kaemaut There's rumors floating around that we're having a Japanese themed show next year, complete with a sword fight. Sadly, our BDs aren't dropping any hints as to whether it's true or not. We did a Japanese anime theme last year. At first we were all like "wtf anime music??" (well I wasn't because I actually like anime), but then we all grew to love it.

The Godfather seems like something awesome. I like the marching shows with storylines like ours had last years...The Life and Times of Billy the Kid.
But, this year, our big theme was originally going to be called: Music (surprise, surprise). But, it sounded really, really cool with the ideas he had for us. Alot of drill though. It was going to be Jazz songs and Christmas songs that people knew and would recognize.
Now, since the Drumline got music early, it looks like we're doing music from Bach; like the first 4 movements of his symphony. The music sounds cool but I wish we had a better, more exciting theme.

Penguin.Ninjas.Attack Our show for 2007 is most likely going to be "Halloween". Our school is orange and black, after all! Songs are: Toccata and Fugue Karn-evil 9 Love song from Jackel and Hyde (The boradway show) Night on Bull Mtn. It's still really rough (even though our BD has been thinking about a show like this in is head for about 5 years), but we're going to be zombies (some will chase judges and 'eat' some fake ones) for the first and last song. Story behind the show is that we are a marching band that died in some horrible marching accident. We did British Invasion this last year, and we did Karn Evil 9 as well, its such a fun song.

Our band played Toccata and Fugue for marching band 3 years ago in our "Spirits of the Night" show. It was awesome. mrgreen
I'm not sure what music we're playing for marching band yet. I know my band director is thinking about a show called "Storm", but it's not definite yet. The music sounds really cool, so I hope we get to do that.

Our show is 'Simon & Garfunkel'. my director is writing the music himself, and told us that the first movement is going to be at 176. It'll be AMAZING if we can pull that off right |D;

xD;WOW! My school was the first school to play 'The Hypar Effect' and we also did the 'Clocks' show, before Hypar though, but it was called Fruition. biggrin John Meehan? Yes. I wonder what were doing this year...I have fitness classes with my visual instructor and he gave us a hint for '07 show. It has something about scenes...

This year our band's doing a show about hitler and the Nazi's and the Jewish people... yeah. I know it sounds pretty bad, but the music's really moving and I think overall people will like it. I mean, they can't get mad about us marching a show that doesn't show actual death, and it's not like the band is making the Jewish or Nazis the bad guys. The music's amazing for it. It's called, To This Heartbeat, There is no End. It's amazing. I can't wait to start marching it this year. I'm so excited! whee
