Rojiza nods, a bit glumly. But Ais is right. It would come eventually. Wouldn't it? Her attention is momentarily drawn to Vanna, the beautiful fae-child. She smiles lightly. She'd have no trouble snaring a boy when she got old enough. Now where had that thought come from? [OMG FEELINGZ LOL. xD]
Caroline smiles and touches Khevashi's nose gently. "Tha's right. Yer mumma's got such lovely children." She coos at him. She smiles at Silver. "We've come a long way, 'aven't we?" she asks, looking at the two girls.

Tamlin had grown up knowing about the meij and its power, but never before had she seen it in such a spectacular manner. sitting in the glow of the fire she watched as the strange and beautiful children grow as they were blessed by the meij. They were indeed beautiful, Tamlin sighed with slight envy and much admiration as she looked upon the mothers and friends of the two blessed children.
She let her gaze wander around to the others gathered. The atmosphere was intense due to the situation, but it was also warm and pleasant, and greatly reminded her of when she was little traveling with her family. Perhaps the meij wanted this when it allowed her to run into such misfortune with her wagon. It knew she was tired of being alone and led her to this wonderful caravan. Tamlin smiled at the thought and then turned her attention back to the ceremony

Baptiste, until now mesmerized by the flow of the Meij, manages to look at Tamlin's face. "Penny for your thoughts, my dear," he murmurs in her ear.

Tamlin startled briefly at hearing Baptiste's voice and then calmed to think of a response. instinctively she wound her curls around a finger and pursed her lips as she thought. "It's very nice to be accepted here, and to be watching this. to be honest I'm quite envious of the family ties present here. My family was always very close in our feelings, but we tend to wander a lot, and it has been a long time since ive been with a family" Tamlin nodded towards the two who had grown " a long time since ive been with children. I wonder how my brothers and sister are doing?" she trailed off for a bit. and then grinned and nudged Baptiste with her elbow.
"I will save you a penny if you share your thoughts"

Baptiste laughs softly. She'd flirted back! "Well," he says, his voice a quiet rumble as he speaks, "I'm only thinking that the firelight makes all the faces here especially beautiful. And that perhaps I may have a home here after all." He shakes a shock of straw-colored hair out of his face. He nudges her back. "There. We're even."

"Ah," says Baptiste with mock lament, "If only such exchanges resulted in money! Were that the case, I would be a rich man indeed." He winks and smiles charmingly. Activity had seemed to be at a lull for now. Not that he blames it--two extraordinary transformations had occurred. Yet the wagon-mother seems to have more gifts and wisdom to impart on other members of the caravan. Why does she choose to hold her tongue just now? Perhaps it is to let the gathering calm down after such excitement as growing children. He casts a glance at the two young women who had been given the great Meij-gift. Each is beautiful, in her own way. The first having a natural, earthen charm, and the second is darkly lovely. Baptiste turns his attention back to Tamlin, waiting for her witty response.

"ah" said Tamlin knowingly "but you need not measure the profit of such conversation in money only you know. And by your measure i imagine you have profited quite well on such interchanges." She held his gaze momentarily before she extracted her fingers from her hair to brush away a few creases in her skirt and gazing back towards the fire. "I wonder what else this evening will hold" she murmured to no one in particular.

"Well spoken," murmurs Baptiste, before letting the conversation break away from flirtation. "I, too, wonder what else the wagon-mother has in store for the caravan. And also what things even she knows nothing about."

"We sure have," Silver said as Khevashi giggled at Caroline. She couldn't see or hear Vanna on the other side of the fire and Aisrhan, who was close enough to hear the child whimper, just feigned ignorance. She swished her tail almost indignantly, while still smiling at Rojiza. Ugh. She's such a whiny little thing, she thought.

Caroline kisses Khevashi's head and smiles. "A bonnie wee lad you've got, Silver," she says, nodding her head. "Wonder what a son of m'own'd look like," she ponders.
Rojiza looks around for something else going on. It wouldn't do to have the two of them standing in the middle of the circle when something else happened. She jerks her head toward the outer ring, motioning for Aisrhan to come with her.

Silver smiled, "Thanks". She watched as Khevashi tilted his head sideways and back again, like a bird often does, and thought it was the most adorable thing ever. "You know, that's a good question. What kind of a son would you like to have? I mean, I know the meij surprises us all, but I can also tell you've at least thought about it."
Aisrhan followed Rojiza toward the ring, understanding that they were now in the way. She suddenly found herself a bit closer to the little song child than she would've liked and squinted her eyes at Vanna, the tip of her tail twitching irritably, not caring if Rojiza noticed.

Caroline shrugs. She had thought about it, but she'd never thought that someone would ask her about it. "Well," she says. "It would be verra nice to have a complement to Rojiza. And any son o' mine will know how t' dance!" She smiles clasps her hands in front of her. "Buuut in order for annathing like that to happen I'd need mehself a man." She makes a face. "And from the looks of it I dinnae thing that'll be happenin' annatime soon."
Rojiza jumps as Aisrhan's tail twitches, causing a rattling sound. She quirks an eyebrow at her friend and follows her gaze to...Vanna? Now she's even more confused. What on Earth did Ais have against little Vanna?

Vanna whimpered more, and Leax sighed, irritated. He shot the teenager a glare - Her mother should pay more attention to this - and shifted away from the snake girl. His hand on Lorelei's arm made her shift, as well.
"Did she come closer?" she murmured in his ear.
Leax nodded his head, then colored slightly when he realized she couldn't see that. "Yes, a little."

"You never know, hun. You may find one at the next trade stop." Silver winked at Caroline. "And I'm sure you'll have a good strong son to dance with you guys one day. You and your children could form your own dance troupe!" Silver chuckled, a thoughtful smile on her face, imagining the dancing family. "I think it would be wonderful."
Aisrhan noticed Leax glaring at her. Who does this guy think he is? This isn't his problem. Wait...who is he? Ais hadn't noticed him before, and, What's this? Lorelei is blind? Well, this is new. She suddenly felt a twinge of guilt for harboring ill feelings toward Vanna. She lowered her eyes apologetically and hoped the man next to Lorelei would notice. She certainly didn't expect Vanna's forgiveness. She'd already been rejected once - and she still couldn't bring herself to be sincere. "Um, Ro? Wanna go see Khevashi?" She wanted to be as far from Vanna and her family as possible.
