Golden Ryne hated to show off...Really she did. But her magic was well developed. The flames were jumping over her body and in the air around her. She looked up at Kaji.
" Am I doing well Sir?" she asked innocetly.

Renka sighed and moved her drawing to the side as she made a small fire ball come up from her palm, then she tried to make it go to one of her finger tips and as soon as she did that, tried to make it jump to the next finger tip.

*she makes a small fireball appear anh shifts it to her fingertip. she does it again but more carefully*

Kaji looked over at Golden Ryne, observing the flames around her. "Yes, for control. Now, a formation please," he said in an authoritive tone. He then looked over to check all the other students quickly before turning back to her. Arai concentrated on the flame, and it began to slowly form a shape. It twisted and turned, then formed a beautiful rose of flames. Ten it winked out. Arai sat back in her seat, tired but satisfied. At least she had done it.
Mei looked aroung the room as her students began to try to form dark energy spheres. She walked among them, stopping here and there to offer encouragement and criticism, but mostly criticism.

Renka made the fire larger and making it into a small fire cat sitting, but it was as big as her eye and quickly died out.
At least I did it, even that size. Renka thought, if she ever wanted to look like what she drew she'd have to get better and never give up on it.

Ryne saw the Renka liked cats...So she furrowed her brow in concentration. Soon a life size cat was sitting in front of Golden Ryne. The cat was very well detailed, down to the shape of the whiskers. Sweat was pouring down into the elf maids eyes...She struggled to keep herself under control

Renka looked at Ryne make the cat and was in awe, but then saw that she was struggling to control it, she grabbed her drawing and looked at it.

Kaji looked around the room again, then nodded. "Very nice! You all have a fair amount of talent. All you need is practice." Turning back to Golden Ryne, he said," That was well done, though you could use a bit more practice with your control when actually using your fire. It will be easier to use fire magic in a battle if you have complete control." Adressing the whole class, he said," That last bit applies to all of you. I want you all to practice controlling your fire magic out side of class. No big stuff though, and make sure you're somewhere safe, like by the river, before you start." He grinned boyishly at all of them. "We dont want any fires in the building now, do we?" Then, a bell rang loudly from the main office. "Alright, class dismiswsed, but be prepared for a bit tougher stuff tomorrow. After all, we got to train for your first mission." Arai nodded, then got up and left the room, heading out of the building to the river because it was her free period.
Mei looked up as the bell rang. "Alright, class dismissed. And try to be on time tomorrow," she said to the class. She then watched as the students quickly left the room.

Mei glanced at Cherish. "Cherish, why don't you try?" Cherish nodded. "Yes ma'am." She murmured. Cherish held her hands apart and focused. Soon enough, a small ball of darkness formed. It grew and grew and grew until it was about the size of her head. Cherish gasped and slammed her hands together for fear the ball would grow any bigger. Small wisps of dark matter fell out of her tight grasp and disintegrated. Mei nodded. "You've got a lot of power, Cherish. And no problem letting it out. It's control you need to learn." Cherish bowed her head while her face flushed deeply.

Renka gathered her papers on her desk and left, not knowing that she left the drawing that she was looking at during class behind on the ground with her name on it. She went to the river, but sat on the edge of the river with her feet in the water and she made a fire ball on her palm.

Arai arrived by the river bank and saw another girl, the one from her fire magic class, sitting there as well. Walking over to her, she said," Hey there, I'm Arai. What's your name?"

Arai sat down next to Renka with a sigh as the sunlight washed over her. Then she smiled at Renka, and said,"Nice to meet you. Are you a cat demon? Or do you just like cats? I'm a wolf demon....well, sorta."

"Yeah, I'm part cat demon and part fox demon"Renka said."But most people that were around me called me Half-Breed or Hybrid instead of my real name and they've had a broken bone sense"
