Zach stopped rubbing his arm as a confused look crossed his face. He put his left arm, which was no longer asleep, behind his head. "Umm.... No, you just.... Can't run up to random people. It's not always going to be someone like me or Kaine.......Plus... I just..... Don't like people..... That's why you freaked me out so much."

"Oh, so you're not mad. I'm glad. When I was bad at the lab they were really mean to me when I wasn't good. I promise I'll behave from now on." She smiled. She just couldn't help it though. She wanted to meet and make friends with all the nice people in the world.

Zach sat back down under the tree and smiled. "No, of course I'm not mad. I'm usually freaked out, content, or happy. As for behaving, well, I havn't really seen you do anything wrong yet. If you do I'll be sure to tell ya, but I don't think that's gonna happen anytime soon!" Zach leaned back against the tree, his nostrils twitching from the still-present smell. "Man, shouldn't that smell have past by now?"

Once cleaned of the various chemicals on her, Olivia gave into her rumbling stomach, looking for food that hadn't spoiled. With a sigh she shut the door, resolving to set the fridge on fire to get rid of all the growth. "Oh well" she muttered as she limped to the pantry, "I'll just have a small dinner. Pasta wont be that bad of a lunch" Pulling the noodles out of the pantry and a ziploc baggie of frozen meat from the freezer, she set about her task. Within a minute the kitchen was alive, meat defrosting in the microwave, pasta slowly wilting, and tomato sauce cooking next to it. "Maybe I should invite someone..." She muttered as she pulled a loaf of pre-made garlic bread from the freezer, dusting off the ice before opening the bag. She'd let it defrost naturally, only took a couple minutes to warm anyways. "But who would want to come? It's past noon, and on such short notice." She sighed, taking the thawed meat from the micro wave, setting about to turn it into meatballs.

Budgie then smelt food. Her stomach rumbled. She hadn't really finished her garbage lunch, so she was still quite hungry. She slipped away from the others and found the source of the smell from a house. She wondered if there was anyway she could sneak in. She was so hungry. Should she risk knocking on the door. She decided to and quickly dashed away, making sure it was a friendly someone who answered the door before exposing herself.

Olivia blinked softly and looked up from making the meatballs. "Who could it be?" She muttered to herself, wondering if she was going to have guest after all. "I guess I'm lucky then. Mom always said make enough for two more people." With a small smile she she went to the door, only regretting after she opened it that she didn't put on any long pants or sweater, making the prosthetics very noticeable. "Must be some kids playing a prank" she said with a small shrug, closing the door and returning to the preparations, sizzling meat joining the smells drifting from the house.

Budgie smiled, the person looked nice. She'd seen enough bad people to know when someone was bad or not. Even so, that food was just too good to pass up again. She just wished she could hide her wings. Budgie noticed some trashcans. With a burst of quick thinking, she pulled a trashbag over her body to hide her wings. Budgie knocked on the door again and didn't leave.

Olivia sighed and set down the wooden spoon she was using the stir the noodles. Not knowing if it would be another prank, or someone come to talk, she set all the burners on low. "Coming, coming" she called out, making her way to the door once more. Opening the door, her brain paused, head cocking to the side before thought started up again. 'Poor thing' she thought, 'must be homeless after the evacuation' "Yes my dear?" she said in the sweetest voice she could manage

"Hi!" Budgie chirped cheerfully. "I'm Budgie! I smelled food. Can I have some? You don't have to, if you don't want. I just didn't eat enough from the trashcan this morning. I didn't have time." She looked around the home. It was so nice and clean, but not that sterile feeling like the lab. She winced, wings pressed uncomfortably against her body under the trashbag.

There's something odd... Her mind started, before it was quickly cut off. It's not like I'd kick her out anyways. "Sure, sure, always extra food at this home" She walked into the kitchen, not having to go far from the front door. "Come in, close the door behind you. It will be served shortly." As she walked into the kitchen, she pointed at a large wooden table in the kitchen, surrounded by four matching chairs "You can sit at the dining table." She set the flames on high again and went back to stirring the sauce and noodles, letting the meatballs cook on the frying pan. "I'm Olivia by the by."

"Thank you!" Budgie squealed, bouncing into the house. How exciting, she's never been in a house before. She didn't even notice the woman's prosthetics. Compared to Budgie's wings, it was quite normal. "No meat on mine, I don't like to hurt animals. Oh, Olivia, that's a pretty name!" Budgie couldn't be too cheery, considering it pained her to keep her wings hidden. She could hear them tearing and ripping until they sprang out from the trashbag. She just looked up at Olivia in horror, waiting for the screams.

Olivia nodded at the request and started to heap a pile of noodles onto a plate, covering it with tomato sauce. Turning away from the stove, holding the plate, her mind stopped again. "Wings...are they....they have to be real..." Noticing the girl's face, she tried to shrug it off. "Very beautiful wings too." She said with a small nod, limping over to the girl and setting the plate in front of her. "Hold on, I'll get you some silverware. Do you want some bread too?" She asked as she opened the oven door, adding the scent of warm bread into the air

"Uh, you're not scared of my wings?" Budgie said, taking of the trashbag. "Most people are. I'm glad you aren't! Oh boy, we should be friends then! Are my wings really pretty? I never thought they were pretty before." She danced and giggled around Olivia, very happy with childish glee.

Olivia couldn't help but smile as well. Happiness seemed to be contagious with this girl. "Why would I be scared? Angel's and Valkyries have wings after all, and they're very beautiful." She made another plate for herself, adding a couple meatballs and setting the bread on top of the plate. "Here" she said as she grabbed a pair of forks and a pair of spoons from a jar, holding them out to Budgie "Help carry these to the table for me. I can't carry much at a time."

"Okay!" Budgie cheered and grabbed the jar. She dashed over and set them on the table. She looked at the pasta, "Oh, what's that. Are those wormies? I accidentally ate a worm once when I was eating an old tomato. I felt really bad...and sicky. Oh, you won't tell the lab about me, will you? I don't want to go back."
