I have found you
Over the stretches of time
The current strong
Pulling me from your veiw
Without the touch of your body
The mind of your soul
comforts me while we are away
You asked me once
What do I want
What is it that I long for?
I couldn't reply
As tears streamed down my cheeks
Afraid of the current as it passes over me
but I long forgotten the strength of my own heart
Your words where like a dream
And dreams could never fool me
Not that easily
Clearing the tears from my eyes
I want to lay with you each night
Watching the stars above us
Swirl in the universe
Just to think
How feeble and small we are in this world
To wake up and have you beside me
Laughing with our hearts wide open
Singing songs and writing poetry
As the day comes to an end
I know I can lay in your arms
Knowing that when I wake
You will be there to hold me close
And tell me you will never leave me
That is what I long for
Wiping the tears from my eyes
You embraces me with your strong arms
Looking into my gaze
You whispered to me
this is all I want from you
Because I love you and we will always have each other

I look away from your gaze
Unable to show the truth
What petrifies me now
You look at me with that mysterious glaze
Wonder and curiousity fill your mind
Only to see
That I turn from you and walk away
Forgiveness is what I seek
But to afraid to stay
I linger in her shadow
Just a replacement for the time
Because your heart was made up
She made you smile like I never could
Made you happy
something I struggle with this moment
I am just her shadow
A replacement
To heal your broken heart
You never knew
As my heart shatters to complete your broken love
I leave the peices lying on the ground
Never to pick them up again
My love is nothing you desire
All you see is her
In my arms you speak to her
In your thoughts you dream of her
When you let go
I will be here to catch you
but until that time
I am her shadow
As you hold me tonight
I know it is her your thinking of

You're officially one of my new favorite poets. XD There were at least nine of your poems I thoroughly enjoyed above the others. Phoenix: Part 2, Addiction, Breakdown, My Innocence and your Horizon, Only Soul Mate, Iron Boxes, Subside to the Wolve's Envy, your second Untitled poem, and Shadows of Her Memory. Although I must say, Phoenix: Part 2, Breakdown, and Subside to the Wolves really caught me. I love how with Breakdown, you compared it with actually drowning... I think it's really interesting how some of your poems... have to do, or I guess are related, with animals. If you know what I mean. Wolves in sheep skin and a Phoenix. It's very unique and I've never seen anyone write like that before. So that completely blew me away, and I absolutely loved it! Shadows of Her Memory was sad, but I loved how it was written... It reminded me of a situation I used to be in... And then in Addiction, you compared your addiction to a maze. That really impressed me too. ^^; I love your style of writing soooo much!!! Keep posting your poetry! I'll keep reading! biggrin

Love came come again
The hearts are many
But the mind is one
Without his touch
you feel him
surround you and embrace you with his arms
Reality becomes a dream
For he has found you again
Without his love you are nothing
But nothing is what you are
Feelign his lips upon your shoulder his shadow next to yours
you see what could have been
dreams never last in this time
Letting go, you are alone
He fades from this world
Without his touch you are nothing
He was never there
Never here
You are nothing without him
But he was just a dream
Looking into the night sky
you close your eyes
Feeling his presence beside you
his lips once more upon your skin.

Never stopping the time
Veiw their faces and minds
What they do each day
Hear their voices and thoughts
What this world has to offer
Be apart of their life
Greet them with a smile
Embrace them now
Because no one lasts forever
Time changes
And people fade from this earth
Just as quickly as they came
Embrace them as this was the last time
Laugh with them once more
Smile every day
Because each moment is precious
