Kat giggled again and smiled, nodding, "That's good then that means you are a gentelman!" she exclaimed, plopping down next to him. She didn't have much furniture, a bed, a bathroom, a nightstand, a shelf, and a boombox. She looked around the candle lit room, the soft intoxicating scent of dark vanilla thick in the air, giving the room a pleasant scent. "What do you mean. Out of this room? Out of the asylum? If it is the second I don't think so. I'm merely a guest at this institution and I can leave when ever I want. I have no family, nor do I have friends outside this institution, I know no one, I've lived here my whole life, I don't fit in with that world, where would I go?" she asked innocently, seeming a tad scared of the thought of the world outside. "I haven't been outside since I came here...I wouldn't know where to start." she said looking down with almost an ashamed look.

"You might want to go outside eventually, but for now we can just wonder around. I can show you some of the other kids in the other cell blocks." He said as he slowly got up and looked at the rather small cell. It seemed rather boring in here, and he wondered if he would be able to bring outside things into here.

Kat tilted her head, "I know every other kid in this asylum. Some of them are up there." she said pointing to the shelf which held the jars of eyes. She stood up as well, brushing herself off. She ran a hand through her multi-colored hair. "We can go to the indoor pool...Or we can mess around in the cafeteria...Orr....Ummm...I don't know all kinds of places! This place is so big!" she said throwing out her arms as if to demonstrate how large the asylum was. She let her arms fall to the sides with a smile and another happy giggle.

"You really have never gone outside, have you?" He asked as he slowly nlayed his hands on the floor. He was a little dissapointed that Kat was such am omteresting and nice girl, but she never faced the real world.

"No, I can't lie silly! If I lie I get a big black mark on my chest where my heart is and it burns. I went outside when I was little but I don't remember it. Though I'm scared I do want to see the ocean...It's so big and splashy!!!" she said once again throwing out her hands as if to demonstrate the size. She giggled again and then fell back onto the floor. She stared up to the ceiling, "I've never been shopping, or to school, or to malls, or to be out to eat, or all those things! That would be so fun, yet, I don't want to be judged by those people, they look at me like I'm weird...I don't liek that, it isn't fair...They may think my customs are weird, but I think their customs are weird, and I don't stare at them." she said, now seeming a little sad. She sat up and brought her knees to her chest, wrapping them around her legs. She closed her eyes, trying to stop herself from crying, though there was a tear rolling down her cheek.

"People are afraid of what is different, but they just have to learn and embrace the diffence of others." Cameron said as he slowly got to his feet. He had pondered a bit about what Kat said with the black mark, but he got his mind over it quickly.

"But they won't, they never will. That's why I'm afraid to leave. I don't want them to think I'm crazy. I'm not, really I'm not. I may be a little different but I'm not insane. Everyone in this whole asylum thinks I'm insane, and their scared of me." she said, calmly wiping away the tear from her cheek, as if she had to be tough. She never cried infront of people, and she didn't want to cry infront of Cameron. "I'm sorry. I just don't like being different. I just want to be normal." she said calmly. "That's all I've ever wished for." she said now, her voice whispy and soothing, brilliant almost.

"I don't think you're insane. I think you are a beautiful girl that is simply misunderstood. No one is normal, and you must remember that." He said as he slowly walked over to her so he was at an incline to her. "No one can be."

Elena had sat her time through the recreation period staring in front of her, her eyes glazed over, and she did not notice the glances she recieved from the nurses and the other kids.. The bell rang that signalled that the hour was over, and Elena gasped, and quickly covered her ears..
Loud noises scared her, yet loud noises that were emitted all of a sudden which came with no warning scared her even more.. She began hyperventilating, well after the bell had long stopped ringing, and no matter what the nurses tried to do to calm her, she imagined them monster attacking her, which only increased her panic attack..
At the end she was lying on the ground, kicking, screaming and crying.. Her eyes closed, her hands covering her ears, curled up into a semi-ball, she had snapped.. Whenever they tried touching her to force her up, or into a straight jacket, she'd go further, suddenly screaming about the end of the world.. The nurses quickly led the other patients to their own rooms, some already affected greatly by Elena's attack, starting to become restless themselves..
A doctor was called, who gave her an injection, and made her go wild, screaming that they were all out to get her. He heaved her up, and carried her to her room, which only worstened the situation, as she got numb because of the medications, her mind got more schizophrenic, so that by the time she was placed onto her bed, the hyperventilation had made her dizzy, and not being able to breathe normally anymore, she took tiny, gasping breaths...

