" she asked, scooping Daemyn (and consequently Ulani) up as they ran past, though that nearly knocked her over. Wow. . . Daemyn's definately getting bigger, the brunette thought. Michael was right when he thought that travel would help him grow. Chirping ever-so-cheerfully, Swablu hopped onto M.A.'s head, energetically giving her consent. Daemyn too shook off his irritation, eyes gleaming eagerly at the prospect of yet another battle. However, due to the menacing looks he kept sending over to Crenu's Spinerak and M.A.'s own limit on how long she could take the Bug-type on her shoulder, she shakily but gently picked up the Bug and set him on the ground.
"This'll be good practice for both of us, since we're all gonna challenge Bugsy," she observed with a ready smile towards Ky. The girl backed up a few good meters to give the battle some room. "'Kay, Ulani, let's have you go first, alright?" The blue Cotton Pokemon trilled before floating effortlessly into the 'arena' before her, feeling good and ready for another 'game'; battles and fighting didn't interest her much by themselves, but she was sure ready for some fun in it.
"Don't worry, I think we're going two on two. You'll have a turn," she murmured to Daemyn, who had given her a quizzical, impatient look. "Just watch and learn with me first, 'kay? It won't hurt."

She stopped dancing the moment Kilik approached her. Nobody stepped onto the stage without the intent of a battle. She smiled. "Hello. I take it you're here to battle me?" Upon seeing his nod, the girl pulled a Pokeball from the wrap around her waist. The girl tossed the ball and it revealed a Flareon to the scene.
Kilik took note that the other dancers had ceased and backed against the wall to view the battle. The entire stage was now for their use. The music that they were dancing to had faded as well. Without a word, Kilik unlatched the Rocket Ball attached to his waist and hurled it. The light released a tree Pokemon that landed onto the wooden stage with a less-than stellar entrance. She wiggled her waist and smiled. "Sudowoodo! Sudowoodo!" Flashing her wonderful branches at the opposing Flareon, the Pokemon turned to see her trainer, then twirled back around at the opponent. Her action clearly meant 'Watch me and love me'. Kilik crossed his arms and smirked. "Care to still battle, Frana?" he asked.
"Oh! So you got rid of that silly tree!" She laughed, closing her hands around the sleeves over her kimono and smiling sweetly, "I've been asking Vaprina to do it, but she never got around to it."
The girl scoffed and tucked her hair behind her ear. "Frana! You know I was busy!"
"With that disgusting boyfriend of yours? Vaprina if you could ju---"
"Look!" Kilik barked, placing his hand on his forehead, "I came to battle, not to listen to you yell at each other. So, can we get this done? Or do I have to sit through your arguing?" Normally, he would have stayed out of it. However, once Nina broke up with him, he realized that arguing never solved anything.
Umbra leaned in close to Esprina's ear and laughed softly. "I think I like this kid. He's edgey." Kilik looked over at her and then back at Frana.
She gasped. "Alright. Fine. Flareon, are you ready?" The Pokemon nodded.
"Sudowoodo!" Kilik barked, "Attack with Rock Throw!"

"We're fine," Keegan muttered, raising an eyebrow at Meowth. "You'd think that for a cat who learned how to speak the human language, you would have picked up on some manners by now." It hadn't really occurred to him that he was being a bit of a hypocrite, for his own table manners were less than existent.
After each of his Pokemon had finished their meals, Keegan recalled each of them into their Poke Balls, knowing the next time he'd see them would be in Wattson's gym. "I'm going for a quick walk," he announced as he cleared the dishes from the table. "I'll meet you either at the gym or at the mart, depending on how quick you are." Without really waiting for a response, the redhead returned the pile of dishes to the counter effortlessly. In a few strides he was back at the table, tossing his jacket over one shoulder and his backpack over the other. "See you soon," he said, inclining his head slightly before he turned on a heel and strode out of the Pokemon Center.

