AaronTheGreat I heard spotting Big unlocks comical videos... I did find him 3 times already, but all I see is a diray entry and a pic for each.

Up to the Pirate level, with all the extra missions available completed. First off: BOSS LEVELS ROCK! The scorpion boss was amazing!
The game was really slow, unbarable and poor until I had earned Speed Break, Speed Up, Rocket Start and Jump Dash. Especially Jump Dash...
Sure, it kills me more often than not, but the fact that after a homing attack I can regain full speed without stopping/starting again is amazing.
If I had the accuracy, I'd totally use the jump cancel attack for speed instead.
Speed Up and Rocket Start cost too many points... Sonic Team should know that we want speed, stop making us pay through the nose for it!

Beat the pirate level boss and currently fighting the Factory Boss (who is like a remake of Egg Golem and Lava Reef Miniboss) and I am convinced that the bosses are the best part of this game, also the speed run missions and "Don't get defeated" ones ROCK.
Infact, the further into this game I get, and the more skills I am granted, the more I enjoy it... then when I'm done I can go through the levels again with my full arsenal of abilities.

I'm extremely pleased with this game. It gets a bit difficult at times, but I'm really enjoying it. Another good title by the Team.

Who's gonna rock the place... It is thanks to this game, that we learn that Sonic has no toes. He has fingers, but no toes.
Who else here believes it's due to all the running he's done? It's worn 'em out! ...No one can touch this.

I know we saw that in the SA2 artwork, but they've actually put it in-game now?
I'm not even asking how someone finally manages to crowbar Sonic's shoes off - or how many blocks they stink out, after all of that running. smile

*breathes new life into the topic*
Well, I finally went over to see a friend of mine back at home in Gloucestershire, who owns a Wii and Sonic. She'd told me she was stuck on the homing attack bit in the tutorial ("Lost Prologue - and kudos to them for spelling prologue properly in the UK edition!). Given how she loathed Metal Harbour in SA2, I wasn't surprised.
I found it really difficult to master the homing attacks - I think I had something like 15 attempts before I killed all the badniks smile And boy, am I paying for it today! My arms ache like you wouldn't believe. In case you're not aware how the Wiimote dynamic works for this move, you have to push it forward quite fast to make Sonic home in on the nearest badnik. Now, since you don't wat to miss, you tend to do so really forcefully to begin with, thus pulling muscles you didn't even know you had...
Still, I got to play the first level, which was a lot of fun. Unlike Samwise, though, I am *not* a fan of the "Don't get defeated" missions, as I invariably ran face first into flames or badniks - or nasty spike balls when I was trying to run uphill smile
I guess I need a lot more practice at using the Wiimote before I could get into the game, but I had fun. We also played a few of the mini games, both of us generally having no clue what we were doing.
So a bonza evening all told, even if I did have to drive home with arms feeling like wet spaghetti smile
At some point I will even get a Wii, but it's on the backburner for the time being.

I personally had no trouble using the homing attack. I just wait for the red circle, and a quick push forward seems to get the job done.
DJ Ashura, I wouldn't say this game proved Sonic has no toes, since it looks like he's still wearing his shoes, there just blue....
I am unlocking all kinds of stuff and loving it very much. I hope they make a sequel, cuz this game is awesome.

I finished the main story, with a huge crapload of unlocks left to go, and let me tell you.... The last boss, Alf Layla wa Layla is not easy on the arms. You almost constantly shake the remote to get the soul gauge filled... and I'm not the type that can beat a boss with one try. My arms will be sore for days, and I can't even hold them up for very long.... SWEETEST BOSS EVER! cool

It's basically impossible to dodge all of them in his later state without Time Break. I'm just good like that. I used spped break to hit him and attak like you should but, never slowed time up any. When I did, I found myself frustrated. It was trial and error, but I did it. Both boss fights with Erazor. It was actually really weird because I though I still had a long ways to go, kept dodging the pink balls by strafing left to right, getting the silver rings that appeared along with the gold ones, andI swear I started over and hit him like twice or something. It showed me winning. Perhaps I'd lost so many times it decided to make it easier. It's just like how the game moves you forwards if you fail at one section of a stage too much.
