Thanks for outlining. I hope they NEVER do that though. D8 What I wonder is why doesn't the video game industry follow in the footsteps of the movie industry and start releasing the approved version of a game and then two months later release the uncut/unrated version? As far as I understand it, retailers have basically been forced to carry unrated/director's cut movies because of the customer's demand. So why not do the same thing with video games? Unrated movies are usually marked in an obvious manner to make the customer notice that this isn't the same as the MMPA approved version, so why not do the same with video games? Big-time retailers only refuse to stock AO games because of a perceived notion that the customers won't buy it... on the otherhand, unrated movies fly off the shelves. One very simple reason; VG's to not do this is because it takes A LOT more time and money to edit programs in VGs than it does in movies.

I guess we should be thankful it was just a stabbing and kidnapping (though, I fail to see much corelation between that and the game's content- well, maybe the kidnapping of a lass); hopefully there won't be any bomb scares at nuclear reactors where the police find an explosive with "with love from AVALANCHE" written on the side.

Yeah, FFVII did violate a lot of rules........And the rating (T) doesn't seem that appropriate for FFVII. sweatdrop With all the terrorism stuff and sexual references. (honeybee inn)

I'd like to see the costumes they were dressed in. I find it strange that they chose Reno to go along with Sephiroth. Why not Kadaj or one of Jenova's followers? I'll be interested in what there defense is. I wonder what they’ll say, Jenova made me do it? That will be funny. It’s dumb that they blame this on video games, especially FFVII. There are much worse games out there, and they’re worried about FFVII.

PenguinMasta Im german and some of my friends go around pretending that we are characters and beat each other with swords we made in woodshop but real swords and the actually killing of someone i mean us germans have been known for our mass murders but cmon cant they at least use a phoenix down on the person they killed? *chuckle snort* that made my day! anyway,since I never posted here,I'll say my fair share of my opinion:
Why FFVII?It's just a japanese game for cripe's sake!Suure,it violated a lot of rules,but that's because it's a japanese game,and besides,someone approved of the game to be translated and sent through so why blame the creators and the game if it's the translator's fault for shipping through to their country's?And why bought the games/gave them the money to buy the game?

FFVII isn't a killer game until a corporation is established that sucks up magma for an energy source.
It's fiction: nothing else. I am a fan of FPS's but you don't see me shooting other people.
