Kieran moved to walk around, dragging his paws. Never in his whole life has he been so depressed as right now. He was completely alone, and utterly sad.
Nalikai, where are you right now? Kieran pondered, looking up at the sky. I wanna be there with you.
He continued to wander with his head hung, the blue numa bumping into things a couple times. But what else was he to do?

Nalikai's ear-fin twitched at a sound, but he ignored it. What did he care? It wasn't as if the sound could be Kieran, Nalikai had made sure to go in the opposite direction of the blue male. Whether or not he had stayed in that direction was none of his concern. His nose twitched, catching a familiar scent. A too familiar scent. He froze, eyes wide.
Oh no...

A strong breeze blew leaves around the wandering Kieran, who just sighed, dropping his headeven more. Wait. waaait This breeze was different. The wind had brought something other than just a calming rustle of the trees; Nalikai was nearby. He could smell it.
His heart raced. Oh, how he had missed the black numa so much! Finally he could see him again, and hold him, and everything could be back to normal, when they were happy together.
Kieran sprinted headfirst into the dark forest, looking around desperately for the other. He just wanted to see him, was that too much to ask? He just...he needed Nalikai. And for the dark blue numa, that was enough of a motive to run fast than he probably ever had, sniffing the scent-filled air, just for the other.
"Nalikai!!"

Nalikai winced, "Oh no, oh no, oh no..." This wasn't god. This was far from good, this must be some horrible nightmare. Kieran wasn't nearby, he wasn't shouting Nalikai's name and he certainly wasn't coming closer.
What am I supposed to do? He whimpered, clenching his teeth and digging his claws into the earth. He should run, and run far away. Run to someplace Kieran couldn't find him.
But he remained. He stood there, frozen in that spot, because of the simple fact that he didn't want to run. He didn't want to leave. He wanted to see Kieran. He wanted to be with the damned blue male who had weaseled his way into his heart.
Crap.
What was he going to do? He couldn't face Kieran like this! What if he hurt him? What if he did -that- to him? He couldn't, he wouldn't he'd die before that happened. He shook his head, using all of his willpower to take a step back. This isn't going to be easy.

"Nalikai! Nalikai!!" Kieran continued to call, looking around trees, up into branches and inside of bushes, all for the other numa boy.
"Where are you? Please, show yourself!" He begged, his voice laced with a whine.

Noooo, don't say that! Don't--Ah, hells.
When Nalikai heard his voice again, laced with distinct desperation, he couldn't control it anymore. "I am going to regret this so much." He groaned and took off, using his nose-which was a bit more powerful now-to find the blue numa.
He pounced the blue boy, wriggling against him and whining softly, "Don't talk, okay?" He whispered, eyes shut and face half-buried in blue fur, "Don't talk, don't get excited, don't do anything." His voice was desperate, he was begging, "I'll leave in a minute, just give me a minute, okay? I'll go after that just--" He took a deep breath, relaxing against him, "Just a minute."

"..!" Kieran's breath hitched as he was tackled by a beautiful black and red blur. His beautiful black and red blur.
"Nali-" he listened to the shaking numa, utterly confused. No, he didn't want him to leave! He wanted him to stay with him forever!
But Kieran nevertheless stayed silent, snuggling into the other numa and holding him tight.
What's wrong, Nalikai? I...I dont understand. He thought, as if he could comunicate telepathically with the other. How he wished he could.
Why can't I talk? Why wont you look me in the eyes...? Why...?
Kieran could feel his eyes start to sting;all of this doubtful and confused thinking was just making the situation worse. He just should try to relax, and enjoy their time together, make memories, since Nalikai seems to think it's their last.
That thought alone made the blue numa shake uncontrollably. Please, I hope not. Please don't let this be the end.
I love you, Nalikai. I really really do.