The Pokemon wiggled her hips and thrust her hands forward, much like she had done in her battle against Kilik's Lombre. However, she only fired two of the six orbs that adorned her branches. These green spheres became jagged and turned a pale brown color as they headed in the direction of Flareon.
"Flareon!" she gasped, "Attack with a Flamethrower!" Kilik winced. This Flareon was no doubt lower in level than his. She must have used a TM to teach the Pokemon the desired move. "Surprised?" she giggled, "It's a TM move, sweety."
"I figured as much," he said simply. Kilik then smirked, "Although, it doesn't seem that your fire can cut through the tough hide of my Sudowoodo." She had taken the attack dead-on and it barely left a mark upon her. There was a little scorch on her chest, but she quickly wiped it away with a swish of her twig. The Rock Throw had now fallen to the ground, nailing Flareon in his back. That was one. The other, however, had crashed through the wooden stage, leaving a decently sized hole.
"My goodness!" "My word!" "My stars!" "My heavens!" "Our stage..."
Kilik looked at Sudowoodo and sighed. "Alright. Attack Flareon with a Low Kick!" The Pokemon ran forward, avoiding the hole that she had left in the stage, and swung her leg forcefully against the fox's paws.

"Impressive!" Mag commented after the stunt they had just pulled off. "I must say I didn't expect that." Mag said. "But can you prevent a Quick Attack?" Mag said nodding to Sunfire who shot off like a streaming orange bullet in their general direction. "Try and stop me." he said knowing his attack was almost guarenteed to hit. He moved at Shining first. Little did they know that his true target would be a different pokemon...
Shining saw his line of attack. Anticipating where he would be in mere seconds she attempted to run to the side. Her opponent changed angle with her. But if she could reach a barrier before he could strike the attack might turn around to her advantage. Sunfire moved at her making the adjustment to hit her in the anticipated time. But he also noted the true target's location and in a swerve he shot at him. Off guard Shadow moved aside but was still knocked over by the larger Flareon.

Rio landed in Goldenrod City a little while later, before he was recalled into his ball by Whitney. The pink-haired girl stretched her arms and legs out a little and walked around in a circle while Nina got used to her surroundings. She smiled, glad to be back in the region she could truly call home. She was able to walk around without aid due to the fact that she was so far away from Lavender Town and Pokemon Tower, and was glad because of this.
"It is like, so freaking awesome to be home, and junk!" Whitney said excitedly, looking around the city with wide eyes like a child in a candy store. "Oh, Goldenrod, I've like, missed you SO much... Ahh." The girl paused and looked at Nina. "So do you wanna like, go home and talk to Mom and like, tell her all this stuff? I think that we probably--"
"Err, no." Nina shook her head. "Not right now. Your mother-- well. Our... mother... has probably already caught wind of the Maorde Menskr business and she's probably worried about that stuff. I don't think that now would be the best time to inform her that she has a second daughter. Plus," she added, "I want to collect some more badges from the region. I'd like very much to be Johto's champion one day, and I'm not going to accomplish that goal if I just travel around with everyone else and watch them live up their dream." The psychic sounded bitter when she stated her last sentence.

Flareon fell forcefully down, whimpering as it tried to stand back up. "Flareon! Can you hit it with a Flamethrower?" she asked. The Pokemon nodded and opened his mouth, blasting a stream of fire outward. Sudowoodo was at a very close range and the damage inflicted was greater than before. However, it still wasn't enough to do any real harm to the Rock-type.
Kilik shook his head. "Frana, I figured that you'd know that Rock-types are resistant to Fire-type attacks," he shrugged, "Guess not. Sudowoodo!" He uncrossed his arms and pointed at the Flareon, "Take Flareon down! Flail!" Wait. Did he just really call for a Flail? She got down very close to the Pokemon and began to move her branches around in circles, very rapidly. A loud whine escaped her as well. "Suuuudooooowoooodooooo!!!" she cried.
The boy shut his eyes and sighed. Never again. She's acting like a child who didn't get her way... he thought, opening his eyes. However, the attack worked like a charm. Flareon wobbled for a bit, then fall onto his stomach, tired and worn out. The damage it had sustained was clearly too much. Frana lifted a Pokeball and recalled him.
"Wow. Nobody's beaten me that fast," she laughed. The girl then turned and walked towards her sisters, jabbing a thumb over her shoulder. Vaprina walked up next, looking down at the hole in the ground with a blank expression on her face.
"Ah, the Vaporeon Sister," Kilik said, recalling his Sudowoodo and unclipping another Pokeball, "Let's hope this battle lasts longer, shall we?"
"Oh, it will. Come on out, Vaporeon!" She tossed up a Pokeball, revealing the slick, blue, and mermaid-tailed Eevee evolution. She cooed loudly, wiggling her tail lightly.
"Lombre! Play with Vaporeon!" Kilik tossed his Pokeball up. The Pokemon landed on the ground in a kneeling position, as per usual with his Lombre. He stood up slowly and grabbed the tip of his leaf hat and tilted it in the direction of the opponent. "Round two?" he laughed.

