Dreamstar blushed a little but nodded, turning his back on her as he undressed. After a shiver, he questioned his better judgment and slid into the water. He took the scale and placed it where she told him to. He had remembered the incantation and repeated it, "E-Elune thalas, medres torrek..." He stammered.

"Did it work?" she asked, swimming forward so she couldnt' really depict through the water if he were still naked or scaley. "I think it's working.." she said, a she heard something like scales growing. "Oh, it might.. hurt.." she muttered, biting helr ip.

"N-No kidding..." Dreamstar grunted, holding his head. It felt like someone pulling all the hairs on his legs out at once. He squeezed his eyes closed and coughed as he felt his body adapt itself to the water. Little by little, the stinging subsided and the pain was less intense. He looked down tentatively and gasped as a fish's tail met his gaze.

'Amazing." she sai das she swam closer, crouching her fin, and feeling his scales. They came out all teal, like his eyes, excluding a small patch where hers had been. "Wow.." her fingertips ran along them, an she fluttered back. "O-oh. Sorry.... C'mon, let's get you used to swimming so you dont' lookl like a goof. Find teh water current.. go with it." she said, moving her shoulders firts, then the rest of her body.

Dreamstar looked down for a few more seconds before nodding. "Right." He said, following her. His first 'kick' felt extremely weird. The water glided over and around him gently and he wasn't expecting to go as fast as he did. "Whoah..." He murmured, slowing down a bit. He had a good knowledge of swimming, but this was new.

"Natural. Now follow me.. slowly." she said. Her fin didn't essentially kick like his did, but glided occoasionally bakc and forth as it needed. Once they got to her window, she slid in, and she made sure he cuold get in too. She looked around, gald taht her room had a futon of sorts. Underwater atmosphere was like you didn't even know it was water, so the beds were just normal traditional seaweed blankets. She pulled an extra from the closet, and through it on the bed. She unfolded the futon and laid donw. "I'm tired. YOu can explore if you want, just don't get lost or caught. Or too loud for my dad.." she said in a harsh whisper. ((G;night luffles))

After an awkward trip down, Dreamstar pulled himself in her window as well and looked around. "Okay." He said as he watched her lay down. He wasn't sure if he could bring himself to sleep, so he opted for exploring.

Aetera woke the next morning, a little stiff from the futon. She was facing the window, and sat up that way, not turning to see if the boy had come back. She then realized she hadn't the slightest clue waht his name was. Rubbing her head, she climbed out the window into a sunlit area under teh ewater, and sighed. BAsking in the light was all the useless mer females did. Swimming around to get some blood going, she thought about going to get some breakfast from one of her friend's moms.

Dreamstar was outside when he saw her. Silently, he caught up with her, unsure about opening his mouth underwater, just yet. It just didn't seem like a good idea. He had to admit, for a spontaneous idea to get away from a weird memory, this was one of his more interesting plans. He'd been swimming countless times and he considered himself a good swimmer, but it seemed that moving through the water was flawless, now. It blew his mind.

Aetera turned and smiled brightly, blue eyes glittering. "Hi, g'morning." she said, with a wave. "Are you still uncomfortable?" she had to admit, now that he was mer, it was hard not to stare...

"Err..." Finding his voice actually carried, Dreamstar attempted speaking again. "It's just an adjustment." He said, scratching his shoulder. "How long does this spell last for, again?" He asked, pushing hair away from his face.

Aetera laughed and tapped her chin. "It'll end by sunset-ish I think." she said, swimming around in a circle, boredly. She drew her hair back and held it there with a shell comb, and brushed some sand off of her scales.

Dreamstar followed her with his eyes and leaned back a little, "So, what is there to do around here?" He asked casually, as if he had only stepped into a different town. "More importantly, what do you guys eat?"

"Oh! Right.. I got us some breakfast. It should be at my friend's house. Her moms' the greatest, seh won't ask questiosn. Just don't talk your speak." she said, and grabbed his arm, pulling him along, behind the houses until she found the one she was waiting for.

"Nngh!" Was the only sound Dreamstar could get out as he was dragged along. He looked around at the scenery as they went past it, honestly amazed. Most of it looked so natural. Like the people had grown into the land like the plants and rocks around them.
