That made her laugh. "I remember Starry, she used to pick me up and hug me when I was little. You have a good mama." It was a bit surprising to think she was almost as big as the Pae she remembered as a baby. Growing up was so weird.

He nodded slowly "Yeah...she's great." The male then laughed. "Oh I know I was an odd child. Ran from every girl I met thinking they were infested with cooties." Shageki shook his head in mirth. "And I keep hearing about from my parents how when I was just a baby, not even a toddler, I rolled onto a surf board and started to sail out into the water!"

Giggling at the thought of baby Shage on a surfboard, she couldn't help but pound the sand. "I think the worst thing I did was stop growing. It really was an accident, but I remember mama was so worried. She stayed on Telrunya for a long time when I did that. Though poor Aleylia got tossed off the side of the island! Can you believe Venedrian sometimes?"
It was horrible!

"but growing isn't in your control." Shageki softly spoke, trying his hand at being comforting. "ah! Did you eat any weird fruits?" The male lightly frowned. "My dad once told me he ate some strange fruit and it made him bigger. Maybe there's a fruit out there that makes you stay the same?"

Shiva shook her head. "No, I haven't had fruit in a very long time. I mostly just eat, well, whatever I find really. Haven't found fruit. I think." She tugged on her rings, knocking the metal together as she thought about it.
"I do remember freezing myself though. I know that was my fault."

He blinked at her slightly. "You...froze yourself? Like...in a thing of ice?" sweatdrop That couldn't be very safe!

"Not really. I kinda froze my growth...well. Whatever tells my body that it has to grow. I froze those, because I tried to use my power to freeze something big and I wasn't very good at freezing things back then. It wasn't good, it was actually sort of painful."

His eyes widened. "Really?" The male shook his head. "It must be a bit scary then. Having a power like that." Shageki looked down at his hands. "I can only assemble things...I can't really harm myself like that." The male then frowned. He was the only one getting it off easy. Rakens animals attacked him...his father used to randomly slip...tristen charmed a giant squirrel and it tried to eat him...even dayht and niday had their problems, and they were his age.

"That sounds useful to so many people though. Really, the only ones I'm useful to, are those that need to break things, destroy things, or need existing ice to use their powers." It wasn't a use she was particularly fond of.
She was a good person, underneath the vanity and self-absorption.
"But I melted when summer was over! So it's not such a bad thing! And my looks make up for it!" With that, she jumped up, and posed for her friend, laughing.

"but your power is very useful. You can defend yourself if attacked. Like freeze a savage bear. What am I going to do? Re-assemble a computer and hope the internet can quickly tell me it's weakness before getting mauled?" Shageki grinned though, putting his hands up and forming a rectangle with his fingers. He peered at her through the opening like he was taking a picture. "Beautiful, beautiful! With a good camera man, a producer and some acting skills you'll have your name up in lights in no time!" The demonic lightly teased

"Yes, but the lights might melt me! You never know, I might be MADE of ice somehow?" That was interesting. Could she really encase herself in ice? She knew she could do that to other Pae, but not for long.
"And I don't know how long I could freeze the bear. Living things give off heat, and my ice is for more momentary things. I could perhaps kill the bear, and I would not want to do that."

"That is why you could only preform in the really cold seasons. Preferably outside." His grin didn't die immediatly, lingering on even as he went to responding for the bear comment. "Ah, but you could freeze it just long enough for you to...run up a tree or flee. Something like that." Shageki was earnestly enjoying shiva's company. It had been a while since he had just sat down and talked to someone. It was actually quite...interesting

Walking back towards the beach, Shiva's rings were clinking against one another, double-tempo to her pace. She was thinking fiercely, and it was seriously bothering her.
She felt bad that she'd had to spring up and leave Shage that day, but she saw something she couldn't understand, and had to find out what it was before it became more troublesome.
Her little sister was her age now. Her little sister! Before Shiva knew it, everyone would be older than her and she would be the only teen on Telrunya!
Well, at least Shage wasn't in a hurry to grow up. They were meeting for another talk outing today, he said he'd had a ton to tell her in his message.
"I wonder what is up?"

Shageki sat on the sand dune that shiva had left him. He...had eaten one of those...weird fruits. The male looked down at his big hands. He hadn't ment to. The male was hungry and...it looked safe. He shook his head. Shiva...what was shiva going to think of him now?

So deep in thought was the Ice Pae, that she didn't even notice that her friend was bigger, until she was standing right over him. Even then, she stopped, and had to look down to realize that his head came up above her waist. Wait.
Had it done that before?
