L'Ange was some what furious, many people were not listening to the King, so she decided to get their attention, "The King is right, settle your diffrences later and show support! You all came here to give your alligeance, no?" With that, the crowd had stopped talking to listen to L'Ange, then turned their heads to the King, wondering if he had anything to say

The Steward watched silently from a distance. She found the general behavior distasteful. She had wanted to station a hatchet man to instantly behead those who behaved badly at the ceremony but the King shook his head. It was bad policy he stated earlier in the day. The great marble slabs in the floor of the throne room should not be grouted with the lives of the foolish. So she relented. And there was no hatchet man.

She made a note of those who caused a disturbance, fully prepared to dispatch them if it became necessary. She did not think the King would mind if his enthusiastic herd was thinned a little. Even now her secret assassin was wandering around. All she had to do was give a signal and people would be struck down.

When the Lady Ranger spoke, she swiveled her head to listen. The words were a plain, unflowered warning. That worked well for her own plans. She would watch the Ranger and when she showed irritation, the Steward would signal her person to strike.

She did hope that the ceremony would end soon. Too many people crammed in a room, even one as large as the throne room, were soon to be bored and may find themselves some type of entertainment. Such entertainment had almost surfaced already. She would keep a well trained eye out of other such displays and would respond mercilessly.

Gwyndara smiled chillingly. She knew that the steward and the Ranger would take care of the order of the place, but if need her Crimson Brigades stood ready to take anyone into custody as the king would have it.
She gave the crowd a chilling look. She would much rather have the day done with.

Haseo made his way for a tall column. He brushed away some dust before leaning up against it, his right leg over his left. "Geez...looks like I've made myself a little too known..." he muttered to himself.

The warrior felt a bit uneasy seeing all the higher class fighters keeping a close eye on everyone. If he was to stay out of trouble, he'd have to watch himself. "This could be one big death chamber..."

Her search had not been as easy as she had once thought. No her searching of the walls had been difficult at best for whoever the magus was that set the enchantments in place, had done his job, all too well. Still there was more than one way to skin a cat, and she was not about to give up yet. The fog descended, and moved about on the ground level, and the windows and doors like the walls were equally if not more so protected.

With no recourse, he body spread out further, and away from the castle. One possible entry was left to her, and as much as she did not relish the thought, there was no other choice. It was not a easy task as whoever had again placed the enchantments had covered this spot, and as she cursed she now wanted nothing more than to drain the magus dry. The illusion in place was perfect, but she was a vampire, and so patience and years of experience had won out. The thought began to sicken her again, but she continued forth into the small pipe.

The pipe was not large enough to allow humanoids within, but it did work in allowing the aquaduct system to the castle to do its job, and that was the removal of bodily waste. Gratings closed off the pipe in certain areas, but this was nothing for someone like her. Easily she drifted through them, and finally found her way into the dungeon levels. Her body spread out, and continued to rise futher into the castle. The Enchantments to keep her out were excellent, but now that she finally was inside there would be less obstacles.

The castle within as she reached the upper levels was of fine craftsmanship, and the decor clearly spoke of the wealth of whoever the ruler was. Her senses detected the magical golem guardians, and other protective magics. It was finally settled, she would meet this mage.

Finally voices could be heard and it was there that she would go next. She easily rolled into the room, and everyone she was sure would react in some way, but by then she would have reached her destination. Upon the throne she saw the leader, and it would him that she would go to next.

Upon the floor in front of the leader, she began to take shape and form once again. She had appeared upon her knees before him, as for now she would relent to such formalities. Mortals did have such ego's.

Once her body was fully formed, she spread arms outward, and bowed down further. She presented herself to the man totally submissive.

"My Lord, I am the Countess DeWynter, Patriarch Vampire. I have awaken, and sensed your mission. I find that it intrigues me, as I do not wish my sleeps to be disturbed by rampage of thrill seakers and grave robbers. Good or evil I care not, for I am too old to really consider such things anymore. So, I present to you an accord. In the return of keeping the lands as they currently are, I the Countess DeWynter offer you my allegience, and fealty."

With that, she awaited, and slowly rose. She approached the Leader, and presented her wrist to him, but only after slicing it open with her fangs, offering her blood to him.

