clueless-in-the-forest he trusted her in reckoning 3nodding doesn't that mean anything? stare No, because ultimately he didn't trust her in Reckoning. DestineChaos If it where up to Clark with what Clark wants, He would tell Lana his secret and ask her to marry him... As a matter of fact he did that once... kinda... In Reckoning. But then Lana was being chased down by a drunken Lex and hit by a bus in a rather nasty accident causing her to roll over 4 times and die... He didn't have to keep his secret in Reckoning. He could have told her and still saved her, and even if he felt he couldn't, there was no reason for him to believe that every time he told her something like that would happen. Chloe knows, and Chloe's fine: Clark knows this.

I agree with Foetus on this one. I mean Chloe tried to reason with him in Reckoning too, he could save her, tell her about he accident but Clark said no no no. And as Martha said, maybe somewhere in your mind, you don't think Lana is "the one." If Clark really really loved her, respected her enough, and actually cared for her, he would tell her and let her make up her own mind on her view of him other then being a coward and giving her the "I'm protecting you," excuse all the time. In the six seasons this show has been on, Lana has only wanted one thing from Clark, the truth. If Clark really wanted to be with Lana the least he could do was give her that and work out all of the other hardships that go with it because also in Reckoning, Lana accepted his secret and didn't get all "omg you killed my mommy and daddy, die!"

Well he kinda told Pete. Chloe found out and Clark accepted that. If both of your best friends where okay with it when they found out why not your girlfriend, the one you claimed to love?
Don't give me the same crap "oh well he was trying to protect her thing." talk2hand

Alright Duh Smallville Factoid: Lex will stop at nothing to find out Clarks secret....
Lex knows the only thing standing between Clark and Lana is Clarks 'secret'... Lex figured out that Clark told her his secret in a matter of seconds, Seeing how Lana Co-owns the Tallen with Lex and Lives now lives in the monsters layer... How exactly is she going to avoid Lex? I mean when it comes down to it what's more important to Lex: The women he's been lieing too and playing like a fiddle or the thing he's been obsessing over for the better part of six seasons?
Besides Chloe and Pete were not as close to Lex as Lana is...

Besides Chloe and Pete were not as close to Lex as Lana is... That was hard to read. Today on Let's learn to spell, Talon and Lair. Good job! The class is already over, you passed! Ok, yes Lex is obesessed with Clark's secret, but he let that go for a long time. Yes Lex would eventually find out if Lana knew but it isn't like he would just look into her eyes and figure out he is an alien. Anyways, if Clark was truthful in the first place she wouldn't have gotten so close to Lex other then being mutual platonic business partners. Plus, Lex wasn't obsessing over Lana for the better part of six seasons. He had Victoria, Desiree and Helen to keep him preoccupied, and back then he was friends with Clark so wouldn't even think about doing anything with Lana. His feelings only became real when they were revealed to him and Lana in Onyx and progressed after that.

@Zach - Not really a Lexana only fan. I like all the couples. They all have their pros and cons that make them unique. biggrin

Some have more cons than pros, some don't have any at all because they haven't flown the coup yet, some are too good to be true and then you wake up from the dream (like reckoning and labyrinth). xd

Reckoning wasn't a dream but I was right about the too good to be true thing. Things that are usually way too wonderful usually end up back where they used to be.... at least that is how it happens on TV. I mean if everything was peachy all of the time, who would watch?
Anyways, I didn't like Clark in this episode because unlike other times when he was on red k, this time he was malicious and totally evil. Especially with the rattle because that means he put thought into his evil plan making it that much worse!

Aww I know Lana died bunches of times before, but it was actually sad when she died in the car accident...
What're you talking about, Clark was evil in one form or another everytime he was on Red K... Well with the exception of when he married Alicia...

Things that are usually way too wonderful usually end up back where they used to be.... at least that is how it happens on TV. I mean if everything was peachy all of the time, who would watch? Everyone was also really out of character. Lana finally had proof that Clark had been lying to her the whole time, and that didn't fase her; the Kents were overly-giddy about the prospect of their teenage son getting engaged, especially when his relationship with Lana, up to that point, had been rocky. If they wanted to make that believable, they should have had a few scenes with Lana and the Kents together in the episodes immediately preceding. I just kept waiting for Clark to wake up.

The episode was good but unoriginal. I mean Clark has been on red K for like four episodes. The whole idea of people not having control over their um... urges has been done too many times too like hypnotic and devoted.
