boconnotto Since there was so much talk about petticoats before...
Built-in tulle petticoats: good idea or asking for trouble right off the bat?
my meta has somewhat of a built in petti. it makes it poofy w/o a petti so its perfect for hot days when having to wear a blouse under it (as its a jsk) it just enough. for warmweather girls like us i think its great. like bloomers.

Well, I kind of meant in the sense of building one yourselffff... Such as, is it more difficult to build a full petticoat for under skirts, or to sew a built-in petticoat for a skirt? Sorry for not being more specific before.

I hate to ask a rather idioticsounding question, but, how would one suggest to put back very very long hair ((a little longer than waist length)) that doesn't hold curls very well. I've been curious about this for a bit, a little worried about doing it completely wrong. sweatdrop

Have you tried using Lamaur Vita/e ultra hold hairspray? It works the best (keeps your hair soft whiel still holding it! ) And what types of curls are you doing? I've gotten sausage curls to stay in when using that brand of hairspray. <3

I'm having trouble in getting curls too, I use rollers every so often though. I also really don't have alot of time to do may hair, so do you know any way to possibly style with out curling it?

Oh I really like this guide ^^ It seems really resourceful ^^ But when it comes to building the wardrobe... I'm more of fan of a QiLolita and I still haven't gotten anything on that.. But I'm not sure on where I can usually find stuff on sites. Or places..

Not really, I always curl it for lolita or leave it straight down. :C I don't ever use curlers though, I use a curling iron. It's one of those cheap $15 ones from Wal-Mart and it is <3. It comes with attachments to make it a straightener, crimper, curler, and sausage curler. Have you tried getting a little bit of mousse and putting it in your hands then running your hands through your hairs and scrunching it to get a messy curly/wavy look? I used to do that a lot.

Ahhh... That's not a problem for me anymore. I chopped my hair. I'm trying to think of a good way to style it now. It's a razor/bob cut now.

If we all followed insanely strict rules - the fashion would never develope. No new lines would be created, unless you think that only big brand name designers are allowed freedom of creativity? That's just silly.
People make their own clothes for a reason, people need to express themselves.
Good, strong outlines are a must but Lolita has so many sub-genres, so much creativity just ready to be grasped that you cannot confine it into one little box.
