Matiko-san Anyone else feeling tense about today being election day? Quite. I've been sporadically reciting Patrick's Rune, from A Swiftly Tilting Planet by Madeleine L'Engle. Madeleine L'Engle At Tara in this fateful hour I place all Heaven with its power And the sun with its brightness, And the snow with its whiteness, And the fire with all the strength it hath, And the lightning with its rapid wrath, And the winds with their swiftness along their path, And the sea with its deepness, And the rocks with their steepness, And the earth with its starkness: All these I place By God's almighty help and grace Between myself and the powers of darkness! I replaced Tara with Terra( Earth), as is appropriate for the circumstance, and "myself" with "my world". You can replace "God" if necessary. If you have faith and conviction, saying this will bring the light of Hope, and allow Joy into the world. Matiko-san Pogo I despise them both so honestly I didn't vote WHY?! Dude, Bush is projected to have 34 electoral votes already. You're letting people decide your fate, especially as a gay man. Do you want to lose your right to marriage? Do you wanna lose your rights to equal benefits in the workplace? Do you wanna end up loosing all your rights because you're gay? Hypocrite, much? I'm glad you came around, but he's just speaking from the same position you were taking before. JoVo Damian Myrddin I just heard this from school, but I heard that if Kerry wins, Arnie will run for president for the Republicans o.o' Is this true? >_> I don't know much about the government of USA XD!!!! So slap me :O (Cuz I just love that XD)He may run in the primaries, but I don't think he'll get far. He's too... Austrian. And there are several interest groups inside the party that don't like him all that much. He can't be President for the same reason I can't. We aren't native-born, although we're citizens. Also, do you really think he'd be elected? Although, Reagan... JoVo we've already had a president who was an actor. Reagan, anyone? AND he was Governor of Cali first.

Matiko-san Girl, if Bush wins, I'm moving to Canada. You know quite well that that won't help one bit. Paul Martin is a right-leaning Liberal. That's ironic, They're called Liberal when they're actually more moderate, lead by a right-leaning leader. We are almost at the mercy of the US (ever heard of "sleeping next to an elephant"?). The only thing that keeps us separate is our ability to ridicule nearly everything about ourselves. We know we're ******** up and almost revel in it. Crafty It took me almost an hour to vote. One of the things on the ballot was a SQ to make our already horrible gay marriage laws even worse. SQ? What does this mean? Anyway, we had a student vote here the other day. I voted libertarian. Nader wasn't on the ballot. Ther person at the desk said he was. I yelled at her... stressed Not that it mattered anyway, It wasn't a real vote. But whatever.

Just Kerry and Bush. We had the Prohibition party. God I hate living in this state. The city's fine, it's just the state. Hell, the whole region can go there. hello all, sadly I didn't vote... was going to register but had a lot of family issues that clogged my mind at the time and todally spaced it out...
really doesn't matter seeing how MA went right to Kerry anyways, but i am still mad at myself xp