Sir Elton looked at the unknown guy on the pillar who he didn't want to know, then back at the King all the while popping gobstoppers in his mouth that came from nowhere.

fallowing rose to the throne room he couldn't wait to meet the king that had made such a home for his beloved. when reaching the room calzic kisses rose and proceeds in the room to the front of the group.

when his chance came up he proclaimed to the king. "i am calzic of the dra'gon clan, and i pledge my aliegance to you, the man who took in my beloved rose and kept her safe, and to prove my loyalty i give you this."

removing his gloves calzics hands flamed from the palms, pressing his hands together he began forcing as much energy as he could into them. thunder and light came from inside the cocoon his hands formed. after a few minutes the thunder subsided and the light faded. opening his grip he pulled out a clear pearl with a glowing center from his palm and placed it in front of the king. "call me when you need of me. my powers are yours"

after putting on his gloves he takes a bow he proceeded to the back of the room and out the door to reunite with his love.

With that, she awaited, and slowly rose. She approached the Leader, and presented her wrist to him, but only after slicing it open with her fangs, offering her blood to him.

The King watched as the woman walked towards him. He was amazed with her audacity to having come to the Castle, but he could not help but be intrigued by her presence as she had some how found a way into the Castle without being molested by one of its defenses.

Still his reality snapped back upon him as he realized again that she had offered to him her blood. He smiled a little bit, as he took her hand. Droplets of blood continued to fall upon the marble floor. As he was sure everyone including the Countess was shocked and wondering what the King intended, he merely bowed his head some, and feigned accepting her offer, but his lips did not touch the offered blood.

His head remained bowed for a moment longer, and slowly his head and gaze locked on to hers. His smile was gone, and his eyes bore into hers. His voice was silent, and its tone deadly.

"I accept your conditions, and agree to your accord. Know this though Countess, that if you dare betray me, nothing will prevent me from exacting my revenge upon you."

His smile slowly returned. His voice returning to normal so that everyone present could hear.

"Thank you for your tribute, and welcome to my Castle. You will of course be afforded the respect due your station as a Countess. I am sure my Steward and Captain of the Guard will speak with you directly to make sure any special accommodations are taken care of."

Vivi looked the new vampire patriarch up and down. Vampires interested the alchemist to no end. How was it that death made one stronger? What stopped the decaying process? What kept them living? Did they pocess a soul?

One of these days she would have to pull Miss DeWynter to the side and pick her brain.

As soon as the blood came from the beatiful patriarch's wrist, Vivi sighed and looked away. What a way to profess loyalty! But, it must have been an offering.

Vivi witnessed something very simular before. However, the person who was offered the blood lapped it up greedly in the other case.

She was glad to see that the King did not.

Haseo raised an eyebrow at the vampress. "More and more surprises. The moment I see a rabbit assassin, I'm going to admit that I'm insane," he said to himself as he shifted from one foot to the other; Haseo was still leaning against the column.

She grinned some in the manner which the King avoided her blood. She refrained from laughing, but it did bring a glint to her eye. Even the threat he had made to her, though laudible, still in some odd way pleased her.

She bowed her head to the King.

"I trully believe, My Lord, that this will be the beginning of a wonderful relationship."

With that her wound closed instantly, and still bowing to some extent, she slowly backed away. One more deeper bow was given to him before she turned, and joined the rest of the crowd.

Vivian looked up at the King and a bit of a sigh escaped her. She would like to get a chance to sit down and talk to him one of these day. A man who ruled a kingdom probably knew a lot about certain things. She titled her goggles slightly down just enough that her long lashes and a hint of gray poked out from them.

Another mind she would have to pick.

With a long finger she pushed her goggles the full way back on her face. Her hands went behind her back in a position of attetion and respect. Eddicate was important and she would not disobey court politics.

Eirwin was at the back of the room, not daring to come foreword. She wore her Fey Tunic, but since the king was here she should have changed into her court dress. She looked at the Magus, whom she pereived as vain. She didn't get along with them nor did she care for the knights. She acted as if she were bored as she leant back onto the cold stone wall of the room.

Eirwin was not alone for long as Jhaccara approached her. She had been moving about the room watching people, and she noticed the new ranger in the room. She approached her.

"Ranger, the King as requested everyone state there intent, so get up there."

Jhaccara's eyes began to glow yellow.

"Be sure to show your respect to the King also."
