My school has an anime club, but none of the people in it know of the wonders of the internet and fansubbing D:
But of course, I've only been to half of one meeting, so I can't be too sure...
And of course, I feel like skipping out on the meetings for marching band, so...yeah...

my college is mostly for online classes although we do have a few group courses where physical attendance is required.
so there are not many real clubs.
but when you stop to think about it, which should that prevent an anime club? in fact, it could be the perfect opportunity for us to have a real club like the other colleges.

My friend started an anime club but I never went. They showed all the anime my friend had that I had seen already and I'v read most of the manga that was brought. I have my usual spot where I hang out with my friends and we talk about what we are interested in and thats... anime... manga and RPing. It's my own little anime club in a way with people I really know and am comfortable with.
I'm kind of shy around new people anyways. I also wouldn't want to lend out stuff of mine to people I hardly knew. My school did find out about the anime fade and stocked up on manga. O_o It was interesting. I found a few that I had never read and now own the complete set for myself. ^_^

Ugh... I just entered high school, and they have a large variety of clubs unlike middle school. Anyways, they have an anime club, and I attended the first meeting.

We don't have clubs of any sort at our school. confused Well, that's not entirely true. There's just no clubs started by students because you can't do that at my school. There's drama club and choire and stuff like that, but they were all started by teachers. The sports clubs all sort of disappeared, because there were too few sports teachers... anyway, that's beside the point. ^^;; I would join an anime club, if there was one, but sadly there isn't, so I won't. XD
The poll won't let me vote.

There's nothing even like that in this area and I believe anything like that is unheard of as well... I'd love to join an anime club if there was one in my area.

I'm not part of a club, but I have been a volunteer for a few years for Sakura-con, a big anime convention in seattle, sea-tac. Last year i was staff. mrgreen Next year Sakura-con will be next held at the big convention center in downtown seattle. I may be attending next year. This year i have also attended Anime-expo for my first time... omg eek the dealers room was huge! The staff was very inexperienced tho and the orginization sucked. soon i will be joining staff for AnimeEvolution, in BC, vancouver, canada. A few of my friends are staff, and chad, (the con-chair) is an awesome guy. I dont know him that well but a few of my friends see him on daily bases. mrgreen Hoping to see gaians at AnimeEvolution next year 3nodding