"Anyway," Nina went on, "I'm thinking of going over to Olivine City and taking on Jasmine." Whitney shuddered a little bit. "Ugh, you want to try to fight that wench? Nina, she'll be able to take out any of your Pokemon! I mean, sure, you've got that Rhyhorn that would like, be able to take out her Steelix... but it's way too weak to be able to survive an attack from it! And then you've got your Dragonair but what happens if she gets knocked out? Who would you be able to call on then?"
"Well, err. I could always catch another Pokemon to help me, I suppose." Nina weighed the options that she had. "I could get a Water Pokemon to help take out the Steelix, but there's the matter of her Magnemite or Magneton, whatever she's using now, plus anything else she might have..." Nina sighed. "Hmm," Whitney said, "you could just like, do the smart thing and like, catch a Fire Pokemon--"
No sooner had the words 'Fire Pokemon' left Whitney's mouth did Nina scream, "NO! I don't need any Fire Pokemon whatsoever!!" Whitney jumped, extremely surprised at her sister's reaction. "Like, what the hell?! Why not? What's wrong with them?!" "...It's irrelivant," Nina stated simply. With that, she turned and walked northwestward.
"What the... what? Where are you going?" "I'm going shopping."

Nina browsed around in the Goldenrod City Department Store, on the TMs floor. She sighed, looking around through the available discs that the store had for sale. What am I going to do? She thought to herself. Whitney's probably right, there's no way that I'm going to be able to beat Jasmine. I'd have to train for who knows how long to get Pookie at a decent enough level to even be able to match one of Jasmine's Pokemon... And there's no Fire Pokemon that I will capture. None at all.
She sighed again, before heading down and out of the mart. She almost literally bumped into Whitney as she was going out the doors.
"Hay Nina," Whitney said, a little surprised, "I thought you were going to like, go shopping?" The girl shook her head a little. "The urge to shop passed," she said, reaching for her belt and releasing Krystal from her Ultra Ball. She got onto her Pokemon's back. Whitney's eyes shone as she approached Krystal, and stroked her on the nose. "Nina, you are like, SEW lucky!" she exclaimed. "I'd give anything for a Pokemon like this..." She grinned, and hopped onto the Pokemon's back.
"Krystal, my dear," Nina said sweetly, "take us over to Olivine! We've got a Gym Leader to beat!" Krystal cooed excitedly, lifting up into the air. She shot like a missile through the air, cooing all the way.

Spinarak scurried back over to Crenu's shoulder and he smiled. "We can't let them get stronger than us right? Let's do some training as well. Larvitar, front and center!" Crenu threw his other pokeball onto the ground and watched as his red light took form. "Alright you two, let's get to work." They backed up a few meters until they were a safe distance from M.A. and Ky's battle, but still in view. "Spinarak, String Shot! Larvitar, Sand Storm! Combination time!" Spinarak jumped onto Larvitar's head as he created a spinning funnel of sand towards a tree. As the funnel spun, Spinarak released a string of silk that began to coil around the funnel, but was once again broken up by the strong winds and sand. "Don't worry Spinarak, you'll get it. If only your string shot was stronger, maybe it could withstand the force of Larvitar's sand storm." Let's keep trying!"

Vaprina and her Vaporeon smiled in unison. They had never seen the strange looking 'frog' before. "Wow. Where did you find that strange creature?" she asked, placing a hand on her hip.
"In my home region of Hoenn," he explained, "Outside of Verdanturf City." Lombre let out a yawn, a little sleepy from his nap inside of the Pokeball. When his bill shut, there as a slight snap. The Pokemon placed a hand on his hat and looked over his shoulder at Kilik, as if to say 'Let's get a move on, pardner.' "Anyway..." he shook his head, "Vaprina! Get ready! Lombre!" He pointed at Vaporeon, "Attack with a Giga Drain!"
"Vaporeon! Look out!" Vaprina gasped as the six large orbs all missed, popping gently against the splintered wood that jutted from the hole. The Pokemon smiled and opened her mouth with a yawn. "Now! Ice Beam!" A stream of snow and ice burst forth.
Kilik took a step back. These Sisters...they use enough TM moves! "Lombre! Dodge it!" The frog blinked at the oncoming attack, then used his strong legs to hop into the air. The Ice Beam landed harmlessly onto the wood, freezing it for a moment. However, it quickly melted. Another 'Giga Drain' was issued and he obeyed by bowing his head and shooting six more large orbs outwards.
