Seeing as the new Codex Chaos Marines isn't going to feature much in the way of Daemons, morso the men, the GW bunch have said they'll release a Codex Daemons or Codex Chaos Cults later down the line, for integration and/or a stand-alone.
Think how you can use Guard, Daemonhunters, or a mix of both.

I did finaly get a semi response from Games Workshop: Quote: Basically, while the Lost and the Damned army list is no longer ‘tournament legal’ you can still play it with your friends. Well thanks alot, but I understood that the first three times. scream Quote: We have heard that it should be making a return appearance, but we have no idea when. How bout that. Tone down the nerd rage. If your email to them was even remotely like how youre posting here, it might be a good thing you didnt get a response, if it were me Id have just trolled you.
Im pretty pissy over the new chaos rules, the BA and DA rules, the rumors of a marine remake, the lack of new orks and dark eldar, and so on. Hell, in general I really think GW is a s**t company and going downhill, and I spend more hobby time on Warmachine now as a result. Regardless, even I dont go around making pointless flame/spam comments about people that I dont know personally running a nerd hobby company.

Apoligies are nifty and all, b ut at the same time dont take me too seriously. Its a hobby. On that note, unless youre big on tournaments, you shouldnt have a problem using your lost and the damned. Be just like super heavies, and the way special characters used to be, ask your opponent, if they say no, find another opponent.
A new DA codex hasnt prevented the deathwing players i know from using the Faq and marine codex to play their army.

Ok, I don't know weather to be releaved or anoyed. In either case, I will continue to be exited over my recent discovery. to start at the begining: I've recently aquired the newest rules book, and in the back there of (pg# 264 to be exact), one can find a list of troop types of old, and their new unit type as per the new rules. Under the Chaos listing one can find the following troop types: Mutants, Big Mutants, and Traitors. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but those troops belong exclusivly to the Lost and the Damned. We also know that there is, even now, a new Chaos Codex availiable, and the LatD list is retired as of the release of said Codex. Thus, I speculate that the LatD has been absorbed into the Chaos Armies. I'll know for sure, come next month, when I recieve my new Chaos Codex.
My one great hope is that the Lost and the Damned may be included as a specialized army dedicated to the poor souls who power the mundane aspects of the forces of chaos.
May the Gods of Chaos have mercy on you, for the False God of the Imperium shall not. Death to the Carion Lord.

Only in apocalypse battles as far as I know (the plague zombie data-sheet)
But in normal games? Rule-wise no, since the codex is outdated, but with your opponents permition I'd say, yes.
