Kaleb poked at him, sorely tempted to just open up a portal at his feet. "Most of my research is based on science and hypothesis testing, it would be impossible for me to stick to one or the other."

"Yea and i use Mako which is technically magic. It still stands that yer better at magic than i am." He may not have bee better at science thank Kaleb but he was made of it.

Kaleb let that comment stand as they reached the front doors to the office building and went in. "You should still try and get used to the portals," he said once they were in th elevator on the way up to the office.

"If i don't are ya gonna shove me through'em?" He looked back at Kaleb with a raised brow. That wouldn't be fun if what Reno said happened was true.

Kaleb gave him a completely blank expression. "That wouldn't be my preferred method for getting you used to them."

Kaleb nodded, and was glad Riley hadn't pressed him further. It would be good if both of them could use the portals without the dizzying side-effects, and the possible benefits might just be worth the guilt he would feel pushing Riley through them without his permission to work up some tolerance. He shook off that train of thought, now rather eager to get to the office and enjoy the novelty of having a couch to study on rather than just that chair.

Reno eyed them as they walked back toward his office but he ignored the other red-head. Heading into his office he looked at the couch. Yea there was still plenty of room even with that in there.

Kaleb chirped a friendly greeting at Reno when he saw him before following Riley into his office. With a delighted smile, he took his book off Riley's desk and curled up on a corner of the couch to read. It was so much more comfortable than that chair.

He sat back down at his computer and went about going though the seciruty files again.
Now that those two were back he could find out if Riley wanted anything for lunch when he ordered stuff. He leaned into their office before speaking. "So who wants what from the deli down the stree...." He stared at the couch across the room. "When the ******** you get a couch?"

Kaleb glanced up from his book and grinned at Reno. "Earlier," he replied in a very unhelpful manner, shifting a bit so he didn't have to turn his head so much to see him.

"I want a philly cheese steak .... get Kaleb one of those saled wrap things." He looked up at Reno. "And yea, eariler"
He eyes the couch for a moment before he turned around to look at Rude and Tseng. "How come i don't get a ******** couch?"

"I-I really don't need anything," Kaleb muttered to Riley, but he didn't tell Reno not to get him the food. He fidgeted a bit as Reno stared at the couch, and tried to go back to his reading.

"That's exactally why you don't have a couch." He sighed. "And no one else does either"
"They do. Kaleb's sittin on it." He pointed over his shoulder at the couch and Kaleb.
Frowning he got up to go look at whatever Reno was going on about. Looking past the red head he noticed the couch. "How .... I didn't authorize that"
He just grinned at Tseng and kept working. Tseng also hadn't said they couldn't so there was always that.

Kaleb glanced up, a little surprised to hear Tseng put off guard even only slightly. He quickly looked down at his book and bit his lip, hoping Tseng wouldn't get mad at him for transporting unauthorized couches.