"I'm sorry." He mumbled faintly, "Sorry for a lot of things." He sighed, knowing he should leave, but unable to move. He took another breath, drinking in his scent one last time.
"I can't stay." He said finally, eyes still closed, "I can't. I can't tell you why--but I just can't stay here." He gritted his teeth, throwing off the instinct to just bite the poor lad. He just looked so good, why couldn't her just have a taste? He growled and got off the blue numa, it clearly wasn't going the way Nalikai had hoped.
"I'm sorry, Kieran," He murmured, tentatively brushing away a bit of blue hair, "It's just....you won't understand....and I can't hurt you....I just can't."

"Nalikai...I think I can understand..." He stepped back, sitting down and just watching the other.
"If there's something wrong...before you go, can I at least know why? Did something happen? Is it...." He swallowed. "Is it my fault you're leaving? I want to understand, so I can at least have that.

Nalikai shook his head, smiling ruefully, "Do you?" He asked softly, gold-green eyes finally focusing on him, "Do you think you can understand this?" He shifted closer, closing in on the blue numa, "Do you think you can understand why I'm acting this way?" He cupped the blue male's chin and smiled, finally revealing the elongated canine teeth, "It's not your fault, Kieran, It's merely my nature."
He flinched and retreated, releasing his grip, "It's who I am, Kieran." He said mournfully, closing his eyes, "I thought I had surpressed it...but I suppose," He licked a paw, attempting to distract himself, "That being with you simply makes me lose control."

"...." Kieran leaned forward and captured Nalikai's muzzle in a kiss.
Upon pulling back, he smiled warmly. "That's it? You're a vampire? That's why you've been running away this whole time?" Kieran giggled a little.
"If the reason you were running was because you thought i wouldn't accept you for who you are, you're wrong. I understand now, and I'm not afraid. Not at all." The blue numa snuggled against him.
"You're still the same boy I fell in love with." He smiled into the other's fur. "And if you want...some....I understand." Kieran tilted his head to the side, his face still buried in the other's warm fur.

Nalikai-to be generous-was stunned.
"W-what?" He stammered, eyes wide, "'That's it'? That's not it! You should be afraid! Terrified! You're dealing with an un-dead creature that drinks the blood of the living, here!" Nalikai was indignant.
All his life, well, "life" wasn't really the correct word but just the same; he had been treated as a monster to the living world, only barely fitting into it when he buried all of his old habits. To find that some numa could easily accept him this way was just, well, unbelievable.
"I don't understand you." He finally said, as the blue male snuggled against him, "What's wrong with you?" He tugged on the others ear-fin playfully, "What kind of numa isn't afraid?"
He paused, eyes widening, "If I want some?" He sighed and smiled ruefully, "Do you even know what you're offering, boy?" He asked softly, mouth near the blue male's ear, "You don't offer something like that so freely, Kieran." He warned, burying his muzzle in the blue male neck, "It might be painful," he warned softly, eyes closed, "Still?"

Kieran grinned, purring. "This kind of numa isn't afraid. I've grown up knowing much worse than a silly little numa like you." And he meant that in the nicest way possible.
Kieran only continued to smile as Nalikai nuzzled his neck. "I told you. I'm not afraid. And besides, I love you. A bit of pain and two little bite marks isn't going to change that." He wrapped his paws around the other numa, snuggling against him.
"Go ahead. I'm ready."

Nalikai smiled, licking his neck, "Silly? Am I really?" He asked softly, "Ha, you never know, love, I might take a bit too much of a liking to you." He sighed softly, muzzle pressed against his pulse-point, "Knowing worse, hmm?" He murmured, "I suppose we'll have something to share then, later."
"They'll make pretty scars." He purred softly, closing his eyes and finally giving in.
Pearly white canines sank deep into the blue male's skin.

Kieran only showed signs of slight discomfort; he was able to hold still and just pet Nalikai's back with a paw, his blue eyes fluttering shut. It wasn't that bad at all. He just concentrated on staying conscious.
It really was worth it.
