Ko'tahl ran as fast as he could, ignoring the seering pain in his legs, back and chest. He carries the hook-chucks still, but they were slung over his shoulder. He had no use of them now. However, he was taking a slight detour from the direct retreat, moving towards his home in an effort to ensure his father's saftey.

Tamale, concerned with escaping with the girl, saw only a slight movement at Ko'tahl inched away from the pack. "Ko'tahl! No!"
The Scourge reared up again, sensing the movement of its pray. It veered off toward the escaping Ko'tahl.

Ko'tahl ran to his home, but his father was nowhere to be found outside. "Father! We have to get out of here!" The possability that his father could have already escaped did not cross Ko'tahl's mind as he ran towards his house.
((I really hope that this doesn't kill him... stupid empathy))

As Ko'tahl searched his home in a panic, the Scourge trumpeted in joy at having cornered its mark. It rushed toward the small dwelling with a new fervor, ignoring the other Orithani around it. More homes were smashed it the horror's brutal rampage.
Tamale swore to himself in an impotent fury. I already used up my Patron's favor today, to save the girl...I hope Ko'tahl is the man we think he is.

((Time stamp))
*For a while Liana let the general Tamale carry her, but she already felt enough in his dept, that she eventually wiggled free of his grip and started to run on her own. Despite the gas, she was still much faster than the two bigger ones.*
"Run you stupid humans, you're going to be crushed." She yelled as loud as she could.
"All of you run, get away from here as fast as you can."
*She continued running, trying to not go faster than the General and the other Lokai. She was having fun jumping and running from the creature, it was almost like a game to her. A small smerk and a fang creeped across her face. She knew she shouldn't feel this way, but something within her flared. Somehting inside her was telling her it was good to tease the giant scourge.* -----------------------------------------------------------
*When she heard the general she stopped. She looked back in time to see the other Lokai dash inside a house, and the Scourge close in on him.*
"What the Hell is he doing!?" She snarled, her emotions starting to flood in.
"Is he tryign to kill himself?" With that she started to dash towards the giant beast, not thinking of the immense size difference and complications that may arise. She felt the fire within her rise.

Ko'tahl ran through his house briefly. His father was gone. Finally figuring out that the elder lokai had escaped already, Ko'tahl ran towards the back door.

((I don't know how the affinity works, but I wanna use it on this thing, lol! With permission of course.))
*Liana darted at the Scourge's back leg, her arm pulled back, her claws extended, as if to send her sharp claws into it's legs like a spear. She had no idea what she was doing, but attacking this thing felt like a good idea.*

One of the Scourge's legs crashed through Ko'tahl's house, scattering rubble and tender through the ruined building. It moaned in fury, turning its eyeless gaze on its quarry once again.
Meanwhile, a second of the horror's legs crashed into Liana with the force of a wrecking ball, sending her flying through the air, cascading off of edifices and walls before skimming off of the dirt some distance away from her new companions. This, combined with the still-lingering effects of the Spirespawn's poison, made her entire body feel as if someone had taken a rock-pulverizer to it.

((Woot! I have made a DBZ character, lol!))
*Liana lay there too much in pain to do anything but hold the dirt down below her. Everything spun, she felt sick, but was in too much pain, she tried lift her head so she wans't sucking up any dirt, her lungs ached evertime she breathed in. She assumed she had a broken rib or two, the rest of her felt okay, despite the immense pain. There was no getting up, she would just fall right back down, if she could lift her head.*
"I need to stop doing that." She coughed, gasping for air. She listened for the creature incase it was coming for her.

Tamale rushed over to the fallen lokai. "Tahndemn's balls, girl! I've never seen anyone try to take a Scourge head-on before. Now I know why!" He gently, picked her up, keeping an eye on the massive beast that seemed more preoccupied with chasing Ko'tahl. "The mist's almost completely retreated...with luck, this will all be over soon."

Ko'tahl sheltered himself with his arms as best he could from the airborne debris, but he still managed to get cut up a bit. He briefly looked up through what used to be the roof of his home to the terrifying creature. It was only now that he realized the mistake he had made.
Attempting to harness every ounce of strength and inner power he had, he pushed the pain of his wounds to the back of his mind and began to move again, this time heading into the (mostly) untouched portion of the house and heading straight for a window. He grabbed a nearby chair and threw it through the fragile glass, then lept out, rolling on the ground between his home and his neighbor's.

The Scourge decimated the remainder of Ko'tahl's home, the black mana it vomited forth from its mouth corrupting the wood and turning it into a worm-eaten mesh. It howled as it scoured the ground in front of it for its victim.
The other denizens of the small village took the oppertunity to flee, hoping that the creature would fade before any more lives were taken.

Ko'tahl quickly scurried across the dirt, behind his neighbor's house. When he was sure he was hidden from the Scourge, he started to move away again, using whatever cover he could find.

Tamale grumbled as he hoisted the younger Orithani over his shoulder. "Well, next time, be rash against something at least remotely your own size..." He scouted around for Ko'tahl. "This place is a disaster...when we reach the capital, we'll have to send aid."
The Scoruge trumpeted again, nudging rubble and ruin with its massive legs, hunting for Ko'tahl. Slowly, whisps of black mana began to pull the beast back into the fog. Within a few minutes, nothing of it remained except the corruption and destruction it had left in its wake.
