Well, Tom could of done a little better...Or maybe it was just the character.

The problem was definitely not with Welling's acting in this episode, and I really don't think it was the directing, either. If there was a problem with the episode, it was the writing (and, frankly, it often is) and personally I feel like the last ten or so minutes at the end were like a lead weight dragging the whole episode down.

Tom did great in the episode. So kid Kristin; she did a great job being the carefree Lana from season 1 and 2. Ya know, no knowledge of the turmoil she would have gone through. Michael had to be the best though. I really felt for him when he was in the wheelchair.

I totally agree. The writing often brings the storyline down a bit (one of the only reasons I find myself liking Buffy better than Smallville...it's better written). But yeah, I didn't even mind the Clana in the alternate reality because it wasn't real. but very true that those last 10 minutes just made everything worse (well, except that Clark and Lex were kinda "cordial" to each other. That wasn't too bad.)

That was about it. I was disappointed that Martian Manhunter didn't get a lot of screen time. What, only three lines?

I was SOOO mad about the Clana. I can't believe they brought it up again. I mean Lana is freakin pregant and engaged. Can't she have ANY dignity.

Shelby was wicked awesome in this episode. I love how she kinda "saved" the day. That was totally awesome.

The Chlark friendship was really cute in this. I was really glad they brought it in. I was hoping that if Chlark love can't happen then Chloe will play matchmatcher between Lois and Chlark so they can get over their broken hearts. Chloe seemed way too amused at the attraction between her best friends and I bet she would love to see them together. If only to just have a laugh at all their couple squabbles. xd
Woah, what did Lana do wrong?

If you haven't already guessed I"m not a huge Lana fan in general. Or at least "good" Lana. I like it when Lana goes all evil side kick to Lex's villian. I think it fits her personality more. I mean they have been bringing it up for a long time. She turns into a witch twice, a vampire, kisses Zod, and threatens people for Lex. It is just annoying to see her revert to goody two shoes Lana, which is the one that Clark fell in "love" with. Both have changed dramatically and I really think its past tiem to move on. Also I'm a supporter of a people not cheating on their fiances. Besides Lana just annoys me in general. Can you say prep turned b*tch? heart

I like the evil Lana too. I mean the bimboish cheerleader dating QB needing saving all the time is really annoying and old. I really want her to leave Clark behind and embrace the darkness, but of course not, never happens like that. stare

Tom did WAYYY, way, wayyyy better acting and directing this time. Last time his charecter was definitly changed. I mean, Clark is nice and all but the way he was with that little girl, was very un clarkish (if you ask me). Tom still has a way to go, but I think he's having good progress. xp

crying NUH! I didn't like when Chloe died, I balled my eyes OUT! I'm really glad that Clark didn't tell her that in his "dream" she was crazy and not working at the daily Planet. But the Chlark moment was amazing when he was telling her how she was the only one who believed him! heart

I actually really liked the episode (beside the whole Chloe's death ordeal. obviously. ) But i thought it was really cool how they had Clark's fantasy world configured and I absolutely LOVED MMH and how Chloe gave him his name! blaugh

It wasn't that sad...After all it was an alternate reality.

I think it was sad at some point or another. Alternate realities have a line of truth in them and the phantom based it on the real world so yeah.