~{Sorry, weather out here is really bad, internet keeps dying. }~
Kat looked up at him, eyes opening to reveal glistening, soft purple orbs, as the tears now ran freely down her slightly rose tinted cheeks. She wiped her tears, "Thanks...But I'm not beautiful...I'm fat.." she said, looking down at her flat stomach, which she seen as fat. "Look at me. If I was so pretty then why do I have no boyfriend or friends. I know everyone here just pretends to be my friend because their afraid of me. They try, but I know all of them are scared of me and they all think I'm weird and ugly and scary. I don't try to be scary...I really don't..." she said softly. She shook her head at these thoughts, but she continued to look at him, a slight smile upon her lips.
"Well, I know that, silly goose. But I want to be...Sort of like everyone else. I don't want to be judged because I'm different. I wish I could live outside, have friends, maybe a boyfriend, a job, a school education, a home with a little pet, everything. That would be nice. You don't know what being cooped up in this place for over ten years will do to someone." she said calmly.

He laughed a bit but tried to stifle it the best he could. With a bright smile across his face he said "Boyfriends are nothing but trouble, and you don't have one because you keep trying. Everything works out in the end." He then leaned down to stare at her stomach and he said "Well you're not fat, that's for sure, but you are killing yourself by not eating. Also, some guys like something more than just skin and bones when they look at girls." He then circled her pretending to inspect her, but he had to hide his little smile that he had on his face. "Well I can work with you, but I am not saying that you will see results within weeks." Cameron knew that he was making her worry, but it was for the best. Though, her problem of wanting to go outside but not being able to was something for his mind. He paced slowly, but stopped in his tracks once an idea came to his head. "Mom." He whispered.

She closed her eyes and she thought about his offer for a few moments. It was very tempting, but she wasn't for sure what to do. She always thought she was fat, but everyone told her she wasn't. Was she just imagining it? She sighed, and shrugged, figuring she could atleast give it a try. "You'll work with me...To make me better....But why? You don't even barely know me. No one does things for others like that, well, at least around here." she said calmly. She shuddered slightly and looked down to the ground, she sighed softly. "Oh...What's wrong with me..." she said softly to herself, wrapping her arms around her head, as if to sheild herself from any pain she figured she would feel later on. "You promise you aren't lying?" she said, peering through her arms to look at him. Her eyes lightened to a lavender color, trusting and calm they were, glistening and bright with hope, but they also held flecks of dark pink, showing she was still a little afraid.

"I promise to everything. Boyfriends are trouble, and when you don't eat you don't get energy. With no energy your metabolism slows down, and you end up getting huge. I know someone who can help you with your outside problems. It's my foster mother, she's really great." He slowly held out one of his hands to help her up, and with the other he took out his radio. "I am going to pull subject A-22 out of the facility for outdoor adaption." Anny's voice come on from the other side barking "You will not bring her out! Cameron listen to me!" Cameron simply held down the button and then said again "Do I have clearance." He could hear Anny grumble on the other line before saying "Fine! Two days tops!" Cameron turned to Kat and then said "I guess there is no turning back now."

Kat used his hand to help her up, but before they left she smiled, "Hold on.." she said softly before she moved over to her bed, then kneeled under it. She held her hands out to the shadows, until slowly she pulled them out, holding a small monkey. He crawled up her arms and propped himself on one of her shoulders, his tail wrapping around the back of her neck and resting on the other shoulder. "This is Jack, he's coming with.. I saved him from testing. But he does turn into a shadow." she said softly before going back to Cameron. "I suppose...Let's go then..." she said calmly, as she held out her hand to him. Kat's eyes were trusting, but the voices in Kat's mind were not as trusting. They were telling her to turn back and not to trust him, but she pushed them into the deepest depths of her mind, and decided to trust him, and hopefully things would get better. Plus, what was the worst that could happen?

It was just about night, and Cameron couldn't help but think what other animals the kids could have. He slowly walked to the front gates, giving a small smile to the slightly happy Anny. She had her car keys in hand and motioned to Cameron, but he said "We'll walk." He then turned to Kat and said "No matter what happens, do not go away from me or someone we know. Also, try not to use your powers around strangers." He slowly pushed open the double doors and let the moolight show upon them. It was about eight'o'clock PM, and there was a full moon. He slowly looked over to her and said "Just stay close. We can get through this together."
