"I'll usher you guys through." Kai whipered. He figured noone wanted to be the closest to the snakes so he was going to have to be the one to do it. "Just stick by my side." he replied as he started to go around the bothersome critters.

Little ears twitched and listened intently to the chattering Ulaya nearby, ears that belonged to a young Ulaya by the name of Vaati.
He was perched in a tree, eyes literally aglow with darkness radiating from his pelt, flecks of glowing chartreuse near his extremities dimly illuminating the area around him.
On the whithering tree's limb he sat and he waited, awaited the arrival of the Ulaya whom possessed the chattering, argumentative voices that had been echoing through the still, eerie air.
His older sister, though not by much, had continued on without him. Normally she would attempt to cease his impish mischief, but these voices were unfamiliar, and so she had pressed on, knowing her brother would catch up once his task was complete. Perhaps it would slow them down.
So, onward she went, the voices growing more and more faint by the minute, towards one of the many exits of the forest she knew fairly well, something of which she had her brother to thank for.

Inari only made it halfway around where the snakes lay coiled when his body paused, stilling to listen into the darkness, the simple rubbing of scales echoing loudly in his mind. The sensation of being watched growing stronger each passing moment.
Glaringly red eyes surveyed the area closely, roaming over and up to withered, claw like branches, which appeared able to simply bend down and pluck one of them where they stood.
His concentration snapped as something silky wound its way across a paw. Irritable he shifted, moving away from the creature.

Crema looked at the snake's, they were unlike Ulaya, they sensed vibrations in the groub, if he didnt step or run, he wouldnt be bitten by them. "Inari, dont worry, they wont bite unless you irritate them, dont run eithr, it'll disturb the ground vibrations and spooke them." he walked calmly across.

Vaati watched them warily, though they were but small dots of colour from his standpoint. Their voices were muffled from the distance, but he could understand what they were saying. On the limb, he scooted back a little, concentrating on minimizing his chartreuse glow for fear of being seen before he could have a little fun.

Kai grinned to himself as he kept walking around the snakes. Kai stopped when he heard a little movement coming from the trees. 'Hmmmmmm..wonder what that could be..' he thought.

Inari ‘hum’d’ at Crema’s advice, voicing that he had heard him, but his attention was elsewhere.
Faint glowing flickered in and out of his vision – quite a ways off from where they stood.

"Keep moving you three..." Kai grumbled as he continued to walk foward. It seemed that the snakes were moving as a group and closer to their direction no less.

As the small group of Ulaya approached his perch, Vaati silently and stealthily went about his work. In his paws was a thin twig. How interesting it is, that such a small and simple object can instill one's hear with fear and doubt.
Concentrating on controlling his glow, he waited in the treetops, the chartreuse light barely noticeable and his breathing slow and silent.

Tulio had been walking along in a daze the entire time. Imagining what he could be eatting at home right now. He'd walked around snakes without even noticing. Though, if he had noticed, he'd probly scream like a little girl. "Hu?" He paused as he suddenly rememberd he was walking. He turned back to see Kai standing just behind him, staring upwards. Behind Kai was Crema, follwed closely by Inari. 'How'd I get soo far from him?' Tulio thought, Before retreting back to Ianri's side.

Inari grinned, raising an eyebrow at Tulio as seemed to snap from his daze. “Nice of you to join us again.”
He jerked his head slightly, for only Tulio to see, motioning above them to the faint green glow.

Kai snickered to himself as he listened to them back there. They were about three quarters of the way around the snakes. 'I'm never going to protect royalty ever again in my life.' he thought. They were just too much trouble.

Tulio glanced upward. He searched for a moment before his eyes landed on the small, faint greed glow. He looked back down at Ianri. "What's that? Some sorta bug?" Tulio wasn't afraid of bugs, but he vould deffenently do without them. Though the only bugs he knew to glow were fire flies. And they blink.

Vaati scowled, knowing his faint glow had been spotted. He had been to careless. He might have whispered some sort of obscenity, but it was much too inaudible to comprehend.
Now that he had been spotted, he cared not for how noticeable he was, and figured that by allowing his glow to return to its normal level he would seem more menacing than previously planned.
And so, he allowed his glowing extremities and eyes to burst back to their original brightness, which was much more so than prior. His eyes were narrowed with irritation, radiating with the eerie glowing light as his body did the same, but radiating darkness as opposed to chartreuse.
At this point, after glaring at his would-be victims, he turned tail and leapt on to another nearby branch, continuing this pattern until he would eventually catch up with his sister to tell her of his blunder.

Inari watched, for once not being able to conjure up any well placed words, as the previously faint glow exploded, eerie tendrils running off from what appeared to be a Ulaya body – though smaller than any he had seen.
His curiosity thoroughly peeked. His body tense in anticipation.
The air around him practically humm’d with suppressed energy. He watched only for a split moment as the other turned, moving along tree branches before his paws kicked up, tearing his way through thick woods, snakes and company completely forgotten.
Weaving easily through trees and vines, staying only just out of range from branches that clawed out.
He was underestimated, he knew, simply for the purple gem that sat on his forehead. His feet barely hit the ground before they were picked up again, moving him further, faster. If anything he was confident in his speed.
